The Veggie Thali was loaded with 7 little dishes - Paneer Tikka, Saag, Dhal, yogurt, Cauliflower Gobi, Picked Veggie, and Rice Pudding as well as a crispy Paaper and Naan. The red Paneer Tikka as well as the spinach and corn Saag hit the spot! They paired so well with the fluffy and scrumptious Garlic Naan! The fluffy, pillowy-soft Garlic Naan was scrumptious! The Happy Hour (Mon - Fri 2:30 - 6:30pm) is a great deal with $8 apps (entree size!) and $6 cocktails. The Gobi Manchurian has a spicy kick. If you like spicy, go for it! The Karari Palak Chaat has a crunchy base with chickpea batter with crispy palak spinach and topped with sweet and tangy chutneys and yogurt. My daughter enjoyed the Vegetable Momo with a dozen bite-size dumplings. The apps were a generous size and could easily serve as a entree. The Lychee Martini was boozy and packed a punch and glad I got some extra lychee juice to dilute it. The Malai Kofta was creamy and flavorful. The Kofta were a bit stiff. The Palak Paneer was a bit tangy with soft, chunky pieces of paneer. Dhal Paneer Makhani was very tasty. The Mango Lassi was sweet. The food was pretty mild and not spicy. The service is great, shout-out to the waiter Navaan and the owner, Shankar. They are both very nice to my daughter and me. I was craving Indian food and wanted to try a new restaurant, so my friend and I stopped by Rasoi this past weekend. They had a separate lunch special menu with a vegetarian and non-vegetarian thali option which caught my eye. I ordered the non-vegetarian thali but there was a mix up, so I was served the vegetarian one. I didn't mind since Indian cuisine does vegetarian options well! VEGETARIAN THALI - 18 I like thalis because I can sample a bunch of different curries. Each order also came with a bowl of basmati rice, a side of naan, and a piece of papadum. From left to right (see attached picture), I got to try the following dishes: + paneer makhani - strong tomato flavor in the curry that went well with the paneer, gently sweet + palak paneer - a bit too salty, but it was creamy and tasted like spinach, no paneer in sight + malai kofta - reminded me of a korma since it was very nutty, contained some veggies and potato chunks + channa masala - chunky and gritty from the chickpeas, very flavorful + kesari kheer - not too sweet, the rice texture was soft but each grain was distinguishable, it was creamy and nutty + cucumber raita - probably should have eaten it with everything together, but decided not to + achar - not the biggest fan of the pickled veggies The pricing was pretty fair and I had enough leftovers for a small meal. My friend got the SALMON TIKKA MASALA which he thought was good, but too heavy and dense. Overall, the food was fine, but nothing stellar. Glad we got to try it though. read more

This place is near the metro, so parking can be a bit challenging. It is close to the highway though, which is why I stopped in. I received some high quality and interesting food. My dal had some nice herbal notes, albeit with a clump of dried lentils that didn't quite cook. A samosa chaat was satisfying. Their veg momos did seem to have some paneer in there which might be an issue for some. I took the option to get a lychee juice, which is not a common offering but is quite sweet. Solid Indian food but not the best! I liked the butter chicken but it didn't blow me away. Good flavor though. The saag paneer was just okay, not bad but not great. The chicken momo were really good! When looking for somewhere to door dash dinner from a few weeks ago, the Wife and I were excited to try new (to us) Indian restaurant after ordering almost exclusively from another restaurant based on reviews online. Unfortunately, each dish we tried was worse than the one before. Samosa was ok, although spicier than necessary. The Papdi Chaat was a mushy mess. The Butter Chicken, was ok, although it was missing any distinctive spicy or creamy flavor. It was the only truly edible dish we could both eat without feeling sick after. The basmati Rice was good at least and the Garlic Naan was quite tasty that day although never reheated very well which was disappointing. And the Vegetable Korma, wow, that was by far the worst. It smelled and tasted more like veggie Alfredo than korma, and I don't mean that in a good way. I've had Korma at many Indian restaurants in the past and never, ever, ever had one this bad that caused both my wife and I to refuse to have any more after our first tries. All in all, as bad as the food was, I must say that I am most annoyed and disappointed not with the restaurant l, but rather with all of the positive and glowing reviews that the community previously had given this place. Had anyone who wrote an earlier review tasted Indian food before, or did we somehow figure out some wild algorithm of different dishes that were different than what anyone else had ever ordered from this restaurant??? I just can't figure out the answer to that one...and last piece of advice, do yourself a favor and if you've found a restaurant that you previously have loved and were happy with, don't rock the boat and stupidly try something else, because take it from me in this case, you WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. read more

I don't generally write five star reviews unless I've been to a place twice. I'm happy to give this place five stars. The person/bot that gave it one star because it wasn't "Indian food" would be in disagreement with my Indian spouse. We don't generally day drink, but the place has a full bar. The Thali was excellent. I wasn't in a mood for butter chicken so I asked if I could have two servings of the lamb curry. They said yes, or offered if I wanted to sub out chicken curry. I said yes, and was happy I did. On my first visit, one of my friends ordered the non-veg thali without the swap. He said the butter chicken was good, but the lamb was better. It may not be for everyone. It's not Saffron/Bansari level of sit down, and the menu is simpler. And, it's not bowl food like the place that it replaced. At the same time, for what it is, it does a very good to excellent job, which is why it's getting five stars, and it is getting published on the restaurant list we personally curate. read more

Food was ok. 1pm lunch on a weekday and only other table seated. A few take out orders. Indian cricket match blaring from behind the bar - not great. Waiter didn't write down the order and I had a hunch that would be a problem. Sure enough, forgot one drink order and one side dish. Didn't come back to the table until we were almost done eating and I reminded about the drink and side dish. Turns out, the drink was sitting on the bar for awhile and then we told him we don't want the other dish, he said the kitchen was just preparing it but he told them not to anymore. This place use to be the old spice 6 modern Indian restaurant. It's now a new more modern Indian restaurant, the ac was a bit too powerful for my kids and they felt too cold inside. We ordered the chicken tikka, 2 garlic naans and a lamb biriyani to share. I have to say the food was just ok, it's more catered for westernized palates than Indians, with too much cream in the curry, food is a bit bland and tasteless. Naan was the best part of our meal. I hope these are just teething issues, as it's just opened and fairly new. read more
