Great birthday experience! Location: Located in the Lowes parking lot just off of Calvin. There is no drive through but there is ample parking in the lot in the adjoining lot shared with Lowes. The location has seating inside and a small patio on the outside. This area around Calvine can sometimes get dingy but the Starbucks did not have any indication of that with clean interior and the patio looked well taken care of. Service: I came here for my birthday drink and the staff was very friendly. The standard Happy Birthday writing on the cup but they also gave a sample of pastries to try as well. Quite an awesome little extra from the staff and I really appreciate that. Service was quick and the manager talking to the employees seemed very friendly. Food/Drink: I ordered the Iced Ube Coconut Macchiato to give the drink a try. It was pretty good but the Ube taste is understated not bad if its not your thing but still something I would consider buy again if I was looking for a sweet treat. This drink should be mixed before you try it to get the full effect. The bakery goods we received were the Chocolate Pistachio Loaf and the Strawberry Matcha Loaf. Really enjoyed the Pistacho loaf, tasted great and the pistacho pieces were crunchy and really tied the loaf together. I come to this location often as it is close to my house. The service is always great as the barista's always seem to be in a great mood and very helpful. This location can get crazy during the school months as kids like to hang out here. So just a heads up i would avoid this location during that time as the wait can be really long. This Starbucks is together with Lowe's and other shops and restaurants in a very convenient location. The parking lot is very big with many available parking spaces all the times. I have ordered defective drinks from this Starbucks, including Frappuccino, Latte, Mocha etc. The drinks are not excellent, but always above average. I have never had a bad drink there! It would be a five and personally I'm not a huge fan but it doesn't mean it's not a great place it's just not my favorite place. Since I drive all over town daily I'll stop by a Starbucks to get me a quick coffee. The workers are doing a great job and my drink was ready in less than 3 min with the place being packed. They do have a lot of options of everything from food to drinks. And they have a lot of options on dietary foods and drinks. You just have to know how to look and ask for the right things because there are so many options. Just wanted to point out since this is a South Sac location you'll see some odd people in the parking lot and some inside as well but besides that everything else was ok. They had sneeze guard windows installed when ringing customers up, all their furniture has been removed to avoid small gatherings, placement stickers on the ground to maintain the 6-foot distance, and the employees were all wearing masks! Sounds like a no brainer mentioning these changes but you'd be surprised when encountering a restaurant or coffee shop that isn't following state ordinances. Drinks are still being made to order, no shortages suffered here! I came because they had their BOGO, so yes this review was from last month... Still felt like my visit was worth reviewing especially with how Starbucks/this location has adjusted. No additional toppings were on their tabletop where you'd get the napkins. I'm sure if you wanted that extra cinnamon or whatever they'd be glad to sprinkle some on for you. Employees were still just as friendly and patient. I say this because talking through masks is tough along with a window barrier between you two and blenders going on in in the background! You can even tell if people are genuinely happy and still smiling behind their masks. You know, the slanted and squinting eyes? Lol. I could definitely see that here! More often than not, I find myself in the vicinity of this Starbucks quite frequently. It is located in a small strip mall at the edge of Lowe's parking lot. However, we usually don't find ourselves stopping here because it always looks too busy. Well, the day finally came where Joe K and I had errands and shopping to do at nearby Lowe's and Sam's Club. This seemed like a good time to take a well earned break and treat ourselves with a nice cup of good old Starbucks coffee! This time, it was less busy with a short line of customers inside. I ordered my usual non-fat iced mocha, and Joe got his Latte with an extra shot of espresso. The baristas were extremely friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. It's always nice to feel like an appreciated customer! We decided to sit outside on the patio area and enjoyed a pleasant sunny afternoon. This is a general review of Starbucks. My drink of choice is a Frappuccino. It's usually the Tazo Green Tea, but sometimes the Vanilla Bean Crème or the Strawberries & Crème. I now mostly come here so I can try all of their cake pops. Their current flavors are birthday, tiramisu, raspberry truffle, and salted caramel (new). I mobile order my coffee "Carmel Brulee Frapp no whip with extra topping" When I got there, the lady asked what my name was? I gave her my name, and she stated it wasn't ready. I waited about 8 mins. When she brought the coffee, she called out a different customer name and looked at me. I didn't answer her because obviously it was not my name she then asked what my name was again. I gave her my name when I received my coffee. I asked if the coffee came with Carmel dizzle and I ask for extra topping which there were none on the coffee. she looked at the order and said "you didn't put extra Carmel I told her I know I ask if it came with it? She answered, "Let me go check. I told her to forget the Carmel. Can I just have my extra topping? She asked one of her male coworker if they had any more of the Carmel topping he looked in the cabinet and said no we don't." If you like, we only have chestnut and other ones. at this point, I was already frustrated with their unprofessionalism so I answered nevermind ill just take it like that the male didn't give a sh*t he just turn back and left both of those employees didn't even apologize that they didn't have the topping.
