My first time here and I've heard good things about it. The atmosphere was a country vibe, you can sit anywhere you want and order at the counter. I got the pesto chicken and my girlfriend got Caesar wrap. Since we went on a Friday the waitress said that normally lunch comes with their kettle chips however, today can be upgraded to fries at no charge. She had the kettle chips and I had the fries. Both were excellent. My pesto chicken sandwich was decent. I will come back here again to try different items. I did not give it a five stars because the dining room was a tad bit hot. The fans were running, but I don't know if there was something wrong with the air-conditioning.

This homey cafe immediately gets 5 stars for friendliness, warmth and service. It's clear why this downtown jewel is highly rated for service alone. It reminds me of a quaint diner. You walk up to the counter and order, get a number and sit down. One of the ladies brought us two cups of cucumber infused water and we decided to try the crumb cake which was very tasty.... Had I not already had multiple cups of coffee I would have gone for another to go with the cake as a perfect pairing. I got a biscuit breakfast sandwich and my husband did the Southwest breakfast burrito. Both were very good but the little sliced apples stole the show for me. How come the apples I get at the grocery store don't taste this sweet and crisp?!? Anyway, it's obvious why folks like Raptor... good food and wonderful service!

What a fun breakfast! You have to order at the counter , then they bring your food to the table. Waitresses were all Sooo WONDERFUL! Food was delicious and plenty! And save room for the home made baked goods, we took them in the car to go and a great treat. Sweet potato fries were over cooked.

1/2 eaten Green Chili Chicken sandwich. So good I couldn't wait to dig in.

What a great place on the corner! From the moment you walk in you feel as if you are visiting your favorite aunt for a meal. I was immediately greeted even though the place was very busy but all in control. Connie that gal working seemed like the owner maybe, knew the customer in front of me, name & gave a cheerful hello. I asked for a menu favorite & she suggested the chicken green chili sandwich. Wow delicious! Kids were coming & going & she seemed to know about school & colleges they were applying too. Amazingly friendly place with a down home feel & the food was equally a great! Worth the stop.

OMG what a find in downtown Tucson. Very homey feeling restaurant, order at the counter and they bring you your food. Delicious, fresh food with the southwest burrito being a standout! The cinnamon roll was good but not the best we've had. I would recommend it be served warmed vs room temperature. It had nuts in it (not sure what kind for anyone with an allergy)- that was not listed. Great service for how busy they were. Would absolutely try anything on their menu. And don't skip the homemade cookies!

I used to live downtown and would walk by Raptor Canyon Cafe often thinking I should try this place, but they're only open during the week until 2 PM. I'm normally at work then. Today I was around downtown in the morning and so glad I finally went. The meal I got wasn't anything exotic, but I was simple dishes made well. The service is counter service and the staff is friendly. The menu was pretty extensive, but I went for a simple breakfast of home fries, biscuits & gravy, and a sausage patty. Everything was cooked to perfection. The sausage had a nice brown crust and was flavorful. The biscuits and gravy had great textures across the board from the perfectly toasted biscuits to the gravy that had smaller sausage pieces. The home fries were extra crispy and I didn't need to ask. As Guy Fieri would say, "GBD" or golden brown deliciousness on all the items. The space is small and can probably take less than 50 customers at one time. The restaurant is clean and basically a small mom & pop cafe.

The food is fresh and tasty. The combination of hash browns, avocado, chorizo and pico is on point. Coffee is okay, drinkable for my taste, but you get refills. Well priced, not cheap, but you get what you paid for.

While visiting the university for lab work I stayed at an Airbnb around the corner from this cafe. I went here for breakfast four mornings in a row and didn't regret it. Great service, relatively busy every day, and felt super homey. The breakfast burritos and breakfast quesadilla were super tasty and hit the spot, and the coffee refills were much welcomed.

The food was good. The best biscuit and gravy I've ever had...no. For $15 I got the items shown: BISCUIT and gravy with a loaf of banana bread. The banana bread was delicious but it was tiny for $3.75, the loaf gives the illusion that it's worth the price. I don't think it is. Especially when commercial loafs are around $5 and much bigger. It was delicious but the size was overwhelmingly disappointing that I wouldn't get it again. The BISCUIT and gravy had good flavor. Lots of sausage which places around town are definitely lacking. However, $10 for a singular biscuit NO SIDES in my opinion is egregious and quite frankly unfair. It's a fairly inexpensive dish to make. The biscuit had good flavor and was soft, but the amount of gravy was criminal. I could see my biscuit through the gravy, which for $10 shouldn't it be submerged? Maybe I was jiped because it was a takeout order. Since First Watch's biscuit and gravy is similarly ranked I tried it the next day. It's actually on par with this one. It's flavorful and the biscuit is soft. $5.89 for a la cart (one biscuit covered in gravy). For a meal it's $12 and comes with eggs, bacon and potatoes. Although it's made with turkey not pork you can't tell. Because I live closer to First Watch, I wouldn't make the drive down town for the meal I received from Raptor. The interior was rustic. I didn't stay just did a pick up. The cashier was friendly and helpful.

First things first, Konni is one of the sweetest people you'll ever get to meet, and she's always there to greet you when you walk in. You can tell that she loves what she does and that she genuinely wants everyone who walks through those red doors to have a wonderful experience there. The food? Incredible. And there's such a variety in what you can order to eat, so it's great for going out to lunch with a group! A majority of the food is made from scratch, and you can taste the difference. Nothing perks up your workday like some good home cooking, and they have it in droves. ALSO- PSA to the Disabled Community!!!! I can personally attest to the fact that they are super accessible for wheelchair users and service dog teams. And they will go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable and have all the accommodations you need. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is- between the food, the staff, and the atmosphere, it's definitely going to be my new favorite lunch hang out! read more

Unfortunately I ate so fast I forgot to take a photo. I had a sausage and cheese biscuit and coffee. Nothing fancy but it was excellent. The staff was very friendly and the service was quick. It's casual and has a very local feel in the downtown area. Next time I'm in Tucson I'll be back. read more

Met a friend downtown for breakfast and decided on Raptor Canyon Cafe based on the reviews. It did not disappoint! We were greeted by the friendly owner, who told us about various menu items and answered our questions. We both ordered breakfast tacos, my friend's with spinach and mine with avocado for the "meat." Of course, I ordered the much-lauded banana bread with butter. We sat on the lovely patio, and our food came quickly. The breakfast tacos are large and filled amply. We both loved the crunch supplied by the hash browns. The owner asked if she could bring our bread out right from the oven vs. toasted since it would crumble if she tried to slice it while that warm. Yes, please. The bread smelled delicious when it arrived. Those with nut allergies note: it contains walnuts. Since my friend has allergies and the tacos filled my belly, I opted to get a to go box for the bread. It made a delicious dessert a few hours later! Bottom line is that this is a friendly, family run business with tasty food. Give it a try when in the area! read more

Friendly little place with delicious food. Order from the sweet lady at the counter then find your seat. Lime cucumber water was a refreshing treat. The breakfast tacos with chorizo were bursting with flavor and had crunchy hash topping. I usually find biscuits and gravy too bland, but my husband's were quite flavorful. We considered this a great find. read more

What a fantastic find! I do t know where to start., Small family and friends run cafe in downtown Tucson. Home made everything right down to the local panadería bing in fresh baked bollos for sandwiches!! The three mornings we ate there I had the breakfast quesadilla, 2 egg omelette wit fresh cubed ham and cheese plus their home made biscuits, my husband had the omelette with home fries, breakfast tacos with chorizo and he had the breakfast wrap! When we get back in town we will definitely try the Biscuits and homemade gravy! Hasta entonces read more

This place puts service first. From the moment you walk in and order at the front, to the waitress staff, and the check in after the meal. Satisfaction is guaranteed here, or they will do whatever they can to make you feel that way. I really appreciate that these days, it feels good when people care. The food had the same level of care. Food was good! I had the southwest burrito. Chorizo, eggs, cheese, avocado, and hash browns. Cut in half and easy to eat. Fresh, hot, full of flavor. The avocado really made it top notch. They serve breakfast all day. There are sandwiches too and more items I need to go back and try. Go check it out! read more

This place is great for breakfast in downtown Tucson. It has tables but you order at the counter and take a seat. The freshly baked biscuits are worth considering for the egg sandwiches. The traditional breakfast burrito is freshly made and has a lot of meat/protein to get your day started off right. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The place is family friendly as well. Visiting Arizona for the week and the Raptor Canyon Cafe is definitely somewhere I will be revisiting if/when I come back. The food was amazing and the customer service was some of the best service I have ever had. My boyfriend's mom is in a wheelchair and they made sure to make her experience very comfortable which made the dining experience run so smoothly. Unfortunately we didn't catch the name of the lady that served us but regardless, the entire staff was very friendly and made sure to check on us frequently. My boyfriend and I got the breakfast tacos, which were AMAZING to say the least. Their homemade guacamole and salsa were so fresh and paired perfectly with the tacos. My boyfriend's mom ordered the BLT and even a simple sandwich exceeded our expectations with how fresh everything was. The ambiance of the cafe was also very beautiful and made the dining experience that much better. 10/10 absolutely recommend! read more

Raptor Canyon is a great spot. I came here looking for breakfast, and Raptor Canyon delivered. I had the one egg biscuit with cheddar and bacon. This isn't your average breakfast sandwich folks. The biscuit was light and fluffy. The bacon was perfectly crisp, and the cheese was gooey and melty. The sandwich was so good, I ordered a second one to go. The staff here is super friendly. The restaurant has a homey feel like you're eating breakfast at grandma's house. It's unfortunate they're not open on weekends or I'd be here 7 days a week. read more

Shrimp tacos are my favorite and I try to come once a week to get them! I'm typically a vegetarian but this dish is my favorite. They are also known for their cookies which are to die for! Every flavor is outstanding! This is a nice, quick lunch spot, easy to walk to from most downtown locations. read more

When you walk in this cafe, you're going to be greeted with sincere, friendly faces welcoming you in. It's a small to medium-sized place that serves light to medium sized breakfasts. I had the avacado toast with bacon, and it hit the spot perfectly. The only thing better than the food and coffee was the service. My only regret is that I didn't get the names of the friendly lady who greeted me, and the wonderful waitress who served me with a warm smile. It's within walking distance of the downtown Amtrak station, and is right in the middle of the downtown section that's good to take a stroll around. I'll bet a ton that you'll enjoy the experience there. My only warning: If you're looking for a "Trucker's Special" for breakfast (greasy, heavy loads of bloating matter to inhale), then you should go somewhere else. This place serves delicious, healthy, filling good food at very reasonable prices. Dig in! read more

Nice little place downtown. Order at the counter food delivered to the table. Velvet had the Southwest salad. She loved it. I had the lunch special. Cod sandwitch with fries and a soda. The fries were great. The sandwith not so much. I would not expect fresh cod here but this was frozen breaded fish. Really disappointing. The menu is interesting. I will be back to try somerhing else. The service is excellent and they have some freash bakery items. read more

I have a regular cafe on Pennington but I saw this sign out when I went to get coffee and made it a point to check it out on my lunch. I went to this café because of this sign. I intended on getting the basil pesto cheesesteak to go. As soon as I walked in The gentleman at the counter said unless I was buying soda or dessert they were closed. This would make the advertisement outside of the establishment false advertising. If the establishment is closed at 1:34 PM, it doesn't make sense to put a sign outside the building advertising a special until 2 PM. I am disappointed because they have a 4.9 star rating on google. read more

Stop looking and go hear. I travel for work and every time I am in Tucson I come here. Small family run business. The owner and his wife work in the restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is over the top friendly. The service makes me feel more like I am eating in their home than their restaurant. They are so happy you stopped by and want to make sure they are amazing hosts. The wife bakes the banana bread. I always get one toasted with butter and take one home to my wife. I usually get the Avocado Toast with bacon crumbles and an egg. But everything is great. I wish every town I visited had a restaurant like this. As a business owner myself I talk to my staff about this place, their attention to quality, and what amazing service looks like. read more

We love Raptor Canyon! The school my kids attended is nearby, so we've eaten breakfast before school and many lunches. Now that the kids graduated, we still try to stop downtown and stop in for a bite. We have never been disappointed. The owners are always super friendly and you can tell they put a lot of love into their business. Their homemade baked goods are beyond delicious and meal portions are always generous and tasty. read more

Raptor Canyon Cafe is a relaxing and cheerful place to spend your lunch hour in downtown Tucson. Today I had THE BEST green chili cheeseburger I have ever experienced. I was going to take a picture but I couldn't wait to eat it, it looked so delicious. Along with very fresh cole slaw, perfect tasting ice tea, and home made cookies. In the past, I have enjoyed their breakfast burritos, fajitas, and chicken sandwich. Everything tastes home made and wonderful. The owners are warm, personable and genuinely care about something many places are leaving behind: customer service. Please check out this little gem in downtown Tucson. Took my first bite of the buffalo chicken quesadilla and I was amazed and surprised at the same time. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. A1 service. The cooks definitely care about the food. Love this place! I was super excited that everything is super fresh and made locally without preservatives- even the bread and baked goods! The owner is just a super friendly and hospitable guy as well. It felt like we were guests in someone's home! The breakfast burritos are awesome. Highly recommend the veggie one. My husband had the chorizo one which was a little too much chorizo for his liking, but if that's your thing, then get it! The toast and home fries were a great addition. Also make sure you get some cookies for the road. read more

Amazing place. We had philly cheese steak and sonaran chicken but everyone in the place seemed to be enjoying their meal. The peanut butter cookies we also excellent. While there our server told us the biscuits and gravy is amazing so we went back this morn to try. Unfortunately this place is closed on saturdays (even though google search showed it as open). (Owners-if you read this you probably should google your business, claim it and then update your business hours) read more

What a friendly and cute little place! Stopped here for breakfast this morning, one of the few places open downtown at 6:00am. Small but nice breakfast menu: egg sandwiches, breakfast burritos, but I tried the avocado toast with an egg (see photo below). My food arrived in less than 5 minutes. Tasted just like I made it at home, though the avocado was sliced nicer than I could. It comes on a nice multigrain bread toast, and the avocado was fresh. The service is super friendly. Came by to ask if I needed a coffee refill, offered free cucumber ice water to drink. Nice. I'll be back. Their lunch menu looks very sandwich focused, it they have salads, tacos, etc. Nice alternative to all the chains downtown. Patronize small businesses so we have more of them. read more

My brother and I wandered into this well rated, local, family owned breakfast spot and were enthusiastically greeted by Konni the owner. The food was great while the warm hospitality from her and the team was even better. As a fellow small business owner, it's comforting to know there are still operators out there that care as much as they do about their guests' experience. And their story is really awesome! We look forward to returning when back in Tucson and wish there were more staples like this to support. Highly recommend! read more

Stopped in for a weekday breakfast and boy are we glad that we did! Everything is homemade and the owners definitely take pride in preparing fresh food to order. You go up to the counter when you arrive and they will explain the menu to you and then you order and find a table to wait for your food. Service was good and the food was amazing!!! read more

The hotel didn't have breakfast service so I asked the front desk. Receptionist said only place open before 8:00is the Raptor Canyon Cafe, it's a5-6 minute walk. Got there in 6 and walked at 7:01. Owners said hello thank you for coming. I ordered theTraditional breakfast burrito, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs. This place is a little local gem, we had breakfast there today. I had ham, egg and cheese on a house made biscuit, it was perfect. Also had the banana bread and they grilled it with a side of butter, very good. It's family owned and operated by very nice people. We were just traveling back to Phoenix and thought we would try to find a local breakfast place, wow did we luck out. Highly recommend!! read more

They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. Really solid fries, too. We didn't end up getting any drinks but saw several people ordering yummy looking bites. If (but likely when) we come back to Tucson, I'm making a point to return to Cup Cafe!

I LOVE this place. Service is such a step above anything one expects these days and the food is really, really good! I'm addicted to the cucumber water and the oatmeal scotchies! I'm seriously trying to limit myself to one day a week, but it's hard. Comfortable environment and I can't wait until it gets a tad warmer to sit outside. I highly recommend enjoying yourself here. What a wonderful place for lunch! The food was excellent, the prices are right and the people are super friendly. I had the BLT and it's exactly what I wanted - bacon, lettuce and tomato on toast. Nothing fancy and perfect. They even got the bacon crispy like I asked. I can't tell you how many people miss the mark on that request. I'm from the mid-west and it was just like being back on the farm. They have a good variety on their menu and all at very reasonable prices. Was headed to a different place but there was something that's called me this this beautiful amazing family owned business. My pilot found it fascinating food as well. The outdoor dining was great until the sidewalk cleaner started using the blower (yuck) dust everywhere so I went inside. The best was yet to come.
