Ive been to Rang a couple times now and its been a hit and miss but my drink this time was sooo so good. I got the jasmine matcha cream top and the flavors of both combined perfectly! My friends got the banana matcha which was okay as im personally not a big fan of banana in general but did like the toffee bits inside. Would definitely come back for the jasmine matcha!!
Rang's matchas are my current hyperfixation! I genuinely cannot recommend their drinks enough. Definitely check Rang Coffeehouse's IG for their daily menu, as availability for certain drinks can vary. I tried their mango sticky rice matcha latte on my first visit and was HOOKED. Every flavor component shined through without overshadowing others. In other iterations of this drink from locations around the Bay Area, I've found that the mango flavor gets easily lost, which was impressively not the case here! I also love the guava matcha einspanner; having both guava puree and foam really made the flavor pop. Had a few sips of the ube and pandan matchas as well, both of which were super flavorful. The matcha itself is smooth and strong. They hand-whisk their ceremonial grade matcha and their toppings/foams are made in-house, all of which contribute to the high quality of their drinks. Plus, no up-charge for oat milk, which always gets brownie points from me. Ordering through the kiosk was a breeze and we didn't have to wait long for our order. I'd note that some menu items tend to sell out (they were sold out of the guava matcha einspanner by around 5pm the first time I visited) and I tried calling ahead to check availability with no answer, so I'd come earlier in the day just to be sure you can get the drink you want.
Ok I rlly do like Rang, but theyve been a bit inconsistent lately imo. Their drinks are very delicious and you can really taste the quality, but lately ive noticed that theyve been putting way too much cream topping in their drinks. Each time I've ordered a drink with a cream top, it seems as if the coffee is getting less and less... rang pls fix this!! For context, I had asked my brother to help me order an egg coffee earlier today, and when he came back I genuinely was like wtf is this. There's basically more cream than coffee!!! In the other pic (ordered at a diff date) you can see an ube coffee, and the ratio is a bit better but the drink is still half ube cream. Again I still rlly like Rang, their matcha drinks are solid, but I'll def need to come back again to see if the coffee drinks are fixed. Review to be updated!
Inside of Rose Tea Lounge, I came here on a Sunday around 1:30pm because my friend wanted to try the Rang Coffee Matcha pop up. Usually there's a long line for this, but think I caught it at a good time because I only waited a few people ahead of me. You order from the kiosk and their pop up is Wednesday through Sunday from 8 to 3 PM. I got the Guava Matcha Einspanner ($7). The guava was delicious. I liked the cream on top because it was so creamy and the flower decor was a cute touch. The matcha was really good and you can taste the matcha. This place can get really busy. They have some seating but they leave their door open and the AC unit isn't that strong so it can get really hot inside. I'm excited for their actual store to open up.
FINALLY got to try their pop-up at Rose Tea Lounge in Elk Grove. I've been eyeing posts of their drinks on IG for months. Specifically, I've had my eye on their Cookie Butter Matcha and Earl Grey Matcha. For this visit I decided to go with the Cookie Butter Matcha. I liked the cream they put on top and you can definitely taste the cookie butter flavor as well as the Biscoff cookie crumbles. It was a good balance between the cookie butter flavor and the matcha although I tasted the cookie butter a little more than the matcha. Overall, I LOVED it and excited for their actual Rang Coffee storefront to open soon also in Elk Grove so they can have their own place! The Earl Grey Matcha is definitely the next drink for me to taste next.
Currently a pop-up in Rose Tea Lounge during select hours, but they will soon have their own location. I've tried the following: banana matcha, sesame matcha, earl grey matcha, strawberry matcha, mango matcha. Although it has "coffee" in its name, people generally come here for the good matcha. I've only ever ordered matcha from here, so my rating doesn't factor in their coffee drinks. You shouldn't expect the pre-sweetened/mix; the matcha served here is actually what matcha is supposed to taste like. I've tried several matcha drinks here and have enjoyed them. It's whisked properly so you don't get that gritty texture that some places of lesser quality serve. I've come in the afternoon hours and it's been a full house. You order at the kiosk. It can be a bit of a wait, so be prepared. Also be prepared to hear music blasting, and their system is messed up right now so it's skipping as well...not really the most pleasant atmosphere. [Side Story: Eggstra-Exasperating Easter! The concept was so cute - hunt for golden eggs with vouchers to redeem for gift cards. However, it was so poorly executed. No one working had any idea what was happening! I came first thing on Easter Sunday morning (8am) since it said first come first serve, but the employees had no info and to come back at 10am, so I left. After feeling like the business was falsely advertising, I called and they were able to connect us with the person who created the hunt. So we drove back (before 10am) and participated in the hunt. Most golden eggs had candy, while some had voucher. I was happy to find the gift card vouchers ($10/voucher), but the fun was a bit ruined due to the lack of organization. Really liked the idea behind it, but execution could've for sure been better!]
Obsessed, one of my favorite go to matcha places. I bring everyone here that is visiting from out of town. Staff is friendly and welcoming, very cute interior/hangout spot. Would definitely always recommend!
I've liked everything I've tried so far. My favorites are the Earl Grey Matcha Latte and Hojicha Latte. I feel like they make their drinks a lot faster than Rose :D Self order kiosk.
great matcha and menu! there's so many options on the menu for matcha flavors and some seasonally rotate. matcha is strong and great flavor pairings. got the mango sticky rice matcha & guava matcha (would get less sweet next time vs full). place is a very nice lounge to hang out in. service was nice.
Parking: Small lot with very limited spots. super busy area with a packed plaza Interior: inside rose tea lounge which has a large space for bigger groups. it usually is very busy which a lot of the seating taken. limited outlets but still a good study spot. Wait Time: 30-45min to order when they had BOGO and 10-20min for the drinks. Items Order: 10/10 Pandan Coconut Cloud $7.5 9/10 Pandan Matcha $7.75 10/10 Ube Matcha $7.75 10/10 Corn Matcha $7.75 7/10 Mango Sticky Rice Matcha $7.75 10/10 Persimmon Matcha $7.5 9/10 Cookie Butter Matcha $7.75 6/10 Matcha Eispanner $7.75 10/10 Ube Coffee $6.5 10/10 Pandan Coffee $6.5 8/10 Black Sesame Hojicha $7.75 Overall RANG is my favorite coffee/matcha combo spot in the bay. Both are very consistent and just overall good with plenty of combinations of flavors. Noteworthy are the pandan, ube, corn, persimmon! The only downside really was the wait for the BOGO and their mango sticky rice matcha and eispanner were very meh.
Overall: 3.5/5 Came to Rang Coffee at one of their pop-ups in another location. Service was nice and overall pricing on their drinks were average. Drinks: - Vietnamese Coffee: strong and bitter, but coffee felt thin (became watered down quickly) - Matcha Einspanner: creamy and sweet, but tastes more milky than matcha. Wish the matcha flavor was stronger
The prices of these drinks vary but cost up to $9 after tax, which is insane.. I tried the Double Matcha, and the Matcha Einspanner. After tax, it costed $8.97 each. Some other drinks are slightly cheaper. You can choose between oat milk or whole milk without an extra charge. And you can adjust the sweetness too. I always do 25% which is still on the sweeter side for me. I appreciate that they don't add a ton of ice. The matcha itself tastes decent and strong, but I've had fresher and higher quality matcha in other cafes. I liked the Einspanner more than the double matcha because I love whipped cream. The workers here aren't the friendliest. They keep the cafe nice and warm inside and I do enjoy bringing my laptop and doing work here. You get the WiFi password on your drink receipt. Theres plenty of seating but it does get crowded in the afternoon on weekdays. I do want to try some of the other flavors, but I'm hesitant due to the high prices.
Finally tried Rang Coffee since there's been so much hype around it, and as someone who loves matcha, I was really excited to give it a shot. I ended up getting the pandan matcha with whole milk, and unfortunately it just wasn't for me. The flavor leaned pretty artificial, and it was a lot sweeter and thicker than I expected, which threw me off. I was hoping for something more balanced and matcha-forward, but it didn't quite hit. For the price, I wouldn't come back specifically for the matcha. I'd honestly rather grab a boba drink instead, especially since it's located inside Rose Tea Lounge, which makes it easy to go that route. Really wanted to love this one, but it just didn't live up to the hype for me.
I went on a Thursday morning a little after 10 am and there was a small line (4-5 parties ahead). Not bad at all based on the popularity of the pop-up coffee shop. The menu board was above the counter showing the drink menu. I also referred to the Rang Coffee Instagram for any new drinks they may have just released. To place your order there is a kiosk. While I was searching the kiosk a couple of employees were whisking the matcha. I decided to ask if they had any advice on the level of sweetness. Both staff provided very thorough and helpful information. They were both specific as to why the particular sweetness level was suggested in order to enhance the natural flavor of the matcha or hojicha drinks. I took their advice for the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha and opted for 75% because I still wanted it taste some sweetness in the drink. But they did say 50%-75% was their recommendation. Definitely ask for their opinion if you're on the fence on what type of alterations you may want to make for the drink. The hojicha maintained a natural earthy flavor. It was quite good. I also really enjoyed the Pandan Coconut Coffee. I was worried the level of cream to coffee would be too much, but once I mixed the two layers it was delightful. The coffee was still decently strong but the cream cut through provided the right amount of sweetness. It was well balanced and I am excited to try other coffee drinks especially the egg coffee. The mango sticky rice matcha was very refreshing. I was able to taste the different flavors as they all were present. This is my favorite drink of the three, but I am exited to try the corn latte the next time I visit. read more
BANANA MATCHA LATTE Matcha is thick and earthy. The banana topping adds a slightly sweet taste! I'm personally not a huge fan of cinnamon, so I'll order without it next time. It was a little overpowering. Everyone was super nice. Took about 15 minutes to get my drink during a rush. Right now, Rang is just a temporary pop up at Rose Tea Lounge-EG. Its usually pretty busy/loud inside. Eventually they'll have their own spot across from CRC. Hoping for a slower, more cafe vibe! read more

Matcha is so good here! I tried a mango sticky rice matcha & it was 10/10! I would say do 50% sweetness since it was super sweet when I tried 75%! Strawberry matcha was a 10/10 as well but again super sweet! & the guava matcha was an 8/10! Not my favorite- it was all very good though & fresh! I would definitely come again! Service is a self serve kiosk , so not really a customer experience but I would say the kiosk is very up to date & I love how it shows a description of each drink! The places ambiance is very cutesy & aesthetically pleasing! It even has a little set up to take pictures! read more

Came here on Christmas day at 9:30am and I was grateful that there was no line. Since each drink is whisked when ordered, it took longer than other places that make batches of matcha. So be prepared to wait awhile if you come late or at peak time. The menu has all the Asian flavors that I cannot resist like Pandan, black sesame, ube, etc. Paired with either matcha, coffee, and/or Hojicha. It was hard to decide, so I ordered two drinks for myself and it did not disappoint. I heard from a friend that the drinks run sweet, so I ordered both with 25% sweetness level and I am glad I did. The cream tops were in fact sweeter than other places I've been to, once it was well mixed, it was perfectly balanced. Both black sesame and roasted green tea flavors came through in the Hojicha. The Pandan Matcha was also great. I would order both again. read more
Inside Rose Tea Lounge you can find Rang Coffee, the prices vary but the drinks are a little on the high end. I think the strawberry matcha latte is the same drink I had from Rose Tea a long time ago except there was more matcha then strawberry syrup. If you don't like matcha I suggest not ordering this drink because the matcha is very strong. I think this place is a little overhyped. This is a place that I probably would not frequent just because of how expensive the drinks are. read more
Go early and no lines to get your coffee and matcha from Rang. My four drinks came out pretty fast and looks just like the advertised pictures . The coffee is strong, the ways I like it . The Matcha is smooth and not powdered blends well with the mango and sticky rice. Now Rang gives me another option for Matcha & Vietnamese Coffee in EG. read more

Mixed it and drank before getting a picture because it was that good!! Decided to try rang (inside of rose tea lounge) for Valentine's Day and it did not disappoint. Parking was minimal because of the popularity and being next to in n out and raising canes but we found a spot and there was a decent line one we got inside. We waiting about five minutes before ordering and the menu was super cute. It's a self order kiosk and the vibes were cool with good music playing. The banana matcha was probably the best I've tried because it tasted like banana throughout rather than just sitting on top. 75% sweet was perfect and the drank came out in ten minutes. Have been addicted to this place since my first visit about a month ago. Its a pop up inside of Rose tea lounge in the mornings on certain days of the week. The line can get really long so plan accordingly. Ive tried the persimmon match, double matcha, and panda matcha. My favorite is probably the double matcha. I have heard the triple matcha is alsonvery good but havent had the opportunity to try it yet because its out of stock. read more
(3.5/5) I stopped by Rang Coffee on Christmas Day and ordered 7 drinks, all with oat milk. The younger barista who handed me my drinks was super sweet and cheerful, which I really appreciated, especially on a holiday. Order included: Corn matcha (2), Mango matcha, Banana matcha, Earl Grey matcha, Mango Sticky Rice matcha, and a Vietnamese coffee. The Vietnamese coffee was solid. You really can't go wrong there. The Earl Grey oat matcha was decent, but the banana matcha was definitely the standout for me. Nothing was necessarily wrong with the drinks. I do think the portion size may take away from the creaminess, and some drinks could use a bit more syrup or matcha to really shine. Since Rang is an extension of Rose Tea Lounge and focuses mainly on matcha and Vietnamese coffee, there's definitely room to refine and elevate the flavors. I'd also love to see espresso options added in the future. I do like that they offer so many unique matcha flavors you can try in one place. Ordering is done through the kiosks at the front, then you wait for your drinks. Overall, I'd come back and give them another try. read more

I love this place so much! The matcha is incredibly smooth and not powdery at all, and it's been consistent each time that I go. Located inside of rose tea lounge and permanent, according to the employees. Service is quick if you go before 12pm (before the rush), but the employees try their best to not keep you waiting for too long. I got the iced strawberry matcha 100% sweetness with whole milk while my sister got the iced double matcha. The strawberry is so fresh, you can tell that they use real strawberries and not syrups. This is my favorite place to get matcha in the EG area! read more

BEST MATCHA IN EG! I love making my own matcha at home and some places never do matcha justice but this place has! It's so rich and creamy, I went here on a whim not knowing how much I would come to love it. I watched the staff hand whisk the matcha which is super cool too! They were quick and they gave out good recommendations when I asked! They are a pop-up at Rose Tea Lounge from 11am-3pm, I believe but I did see that they are opening a location up soon so let's support and try them out! read more
I went in the morning and was happy to see there was no line. I ordered the mango sticky rice matcha. The mango was a bit stronger than expected. I also expected actual rice since I have tried this flavor elsewhere with actual rice, but none was to be found. I am interested in trying their other drinks next time. read more
Came for the popup event. Wait is pretty long especially on weekends. I got the coconut ube matcha latte. It was pretty good. The matcha tasted just like the ones I had in Japan before. The Ube foam is really good as well. Happy they extended their popup! read more
This pop up at rose tea (in Fremont) was so good. I love how rich and thick the banana matcha was. I've tried 3 drinks so far and none of them had misssed. I'm also a big fan of their matcha einspinner which isn't too thick. They need to open a shop asap! read more

I happened to go before the line got long. I love that you can order through the kiosk. I decided on the persimmon matcha latte since it's only seasonal. I went with the suggested milk and sweetness and I thought the drink was yummy. It's unique because I haven't seen other places make a persimmon drink. The colors were pretty and the matcha was good quality. Definitely a winner. read more

Decided to stop by last Thursday around 10:30am. When I arrived that morning there was one person ahead of me ordering at the kiosk. There were a few others who were sitting down and enjoying their drinks. When I was attempting to place my order, I wanted to use the cash I had on hand, but was told that cash is not accepted, so be prepared to pay with a card. I ordered 3 Mango Sticky Rice Matchas and 1 Pandan Coconut Matcha. I waited maybe 5-8 minutes for my order to be ready. I love that you receive text messages once your order is done! They also call out your order number as well, so be listening if you did not receive a text message. After I received my order I noticed the line slowly started to form. I got my 4 drinks to go and headed home. The mango sticky rice and the pandan coconut were both delicious. I love how the mango and the pandan did not over power the matcha. I will definitely be back to try other matcha flavors! read more
Heard about their pop-up care through social media, and their drinks convinced me to give them a try. They're located inside Rose Tea Lounge and offer a great selection of matcha and Vietnamese coffee drinks. I tried the Banana Matcha, and it was right up my alley -- you can really taste the banana, and the matcha flavor was nicely balanced. What's unique about them is how they've leveled up the matcha game with creative options like Corn Matcha and Mango Sticky Rice Matcha, which are next on my list. Heard a lot about this place's matcha and got the chance to try it today. I was here doing work from 12-3pm and it's like rush hour all the time! Never a moment there wasn't a line and the door opening. Props to the workers for being on their feet the whole time! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy Rang's matcha that much. Both my friend and I agreed the matcha was too grainy and did not go down smoothly (which makes a quality matcha drink). The separate flavors were good on their own though. My pandan was delicious and I tried my friend's mango sticky rice which was pretty good. The fries were okay; I like how crunchy they were. However I was not expecting this Cheeto dust for the cheddar cheese option. I was expecting cheese melted and I think that's a normal assumption. Using this dust doesn't mix well with the matcha, either because it just doesn't or because of the matcha quality. This place is always loud because of how popular it is and the music. Wasn't sure if it's because it's Rose's vibe, but I guess Rang's too. The purple lighting that gets more intense when it becomes Rose/night may be making the order look really radioactive lol. We're such a huge fan of Rose Tea, we decided to try the Rang pop-up! The line was out the door, the but went rather quick. Unfortunately the wait for our drinks was longer than normal but totally understandable since it's real, fresh, genuine match! We ordered the Ube Matcha, Pandan Matcha and Double Matcha! So delicious! Of course, the ambiance and decor is so trendy and beautiful giving such a modern vibe. read more

Been keeping up with the matcha hype and love seeing so many places come out w their own unique flavors! This place definitely caught my eye with theirs. They have so many options but I had to try the mango sticky rice one. It was perfect! Place is open Thursdays-Sundays until 2pm and gets pretty packed but they are quick with it! I would definitely come back to try the others. Husband tried the egg coffee flavor as well. Better known for their matcha though! read more

We tried the new matcha place in EG . We got there a little bit after 8 and there was a line already. There's a little wait for the drink since they manually whisk each drink. I ordered mango matcha sticky rice, 50% with oat milk and the sweetness is perfect. The only thing is, the mango overpowered the matcha. read more

Matcha lovers come one, come all. PLEASE TRY RANG!!! Honestly a review I should've left ages ago. Words cannot express how often me and my family crave Rang. It's 100% worth the trip and wait time every single visit. Every matcha is hand whisked in house and their matcha powder is by far the best tasting and strongest in the Elk Grove area. My go to is the earl grey matcha, its sweet, vanilla flavor pairs so well with the bitter matcha. But by FAR the underdog is their double hojicha. My family adores this drink (me and my girlfriend especially)! Its chocolatey umami flavor and creamy top makes it delicious every time. I never see anyone talk about their hojicha so please give it a try sometime! If you're looking for good tasting matcha, a kind, friendly staff and bubbly team of workers, or overall a nice place to sit and chat with friends, Rang is the place for you! Their matcha's tend to come pretty sweet so I usually opt for 75% sugar, but so far we haven't had a coffee or matcha here we didn't like. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and waited around 30 minutes, and I'd say it was worth it. This is a pop-up shop inside Rose Tea Lounge, open from 8 AM to 3 PM (Yelp has the wrong time). I ordered their Corn Matcha with oat milk, and it was amazing and not too sweet, and the corn flavor definitely complemented the matcha. The service was excellent; the staff answered all my questions with the best attitude. I'd definitely come back again before the pop-up ends and would love to try their Panda Coconut Matcha because it looks so pretty. read more

I heard good things about this place, so I was curious about their drinks. We went there before 10AM on a Sunday to avoid the long lines in the afternoon rush. There were a few people already sitting inside, but only one person ahead of us in line. We ordered at the kiosk - a strawberry matcha latte and two persimmon matcha lattes. I was initially going to order the mango sticky rice matcha, but I saw that the persimmon was new and seasonal. We were all disappointed with our drinks. The flavor of the persimmon puree was not apparent, and I wish they added more. Even though the oat milk was recommended on the kiosk screen for the drinks, I should have opted for regular milk - the oat milk overpowered everything else in the drink. For the price (over $7 per drink), I don't think it's worth it. Apparently the mango sticky rice matcha is good, so if I ever do come here again, I'll get that instead. read more

I decided to try this place out while I was in Elk Grove. It was located inside of Rose tea lounge so it wasn't difficult to find. Orders are done through serve serving kiosks which is nice because it allows you to look at the menu properly and see details about each drink. The matcha and hojicha are hand whisked so orders might take some time, but it's worth the wait. I had some questions and the girl who helped answer them was very helpful. The drinks themselves were so good. I ordered an earl grey matcha and a sesame hojicha for my fiancé. 10/10 will definitely return the next time I'm in Elk Grove! read more
WOW! So much matcha flavors to choose from, I didn't know what to try but ultimately settled on the coconut pandan matcha, which was absolutely delicious. I've tried pandan matcha before, but none of them compare to Rang's as the pandan flavor was strong and present. The service is super quick despite the long line ahead of me, I got my drink in matter of minutes. Rang Coffee is located inside of Rose Tea Lounge, and the place was clean, spacious, with lots of seating. read more

Finally got the chance to check out rang and I definitely get the hype now. I'm not a huge matcha person, but I do enjoy it every now and then. I got the pandan and it was great! Had a nice pandan flavor that was not too strong and I could still taste the matcha as well. If anything, I would get it without the coconut flakes next time. Service was fast, although no interactions from the workers and kiosks are easy to navigate. read more

went on a saturday morning and it was packed, the line was to the door. located in rose tea lounge which is typically a boba shop, but rang is a thurs-sun pop up. not too sure how long it'll run for though. free parking in the plaza which is pretty big but is also pretty busy. interior has a decent amount of seating but it may be hard to find a seat depending on how packed it is. they also decorated it for halloween which was cute! - pandan coconut matcha w oat milk and 50% sugar (3.5/5): good pandan flavor and the toasted coconut was a nice touch, my bf really liked it and said he thought it was a 4.5! personally am not the biggest pandan fan so i rated it a little lower - mango sticky rice matcha w oat milk and 50% sugar (4/5): strong mango and coconut flavor! tastes just like mango sticky rice but there was a slight durian undertone. i like durian though so i didn't mind it. pretty sweet at 50% though - persimmon matcha latte w oat milk and 50% sugar (3/5): one of the seasonal drinks! tbh didn't taste like persimmon but still tasted good, lowkey tasted like soy milk? the little bits of persimmon jam are nice though - corn matcha latte w oat milk and 50% sugar (2/5): this was weird. the corn cream had decent flavor but was gelatinous/had a drinkable mochi texture?? i also feel like i've had drinks w stronger corn flavor overall, pretty good and i really liked their menu. pricing is standard these days (~$7) would come back to try other items. read more
