Raptor Canyon gets an "OK" in my book. They don't do anything terribly wrong, but I've also never been blown away by anything I've gotten here. Working downtown, I come here ever so often with coworkers. On the plus side, they have a decent amount of variety on their menu. It's a great place to go that will give everyone in your lunch party different options. They are very warm and friendly here and have fairly large portions. They also have good baked goods options. Unfortunately, their lunch food is just "okay." I had their tacos once and felt like they could have sourced better tortillas. We are in Tucson, after all. Their spaghetti is not bad, and I often get it when I come here, but sometimes it is a bit too sour for my taste. read more

This place is a little local gem, we had breakfast there today. I had ham, egg and cheese on a house made biscuit, it was perfect. Had a great breakfast at this place in town. The owner Dennis was friendly and explained much of the menu to us. Had the guacamole toast and my husband had the biscuit sandwich. We even tried the homemade banana bread that they grill and serve with butter, peanut butter or Nutella. It was all delicious. We will get back there soon. read more

What a great find. Had an excellent lunch, modestly priced with very friendly and courteous service.

First of all, parking can be an issue as we found out. On a weekday, street parking was at a premium so we bit the bullet and paid $5 to park in a lot. But it was worth it. My wife ordered the Basil Pesto Chicken, grilled chicken with mozz, pesto and spinach on a local bakery bun and homemade chips. I had the Chipotle Green Chile Chicken Sandwich with fries. Both were excellent. Both had ample meat, lots of toppings and the sides were both great, too. The man manning the register was super friendly as was the lady delivering the food. While it's not much to look at, it's an excellent place for delicious food. read more

We discovered Raptor Cafe on our way through Tuscon on our drive to Texas. We arrived just as they opened and were welcomed by the owner Dennis with a huge smile. He gave us a quick education on the menu board and asked if we had any questions. From the moment we walked in the vibe was super positive. This is a family business so if you want to support a local family owned operation with good food, good service and positive environment- this is it!. A good variety menu and plenty of seating inside. Once we arrived and sat down it was a non stop flow of people coming and going. Im glad we got there early for breakfast because it got busy. We were served our breakfast by Dennis wife, again super friendly and asked if there was anything else we needed. Our breakfast was like home cooking which included a fresh baked biscuit, mouth watering!! She provided us with bottles of local hot sauce that I added to my Omlete and wished I had bought a bottle or two to take home with me. All in all I would highly recommend stopping by this cute little restaurant and enjoy some home cooking while downtown in Tuscon. read more

I saw this place as I was parking downtown for a meeting, and decided to come with my daughter for lunch. We're glad we found this little place that recently opened! The service was extremely friendly, they were happy to tell us all about the menu and answer our many questions. My daughter ended up getting the veggie burrito, which looked pretty fantastic, and I got the eggplant sandwich, which was also pretty fantastic! The owner talked up the fries to go with my sandwich for a dollar more, and he was right, they were so crispy and well-flavored! The sandwich had lots of marinara, and crispy eggplant. We loved the local art on the walls, the décor and menu just fits with the downtown environment. It's great for the downtown working crowd in search of a great breakfast or lunch option! read more

Wish I had known about this place a long time ago. They are some of the most friendly and catering staff/owners I have seen in a family owned business. All food is made fresh daily and you can tell. I had biscuits n gravy. Both home made and both delicious. I also had a side of eggs over medium which were seasoned with a chef spice that put them way above a regular order of eggs from anywhere else. Wife had the breakfast tacos with ham. Amazing cafe we discovered while visiting Tucson on Spring Break. A husband and wife team have a wonderful mix of friendly hospitality and fantastic food! They gave our kids a coloring book and Matchbox car when we sat down AND some fresh baked delicious chocolate chip cookies for the road! Their egg, biscuit breakfast sandwiches are out of this world and so is the banana bread (with Nutella yum!) We came in here on a recommendation from a friend. It's a family owned, friendly establishment that kind of reminds me of having breakfast in my grandmothers kitchen (crocheted tablecloth and all). Don't let the unassuming menu written up on the white board fool you, Raptor Canyon has some seriously gourmet eats. We each ordered the original breakfast sandwich that comes on a homemade biscuit. The biscuit was soft with that flaky, ever-so-lightly crumbly texture. The egg was cooked perfectly and the thick cut bacon was plentiful. We also got the banana bread with Nutella, their freshly baked mini banana loaves were sliced up and toasted and slathered in the good stuff. And the best part is the price, just over $7 for two items! There were so many baked goods in a case including cookies, granola, and puppy chow that I would definitely come back to sample. read more

I came here on a Monday afternoon with my boyfriend and his mom. Right from the start, Dennis welcomed us so kindly, and let us know about the menu! We ordered and sat down in their cute little dining area. He was so efficient and brought us utensils, sauces and cucumber water right away, all while serving other guests and taking orders. His two sons cooked us super delicious food while his lovely wife baked such sweet and heart warming cookies. Coming from a a city where you don't see many family owned restaurants, this placed truly touched my heart. Hard working individuals feeding the people of Tucson. Our nice neighbors invited us to "dine," in their backyard. The four of us were all 6-9 ft apart, brought our own drinks, etc. They ordered the steak and pasta on the "special" Covid 19 menu for take-out. Very clean inside and tastefully decorated with local art and plants (the owner told us the back story on the cactus that was on our table, which is way cool in my opinion). Food was out to the table very quickly and had outstanding taste, rich with flavor and the perfect temperature. Pricing was wonderful too, less than $23 for two breakfast burritos, OJ, and coffee!
