Rasoi II Restaurant is a part of a small chain, this Indian restaurant has a lunch buffet and a menu with a Chinese section. Really fantastic location and right on the heart of oak tree road. They offer drinks and cocktails as well. Large vegetarian selection available. Plenty of free car parking in front of the restaurant. I would highly recommend Rasoi for their wonderful food and ambiance atmosphere. Customer service is great too. A highlight was that most of the staff members were multilingual, making communication easy and efficient. Please take the time and give them a try. You will not be disappointed. Tried Chilli Chicken, fried boneless chicken with bell pepper, onion and chilli with light vegetables which was awesome to taste and went well with our Haywards 5000 beer. Tried the chicken curry with naan bread which is made of chicken breast marinated in yogurt and spices, then broiled in the tandoori and cooked with tomatoes, onion and butter sauce, served with hard cooked eggs. Also tried their chicken biryani made of long grained basmati rice, cooked with succulent pieces of chicken and blended with exotic Indian herbs and served with raita. The food portions are pretty good as well. Every thing tasted yummy.

This place is such a staple of good Indian cuisine in the Indianest town ever. Unfortunately, we didn't realize the buffet is for lunch only (definately will check that out next time I go). The dinner was a la carte (still amazing food). The service was super quick (the waiter is definitely watching like a hawk). Papad was brought for the table which was nice. We ordered the Paneer Pakoras as our appetizer. The Paneer Pakoras were delicious. There was chutney in the middle of the paneer pieces and it was fried very well. For our main course we got the Rasoi Platters. Our non Indian selves also got a naan assortment. Basically it made no sense to have a naan assortment when the rasoi platter was basically dry pieces of meat. The naan I ended up saving to use with curry I made at home. The naan assortment was pretty cool and awesome to get if you have a chance. I didn't realize there were so many things naan could be stuffed with. The naan types included paneer naan, chilli naan, keema (lamb) naan, and Kashmiri naan. I really found the Kashmiri naan interesting. I have never had sweet naan before (it does have fennel seeds and tastes like the mints you eat when you leave an Indian restaurant). The Rasoi Platter was a lot of food. It's basically a selection of dry meats/seafood on a platter (Tandoori Khazana). We had 2 types of meat and 2 fish that were marinated and processed in a clay pot. I was very disappointed in the amount of seafood vs chicken. There was only one tandoori shrimp so I was unable to even try it out.

Was highly recommended to eat the buffet at this location. The restaurant had few customers when we walked in around 11:20 am but that changed rapidly. So many started crowding into the restaurant within an hour. There were several tables that could sufficiently handle a large crowd. We were able to easily fill our plates 3-4 times before the crowd started effecting our pace. Their chicken and paneer stood out above the rest. The rest of their selection was delicious but not stellar. The waiters were quick to clear our empty plates and deliver us water and mango lassi. Overall cost was soo cheap for the meal we ate.

The place has good ambiance. The service is good. However when it comes to food and believes me it tastes delicious, great presentations, however, I suspect there is some contamination in the kitchen. Every time I try their daal tadka I get allergic reaction the one I used to get from shrimp. So probably oil or something coz it has now happened twice.

I went there for lunch today and was highly satisfied. The food was fresh and extremely flavorful. The staff was very friendly and professional. I even appreciated their fully stocked bar which had a very nice variety to choose from. I'd definitely return and suggest this to others.

The buffet is good over the weekends. They have a big spread of veg and non veg dishes. The staff is friendly and co-operative . It gets but filled up around 1 pm . If more people sit good to reserve and go.

That's the same reason I didn't click a lot of pics like I would usually do. The vegetable biryani, SPDP chaat and puris with aloo subzi came in no time from the time we ordered. As much as the food was tasty I found them bit salty and the subzi little oily - this coming from a salt lover who tends to add salt to anything he eats, you can trust me. Overall a good restaurant serving quality food and with ample parking space (weekend parking story could be little different).

Unfortunately, our experience ended on a disappointing note. We finished our meal, paid our bill (which included the mandatory 20% gratuity), and were simply enjoying each other's company. At 1:46 p.m., after being there for just 1 hour and 41 minutes, the host came to our table and asked us to leave. We were almost only 4 tables who were not Indians. What made this particularly surprising was that there were approximately six empty tables in our dining room and many more available in the adjacent room. The restaurant was clearly not waiting for our table. Had there been a posted time limit for buffet seating, we would have completely understood and respected it. However, no such policy was communicated or displayed. In addition 2 hours for 4 people are normal time. This interaction left a sour impression after what had otherwise been an outstanding lunch. Restaurants are certainly entitled to set dining time limits, but those policies should be clearly posted and applied consistently. We will likely return because the food and service from the kitchen and waitstaff are excellent. We only hope management handles situations like this with more professionalism and courtesy in the future, as it would make the overall dining experience as exceptional as the food. We will simply push back next time, and send the person away.

When entering from Grove Ave, it's easy to be a little bit confused because the restaurant is stuck in the corner behind what used to be Stop n Shop and such. The shopping center is certainly very empty without the anchor grocery store, so it's often quite easy to miss this. Knowing that the restaurant opens dinner service around 6, we got here just before then and realized that the staff was already accepting people beforehand. That was great. As my girl is from Goa, this was a place that was on her mind for some time to try. Likewise, I wanted to try some authentic Maharastrian food too. To start, we ordered a mango lassi & a Kaira Panha. I stuck with the former, which was great. My girl enjoyed her drink too, though def not my first preference. For an appetizer, we ordered the Kothimbir Wadi. This was quite tasty and well enjoyed with the chutney. Certainly authentic. For the main meal, my girl enjoyed her fish fry. I got the Veg. Kohlapuri along with Garlic Naan. The Kohlapuri was good and was easily able to finish it. The only small gripe we had was that the tomato-based curry kinda reminded me of a North Indian korma that you'd get from other establishments. My girl noted this and do wonder whether this is truly the proper way of making and enjoying a Vegetarian Kohlapuri. She noted it was meant to not have a tomato base and was supposed to be a bit more flavorful. As this was my first time, I'm not sure if I can fully validate this, but it's worth a question. Nonetheless, I can't complain about the food. Just simply a curiosity on my end.

When the community migrated to Nagpur in 1877, their food followed -- spreading through the tradesfolk and mill workers who embraced its bold flavors. Today, Saoji is considered the signature cuisine of Nagpur: intensely spiced, unapologetically hot, and built around powerful, roasted masalas. Tonight we ate at Nagpuri Saoji in Voorhees (they also have a location in Iselin), and these two spots are reportedly the only places in the U.S. where you can experience this cuisine in its full, blazing glory. To Start We began with sabudana vada -- the classic Maharashtrian fritter made from tapioca pearls, mashed potatoes, peanuts, and spices. Served piping hot and impossibly crisp outside with a tender interior, they came with two chutneys and were absolutely sublime. Alongside that was goat sukka, a dry-style mutton preparation associated with the Mangalore and Udupi regions, with spice influences tracing back to Goa and even Arab and Turkish traders. Coriander, fennel, cumin, black peppercorns, and fenugreek give it depth and warmth. It was bold, savory, and incredibly flavorful. The Curries I ordered chicken kala masala curry, and it was deeply earthy, nutty, and robustly savory. "Kala" means "black" in Marathi -- referring both to the color and to the roasted spice blend itself. Cumin, coriander, cloves, cinnamon, stone flower, coconut, sesame seeds, and chillies are roasted and ground into a dark, complex masala that lingers beautifully on the palate. We also ordered Goat Handi, with tender meat in a velvety, aromatic gravy, and a Malwani goat curry, made with Malvani masala from the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra -- a spice blend that balances heat with coastal warmth and depth. Rice, plain naan, and indulgent Amul cheese naan rounded out the meal. Dessert We finished with Sitafal Rasmalai (custard apple-infused rasmalai) and Jamun Rabdi -- both creamy, fragrant, and perfect against the lingering spice. A Few Notes Like much traditional Asian cooking, the meat dishes are cooked on the bone -- so eat mindfully. And if you request "hot," they mean hot. This is not toned-down spice; this is the real deal. I was thrilled to try dishes from India that I've never made before. Saoji cuisine is bold, unapologetic, and absolutely delicious -- and I'll definitely be adding some of these flavors to my home repertoire. If you have the opportunity to try this cuisine -- do it.

The tarri tasted weird so it ruined the entire dish. Same tarri was present in the misaal too, so this dish was ruined too. Sol kadhi was average. The service was fast and the ambience is okay-ish. Honestly, would not recommend this place for their vegetarian options!

The hot sauce was decent, but not nearly as spicy as I'd expect from an Indian spot. Service, unfortunately, was the weakest part of the experience. I was dining with one other person and there was only one other table of three, yet things moved pretty slowly. There were a few employees around, but the service just wasn't very attentive, and communication was a bit tough at times. They also offer Chinese dishes, which is interesting and something I'd consider trying next time. Overall, the food is definitely worth it, but the service could use some improvement.
