Must must must have their mozzarella sticks. Burgers was good. Fun energetic ambience. Great service for food. Tots were good but surprisingly I didn't like the fries maybe because they were little cold. And with this Cold weather they started surging chilli. They don't take reservations but they are quick at their service. Waitress responded to every thing with smile. I definitely recommend this place. (I was there for lunch with my team, so could drink beer but this place has good beer and pool options to hangout with ur gang in evening).

The food was good me and my family all got wings and fries and it was the 8 dollar special witch made it pretty cheap for 4 people. Our waiter was very nice so good service. The order took about 10 minutes so me and my mom played at the pool tables during the wait. Great time and good food

Delicious food! We weren't even drinking and still enjoyed the bar food so that should say a lot. The menu has a really great variety for a bar. The service was pretty good, friendly staff and quick turnaround on our order. Randy's is definitely old school in that the air is smoky, it's dark and dingy but in a cool, retro sort of way. Not so sure how clean it is though. Our table wasn't totally clean and from what I could see in the kitchen it seemed like an expected bar kitchen. Overall pleasantly surprised by the food here! The hangover burger was great (even not hungover) and the chicken tenders tasted homemade which was a great surprise.

Kitchen "already closed for the night" at 8:30 on a Saturday in a busy, loud bar...disappointing.

Food is good. Had the chicken tenders. Have a snack before you arrive. Slow slow slow ... did I say slow ... slow slow service.

Best burgers in Taylor. Friendly staff and large selection of beers on tap. Can't wait to ride my motorcycle over to have a burger.

I tried the chicken fried steak and fried catfish and was impressed. Kind of a smoky little beer joint, but great food and cheap beer.

It's a cute nostalgic space with old-timey instruments displayed in the corners and has a really unique feel. The wait staff is friendly and funny and very knowledgeable about the menu. Personally, I've had the big thick burger and the pulled pork sandwich. Both are delicious. Others have had the chicken fried steak, the lasagna, and everyone I've gone there with loved it. Great comfort food and delicious pie for dessert. Try it, you'll like it!

The fried green tomatoes are great here but for me, almost everything else was a disappointment. Not as kid-friendly as you'd expect. It pains me to leave such a low rating (and I rarely do) but this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had in a while. And it didn't have to be that way so hopefully my review can grab someone's attention. This place has so much potential because it's in such a cool location -- the band hall of an old high school (fun decor and cool nostalgic vibes). I had really high hopes for this restaurant but it let me down. Here's what went wrong. THE FOOD: First and foremost, the food was disappointing... except for their vegetable appetizers. The fried green tomatoes were fantastic. Nailed it in terms of texture and flavor. My husband and I were both surprised by how good they were. Their Brussels sprouts appetizer was really good as well. After that, it was all downhill. I had the Mom's Meatloaf with two sides: Cowboy Caviar and green beans. The meatloaf wasn't bad but it wasn't exactly a loaf -- it was like meatballs connected together? I didn't taste the bacon in the tomato sauce and the portion felt tiny -- same size as the sides. The sides were a real letdown. The green beans tasted like they came straight from a Jolly Green Giant can. The Cowboy Caviar (which I usually love) was so bland. It was like they just poured beans and corn and pepper and onion in and that's it. I didn't taste any seasoning. Cowboy Caviar needs to have that zing (many simple recipes use Italian salad dressing). Moving onto my husband's dish which was probably the worst part. His tomato soup tasted like marinara sauce but we were hoping the filet mignon would deliver. It was simply not good. It wasn't as tender as filet mignon needs to be -- it was chewy. It did seem to be cooked as requested (medium rare) but it didn't taste good and seemed flavorless -- almost as if the meat was poor quality. Now, I know that filet mignon is a much more mild tasting cut and less flavorful than a ribeye for instance, but still, something felt very off with this steak. Neither of us enjoyed it and that's a bummer (especially at that price point). KIDS: Usually restaurants like this one are more kid-friendly so I was a bit surprised. Our kids are 3.5YO and 2YO. They brought a booster for my youngest. It had no straps at all (which I'm not even complaining about because those straps are broken at literally every restaurant). We were in a booth so it worked okay mostly. What I'm unhappy about is the lack of coloring options and kids menus. We were not brought any crayons and coloring paper upon seating so we inquired. The waitress said she'd look and ended up coming back with crayons and some paper placemats to doodle on? I respect the ingenuity but I was confused. They have crayons on hand but they don't offer them to the kids? What's the deal with that? They didn't have a kids menu printed anywhere and the waitress just told us the offerings out loud. So is there an official kids menu or not? I'd like to be able to see the prices as well. Also a bit perplexing. We went ahead and ordered one grilled cheese for the kids to share and I'm glad because it was big but also not very good. The bread was too dense so it was more of a bread sandwich. My kids weren't that into it. Almost forgot -- the fries that came with the grilled cheese were actually very good (got to give credit where it's due). TIME: Our food took forever. It wasn't a fun wait -- the kids were getting super restless. The waitress stopped by a couple times to tell us that "our food is just around the corner." Even though it ended up being untrue -- I appreciate her checking in.

My daughter and I both ordered the Jumbo Fried Catfish Meal - $13.99 which comes w/ 2 pieces of fried catfish, French fries, chips w/ your choice of queso or salsa, and a drink. Such a great value for the price. While the fish was made fresh & came out hot (and tasted really good), the French fries weren't as fresh & came out soggy/stale. Plenty of seating & parking. Service was great! Hope this info helps!

The street corn was Smokey and spicy. - Gouda cheesesteak - with crispy fries. It was excellent. - Redfish Ponchatrain. It was topped with shrimp and was really enjoyed. Great portion too. - 2 people ordered blackened catfish and both loved it. They're baked potato was huge and loaded, there's sweet potato fries were waffle and delicious and their mashed potatoes and chips and salsa. We're both excellent sides as well. - kiddo had a kids burger and fries and loved it. -I had black and chicken with a side, Caesar salad and the sautéed vegetables and I was not excited but needed to eat something to keep up with my macros, and the chicken was flavorful and delicious, the vegetables were seasoned well, and the salad was wonderful as well. I would 100% get this meal again. The service and food were excellent excellent. We will be back!

Service is outstanding, we were greeted and got our drink orders in about 60 seconds after we sat down. Our daily special was the chicken and dumplings, and we got fried okra, mashed potatoes, pintos, collards, and gravy between us for sides. Everything was fresh and homemade, and very, very tasty. Good solid country fare. If you're originally from rural vs urban, you'll feel right at home. If you want old time country diner experience, you'll be pleased. Just to clarify, this is a "seat yourself" place, with a LARGE SIGN stating that as you walk in. There is no door greeter/hostess station, and the counter is as far away from the front door as you can get and still be in the same room. (They also have a sign at the entrance about the card fee, like most places do these days). Well worth a return visit!
