This has been my go to range for years, but after being informed that they would no longer be offering a law enforcement discount, I probably won't return. This range is really basic. There are far nicer ranges that I can go to if I'm going to pay the same price. I've read some reviews that mentioned terrible customer service, but that hasn't been my experience. They do offer defense classes and have a ladies night as well. The machine that holds the target on the lane that we were in was barely operable and nothing was done when we made a complaint. We stopped on a weekday and the place was easy to find with a big parking lot. The check in process was easy with waivers easily available but there was only one person manning to counter so there was a small wait. The lanes for pistols are about 20$ for an hour, can be shared by two and the pistols are 15$. Ammo is extra (20-30). Girls use the range free on Wednesday. The range itself is old school with a no muss no fuss feel. The quality of rentals was good and they had 5-6 different target options to choose from. Overall this is one of the cost effective places within town and a good one for girls night or small group. It gets loud so get your ear plugs and safety glasses! Wouldn't be my recommendation for a first timer but perfectly fine for people who have had experience shooting before. If i came here as my first experience shooting, I wouldn't have had the courage to go through with it but since I have been once before elsewhere, I wasn't that worried. If you decide to come here for the first time make sure to watch some videos online first to get pointers you can play over and over again and more details on using a gun for the very first time. Found out about this place and came here through a groupon deal that was really good. You get everything you need, target, gun, bullets, ear and eye protection. You are assigned a lane and there are clips on the window sills out looking the store that you use to pin your target to the board. There is a switch in your lane that will bring the board toward you so that you can hang it up. They also sell safes and jewelry (necklaces, earrings etc.). A couple of cool pieces that were made from bullet casings that cost around $20. I don't know about the history of the building but it looks like it used to be something else and was then converted into the gun range. The people working there were nice enough. We got a very quick and brief tutorial of how to load and unload the gun and given our equipment and set free. It also gets a bit hot in the shooting room. read more

This is is by far one of the best gun stores and ranges to shoot at. I took my wife here for her birthday and DJ whom I believe is the manager, was extremely accommodating to us. The whole staff was supportive as well and informative about firearms and they had a great way of communicating the details of safety, different features on firearms and tips to help better shoot. They were all so personable we both felt like we were at a family barbeque. That's just the customer service part of the review. As for the gun selection themselves, I was very pleased. They had an assortment of guns to shoot from. Every major handgun anyone wants to buy and then some. I've gone to other places where other ranges barely have any guns to shoot except certain glocks and revolvers. This place has all the noteworthy handguns from glock, sig sauer, Springfield and Smith & Wesson. So I was pleased with that cause we both got shoot all the guns I've been on the fence about purchasing for me and the wife. All in all, I'm gonna be a customer here for life. They didnt given any instructions on how to fill out the form despite I have a VALID gun license for the state of Georgia and a valid driver's license for the state of Georgia. They EMPLOYEES that work there DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO CUSTOMERS, They also have a bad perspective on life accusing consumers of having a "straw sale" or wtv that means. The first guy that helped us was very informative and we were ready to purchase two weapons along with the accessories and as I reiterate I have all the necessary information needed. The first time I tried to go they were out of ammo before 2pm. So I came back the following week in the morning, this time once I got to the register my total was way higher than expected. My coworker and I stopped by this gun range due to proximity from our workplace commute home. I expected good things due to the positive reviews, and the expectations were met. First thing we come in, we notice a well lit, organized, and clean facility. Next thing were the staff who were kind, patient, and knowledgeable. While looking around in the store in wait, the staff provided assistance and was not at all bothered by the fact that I was just looking. I have been to other locations where the owners either rush you or pressure you, and this was not the case here . While choosing the guns to rent, the staff answered all of our questions as we had many for such a wide selection of pistols and rifles. Even though I had prior experience at shooting ranges, I could tell that the staff would show same respect no matter what background the customers had. By the time we were making our way to the actual shooting range area, we were confident in our choice and felt safe as the safety protocols were drilled into our minds by the instructor. We rented 100 rounds and took turns shooting at 50 rounds each (2 people limit per lane). Although the range time is priced by the hour, 100 rounds lasted only 45 minutes. Through end of it all we had a blast and ended up paying around $25-30 each for the whole experience (rental, ear/eye protection, targets, and lane time). Full breakdown of price can be found on the website, and I can vouch for the reasonable prices from having been to at least 3 other gun ranges. After the whole ordeal, we were informed of the everyday special day have for each day of the week that saves money for different demographic. My husband and I were recommended this store by some friends that regularly shoot here. The world is so crazy now a days we both decided that it was time to arm ourselves. Not knowing anything coming into this store, we didn't really leave feeling all too confident and confused. We can't speak on the selection of merchandise for we that was our first visit to a gun store ever. I have to admit, they fit the stereotype of being "those kinds of guys" when it comes to firearms. One gentlemen was nice enough to explain a few guns for us and even offered to train us if we had purchased a gun, at a cost? We were confused as to why we would have to pay for training..surely gun store employees wouldn't let customers buy a firearm and not show them how to use it. They deserve zero stars. There's always something wrong when we come here. It's like they don't want the business? I've been here at least three times with groups varying from 2 to 3 people and they consistently find a reason to make the business transaction difficult. What really turned me off was coming in Saturday night around 7:40. They informed us that they take the last person at 8 which is fine BUT when my boyfriend got another *unrelated* call they started going on about how they can't take anyone else. First of all, if this was in fact another person coming with us whose to say they weren't parking outside? If it's 7:40 they still have at least 19 minutes to come in and get a lane. Second, there was no reason for them to in the conversation like that. There are tons of ranges in Atlanta. There's no reason to come to this one. read more

I met my friend here to shoot. He got the lane and was shooting before I got there. When I arrived, the store manager didn't let me join him though it was already paid for. He claimed you could only have two people per lane- a glance inside the range proved otherwise. There were multiple parties that had 3+ people per lane. I would've been the 3rd person in this party. I was there literally the night before when we had 3 people in our lane and the manager didn't have any opposition then. Don't waste your time with this place. It's a joke. read more

My first time coming to this Gun store and out of all the gun stores I've been too they know there brands they know what they're dealing with, I came here to this store to sell a Zeiss Scope that cost about $700-900 new I was selling it to them for $600 and they laughed and they said they don't even know that brand and I'm just thinking are y'all even a gun store they don't buy guns for more than $600 which is a joke. The guy that goes by JT laughed with his team at me, and started to ask personal questions like what kind of car you drive because I spend a lot of money on guns what I do has nothing to do with this sell. These guys are the best. I understand how people with zero knowledge or respect for firearms can get it twisted. I have seen numerous patrons in this location that are straight up dangerous. These guys have to keep a tight reign on their clientele. They get beginners more than any range I've ever seen. They do a great job of trying to keep those folks safe and educate them. Some people just don't like the truth. Shooting is very serious and needs to be taken seriously. Safety is vital!!! These guys aren't mean or rude or dismissive in the least. It's just really important that people treat all of this with the correct amount of respect, for their own and everyone's safety. First time visiting an actual store for the gun safety class. Their south location doesn't like to answer the phone. Registered online through their web site for a Tuesday course at their north location. Showed up and they wouldn't do it because one person showed up. Then gave an excuse that the instructor had pneumonia. It sounded like they wanted to move their classes to Sunday (a day I cannot attend). I was told a previous customer had problems getting the Tuesday course. I was then told show up next Tuesday and I would be given the course personally if there was another issue. If the person was offering that then why not do it while I was there. I was given a bunch of useless unfilled out looking passes ( as if I would ever return). I was a potential client looking to get responsible gun instruction and seeking to purchase two types of firearm. Which I will not be doing with them. I felt like I was disrespected because they had a no refund no reschedule policy disclaimer. They didn't even seem interested in my business. It's not like I can just drive to either location either. I had three friends visiting for the weekend and bought two vouchers for Range, Guns & Safes from Half Off Depot. All four of us drove the 30 minutes to the range on Monday morning, where we were confronted first with a sweet desk clerk and then with an extremely rude manager who refused to redeem our vouchers. We are all Canadians (although I live in the U.S.), and although I had called the week prior to confirm that we would be allowed to shoot, once we arrived at the range we were VERY rudely rejected. When I asked why the US-citizens only stipulation does not appear anywhere on their website (it doesn't) he told me to get lost alongside a torrent of jingoistic second amendment psychobabble. I will never be setting foot anywhere near this business again. They lied to me on the phone, embarrassed me in front of my visitors, and refused to take responsibility for their misinformation both over the phone and online. Came by with the Mister to meet up with a couple of our friends who were already there. We came in and the place was pretty full of people in the store, so it was hectic. Before waiting in line, we took a look around and it was interesting to see how empty the cases were from everyone buying their guns and rifles. Anyway, we were kind of pressed on time, so we had intended on just going inside to hang out with our friends and not buy range time. Upon telling the guys behind the counter, they told us we still had to fill out the forms. When we gave our forms back, they checked and then told us we couldn't go inside because they have a VERY STRICT rule of two people per lane. So there went that idea! Instead, we just hung around, checking their low inventory, their safes, and sat alongside the office wall until they were out. I like how clean this range is, and it's not insanely hot in the summer and freezing in the winter like some other shooting ranges. Staff is always friendly and prices are fair. It's location right off of I-85/I-285 so it's easy for me to get to. I've read a couple of reviews that complained about their 2 person per lane policy (which I think most ranges have). I think it's a necessary policy, having too many people in one lane at the same time increases risk of accidents, especially if there is someone in there who doesn't know what they're doing. read more

Both times so far I've been here on Sundays right when they open. Either people must be still at church or at brunch, as both times we're either the first or one of the first to be on the range. They seem to usually post deals on Half Off Depot and some other deal sites. Which is good as Half Off has been adding 15-25% off lately on top of the deal. Location: Located right before the north bound exit of Pleasant dale, the entrance would be hard to get to for those trying to make a left turn to get into the complex. I would suggest staying on the far right lane of the access road after the intersection. Then making the first right of the office suites and following the drive way down. Facilities: Both times the range lanes were pretty clean. No stepping in gum or that mess. I have yet to go to the rifle range with my AR15. But the pistol range sometimes has one chair in there that we usually use to set stuff on that I don't like putting on the ground. Target hangers are regular binding clips on a cardboard template. I'm still wondering how some people shoot these unless they are blind firing or aiming directly for it. Temperature seems to vary. The firs time it was hot, and they had little cubicle space fans in each lane. The latest time, the A/C was on blast and I decided to leave my thin jacket on. Service: The employees greeted us as soon as we walked in. The only time some one was a bit of a gun range snob was right after I informed on of my noob friends to aim the gun down BEFORE we go into the range, one of the employees snarkly "informed", "no, aim the gun that way (pointing at the range). I quickly stated, "well I meant point it down WHILE WE WALK INTO the range". His colleagues kind of looked at him after that and shrugged it off. Next time I'll get his name and leave a tip of NOT to ask for him. Hopefully he's not the owner's son or the like. Cost: Cost is on par with Marksmen shooting range in mid upper norcross of peachtree industrial as far as range time goes. They also use Atlanta Arms (reloaded rounds) as the main ammunition supplier. A 50 rd box of 9mm's cost about $15. A box of 50 rd .40 cals runs $22. Better off to go to walmart and buy some Winchesters before heading here instead. Overall: I would recommend this place, as there is no wait and down the road from my home. Normally I would go to down town lawrenceville, but their wait times could be up to an hour or more. Just bring your own bullets unless you have to rent out one of their guns. read more

I'm writing this review based on my experience during store and range visits over the past 90 days. I've been to 3 other ranges in the area and I felt like this is one of the better places. Aside from being close to home, they have a good number of lanes (air-conditioned) as well as range targets to choose from. Admittedly... I pay a little more to go here because 'cheaper' ranges attract lower quality customers and people who really need to educate themselves on gun safety. you also have employees regularly going in and out of the range to sweep casings from the floor and ensure the experience is up to par with expectations. For the quality I think the price is justified, and I appreciate the fact that they offer monthly firearm courses free of charge. My girlfriend and I are both attending one, and she has admitted she enjoys this range much more than the others we have visited as well. Staff is knowledgeable and there is a good selection of rental firearms for range time, provided you also purchase the ammo from them too. There is also a large inventory of gunsafes, holsters, and soft cases/bags for a variety of handguns as well as range/self defense ammo. Another reason why I am impressed with this range is they have no qualms whatsoever helping you get what you want even if they do not carry it. They've mentioned websites as well as other local small businesses with quality gunsmiths they'd recommend for firearm customization. Rather than a 'sorry, can't help you' answer, they are proactive and that says alot about the kind of employees there. The only reason I dont give 5 stars in this review is because their prices for firearms are higher than the local gun store I regularly purchase from. I'd be happy to purchase from them if they were willing to price match but am unsure whether they do or not.
