We had a great meal at this classic Italian restaurant! Our server, Beth, was lovely and helpful with menu suggestions. We started out with a good bruschetta appetizer followed by salads with their signature dressing. The dressing had a great tang and was seasoned perfectly. For entrees, I loved my rigatoni rosata; the sauce was wonderful and clearly made with care. The folks I dined with spoke highly of the bolognese and classic cheese pizza; I tried the latter and loved it (and found myself craving it later). The fresh bread was great, too. The atmosphere felt like a classic, homey Italian restaurant, complete with live piano. We'll definitely be back on our next visit! read more

Me & the fam stopped into this quaint little Italian restaurant close to our hotel..we were absolutely blown away by the food! My husband and I both had pizzas, kids pasta...they managed to seat us despite being extremely busy..at first we were skeptical of the quality but the pizza chef working was fun to watch, obviously very experienced..sporting a backwards hat with white chef coat we watched him churn out pizza after pizza for a very packed restaurant..then the owner came to his aid for a minute chatted with everyone , even let children play with fake dough...we were sold! This is not our first time eating here and there is a reason we keep going back. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. We thought it was busy but they were able to seat the two of us right away. There was a live piano player but thankfully he was not so loud as to overpower any conversations. We tried the special appetizer of the night which was a fried ossobuco rice ball that was amazing. My wife and I shared a tortellini carbonara and an Italian style pizza. Both did not disappoint and they were accommodating with our sharing the meals. The sauce was salt-less and lacked even garlic given it's an Italian restaurant. The pizza was watery and served on a god awful Pizza Hut personal pizza worthy dish. The dough was good but the sauce was flavorless, garlic less and saltless. The specialty meats that you would've expected given the mention of salami or soppressata would be authentic... nope. The caprese pizza was an unripe, crudely cut tomato mess with a very generic "balsamic" vinegar. I would hate for anyone to show up here thinking they're getting a nearly 5 star rated pizza. I would've rather have eaten at Blaze pizza. I'm sorry but the product is not worthy of the one star I gave it. read more

Had an amazing dinner here last night. I think our server's name was Ash, she was awesome! Everything was stellar- from my gin martini, to the special app of the day which was roasted brussels sprouts with pancetta, to the margarita pizza we shared, to my entree - the creamy pesto rigatoni with shrimp. Reasonable prices too. Everyone in our party loved their meals. We were able to make reservations earlier in the day and be seated right away upon arrival. When we asked her to bring something we asked for she cleaned 4 tables before we asked again When she later bought it her words were "you are lucky I found extra sauce We are closing in 45 mins but I went in the back to the pizza area and got you some " my thought was "we are lucky?" As we are finishing our meal at 8:35 a gentleman is coming around to the tables removing parmesan cheese. We are still eating - he didn't ask if we were going to use more just removed it! White Pizza- very good, but like a fancy version of papa John's cheese my breadsticks Pepperoni pizza- this was the best pizza we had. The crust is very fluffy, it's not a thin crust NY style pizza. This pizza is more Naples style, but the brick oven gives it a good crust and nice char. Cheese pizza- good and same fluffy crust. Deli Stromboli- it was ok, not our fave. We love this place. We stay in NMB for three months every summer and Rapone is a regular stop. The food is always fresh, the servers always attentive and helpful with suggestions, and live piano music = c'mon. The menu is not overwhelming but has enough options for everyone even your picky eater. My wife and daughter couldn't stop raving about the house salad dressing so give that a go. It's on my menu for the next visit. So we went back (two weeks later) for some pizza (always great) and house salads with the Chianti dressing very good. THE BEST service the minute we walked in. Had about a ten min wait for a party of 8, with 4 of those kids. We dined here twice. During our first visit, we enjoyed both the pizza and chicken piccata, finding them delicious, and our waiter was attentive. On the second visit, with a different part-time waiter, we were surprised when he discouraged the pizza, despite our specific interest in it, claiming other dishes were better.
