The black beans were rich and flavorful, the empanadas were crisp and satisfying, and the Yuca con Guasacaca dish was so good it honestly surprised me. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. I'll definitely be back to try more things on the menu. It's a very comfortable casual restaurant. We were enjoying watching the World Cup.

Our server was great! She was nice, checked on us and refilled our waters frequently. Entrees: - Pabellion Criollo: meat was a little too salty for my friend's taste but she said the rice balances it out really well. They accommodated her request for scrambled instead of fried eggs. - Asado Negro: Sooo good. It was like, beef and gravy, but better. They allowed me to sub the beans for extra rice - Surf and turf sandwich: Hubby said it was okay but adding more of the green sauce helped a bit - Filet mignon (can't remember the exact name): our other friend liked his staff as well! They also accommodated his request to have the egg on the side. I guess it could be a hole in the wall place since it's in an unassuming small business strip but the music was good and everyone loved the food! Be warned: there is only 1 bathroom so plan your potty break accordingly...

So far, I've…read moregotten the Chicken Tortilla Soup and the Pabellón Plate (with chicken), and both were great. The chicken was not dry and the portions left me full. Plenty of menu options as well. The staff are warm, welcoming, and accommodating (we came with a group of 6 and they got us situated right away). The space is small (which I find very nice), there is indoor and covered/shaded outdoor seating available. And I love the decor! Overall, highly recommend!

My husband ordered their burrito, which came with chips and a cheese dip on the side. Their shrimp was good; nothing special. I did ask to try aleida's sauce, which many people liked on yelp, but we liked their green sauce the most! Overall, very cute and colorful restaurant; loved all the decor. The outdoor patio, where we sat, was covered and nice, until it started pouring hard outside. Not a super authentic latin restaurant. No complimentary chips and salsa. My taco wasn't worth more than $5, tbh, and we paid close to $9..given it was shrimp, but we've had much better shrimp tacos elsewhere for less. I wish I had a photo of my poor taco, but I totally forgot to take a picture :/

The churro toast was tasty, but a bit on the overly sweet side - I would skip and opt for the pancakes instead, which were unreal. Soft and fluffy inside, lightly crisp on the outside, topped with caramelized plantains and an incredible whipped cream. They're easily some of the best pancakes I've had in Austin, and I'd come back just for those. The space is beautiful and the service is on point, but brunch here feels seriously underrated. Both times we went it was surprisingly quiet, which makes sense since Ember seems to be better known for dinner. If you're looking for a great brunch without the usual wait, definitely give it a try.

Carrots were undercooked and soggy at the same time. Tuna tartare was solid but the plantain chips were so thin they broke when you tried to use them as a chip. Nice concept but had little flavor to the plantain. Yucca chips were nice. 1/2 chicken was dry and overpowered by citrus. Market fish was divine. Ambiance was beautiful however it smelled like a mix of fabuloso and used restrooms which was tough to get past. We were also seated in a busy hallway that made it hard to have a conversation. Service was great and they have such a nice and helpful staff. Underwhelmed and we won't be back unfortunately.

The outdoor tables are covered with blue umbrellas to protect you from the pesky sun. So I walk into Lima with a food blank slate. I was not super hungry, but I wanted something to quench my hunger. I ordered the Aguadito soup (chicken soup with rice and cilantro) and plantains along with a Alfajores cookie (made with dulce de leche). The soup came with chicken on the bone along with fluffy rice, peas and carrots. OMG...this soup was amazing!!! It tasted like something your grandmother would prepare. I am a picky when it comes to plantain (no green, hard plantain for me). The menu stated, "golden, caramelized sweet plantain, fried to perfection). Lima had me caramelized. My ideal plantain is sweet with a crispy edges. Lima's plantains are my new favorite! Don't tell anyone, but I ate them with my hands...like a little kid. The cookie was also baked to perfection...really enjoyed my cookie. When I walked in, I was immediately escorted to a table by a friendly hostess and server. She was quiet-spoken and super nice. This was an excellent dining experience...will definitely be back...sooner than later!

My husband ordered their tacu tacu limeno which was 19.95, came with garlic rice, few pieces of tomatoes, and beef in a watery stew. My pork was cooked well, and it was really juicy, and the sauce was flavorful and paired really well with the rice. My husband's beef was tender and cooked well too. His tasted similar to a filipino dish. Servers were nice and attentive. Prices are a bit steep for the amount of food they give you, but it could just be the area they're in. Next time we come, I would like to try their ceviche! Overall, it was a good restaurant. Parking can be a bit tough since parking spaces are tight and there's also a boiling crab in the same plaza; people can definitely park better too.
