Stopped by for dinner with friends. The server was nice and helpful. The food was good, but I ordered the cauliflower and it was drenched in sauce, so I didn't enjoy that. Otherwise, good food and nice atmosphere.

Another delicious lunch at Rasoi. The mushroom and spinach soup is in a light broth and has a nice level of spicy heat. Greens in the spinach apple salad are fresh and a dusting of spice over the top is a very nice addition. As always, I have to get their tasty cauliflower65 appetizer! So good. Deep fried veg covered in a spicy red sauce with just enough heat and plenty of Indian spice tastiness. The waitstaff is friendly, they keep a good eye on us and our water glasses were always full. Wait to be seated by the host. A window wall at the front lets in plenty of sunlight. A large square bar is located in the center of the dining area. Restrooms at the back are clean and modern. Located in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking in the shared lot with a few handicap spots right in front.

Rasoi Indian Restaurant - Pawtucket, RI Absolutely love this place! I've been here a few times and everything I've tried has been outstanding. The naan is perfectly soft and buttery, the tikka masala has just the right amount of spice, and the chicken biryani packs the perfect kick. My personal favorite is the roasted chicken -- full of flavor and cooked to perfection. What really makes Rasoi special is the staff. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, they make you feel like family every time you walk in. Amazing food, great service, and a warm atmosphere -- easily one of the best restaurants in Rhode Island!

What an amazing meal and experience! This was my first time at Rasoi, and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and attentive. Service was spot on from start to finish. We kicked things off with cocktails. I went for the Hibis-KiSS Summer Spritz, which was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the potato and pea samosas, Cauliflower 65, and chicken tikki. All came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Honestly, I could come back just for those and happily demolish them all by myself. For my main entree, I took our waiter's advice and ordered the Chicken 65 Biryani. It did not disappoint! The flavor was rich without being overly spicy, and the rice was cooked perfectly. The sauce on the side added a cool, refreshing note that made each bite even more satisfying. The portion was generous. I'm already excited for my leftovers. Our party was so impressed with the food how flavorful each dish was . They not only had vegetarian options but plenty of vegan options as well . The samosas were the star of the show and I'm excited to try the other flavors available. We also commented on how no one's water glass went empty . Again showing just how attentive the staff was . We ended with a molten chocolate cake to share. I ordered the CHAITINI for a dessert cocktail . It was even better than I imagined! Between the lively atmosphere, friendly service, and incredible food, it was the perfect night out with friends. I'll definitely be back.

Rice, Marsala and garlic naan was excellent. Order take out. Order was prepared to perfection and ready within 10-15 minutes. Prepared to perfection

This is such a hidden gem! The food was absolutely scrumptious and well presented!! Loved everything, from appetizer to main course to mango lasi all great. I also love how this place was cozy but not too crowded. The service was so warm and friendly made me feel very welcomed especially it was my first time there. My Indian colleague recommended this place and I have to say this is the best Indian restaurant in town. 100% recommended!!

We grabbed take out for lunch and everything was packaged neatly and carefully. Our main dishes were flavorful and paired well with the naan assortment we ordered. Service was friendly. Zero complaints about our food and experience.

Shahi Panner with white rice and garlic naan

I spent $20 on this food. They gave me more rice than Panner. The panner had more peppers and onions than actual cheese in my food. It was good food but definitely would have to get something else.

I highly recommend coming to this restaurant for their vast and unique assortment of naans!!! The pesto naan tasted much better than it looked, and was a welcomed addition to the meal!! The garlic naan is always a favorite, and the rosemary was delicious as well! I did not have a chance to try one, but maybe members of my group tried the Indian imported beers and said those were very tasty as well!! Will return to try them next time!

I just had surgery on my face and was on a liquid diet for a full week and Rasoi was my first real meal since then!!! it was a phenomenal choice I tried to only order foods that would work with my messed up mouth - the tofu saag was perfect for this, wondrously flavorful and tender mmmmmmmmmmm our server even put my Diet Coke in a squirt bottle for me (way easier to drink out of in my current condition)

What a great spot! Went for my first time and was highly impressed. The setup inside is well done, open kitchen, and with an awesome island style bar in the middle. The food was just as excellent, if not better. Everything was very fresh, flavorful and right on the money with my Indian-craving. The service was very friendly and informative as well. Will be back.

There was a larger party that came for the last part of our meal who were on the louder side and let their children run around the restaurant. While not Kinnera's fault it did lead to a lease than pleasant meal. For dinner we had the mango lassi, onion pakora, chicken korma, and paneer masala. I always appreciate when restaurants bring out papadums and chutneys as well which Kinnera did. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the pakora. I didn't get a lot of onion flavor in them and found the dish to be very dry. A sauce would have been a welcome addition. My chicken in the korma was cooked very well as it was nice and tender. For $16 the portions were huge and the meal comes with plenty of rice. I wasn't as impressed with my korma sauce though as I'm used to a creamier base. My significant other said there wasn't a lot of paneer in his masala either. Our service was standard but pleasant. The waiters didn't come over as we were eating and took a while to ask if we wanted the bill. However, they were prompt once we said we were ready for the check. I love Indian food and have had it around the world but I am glad this place is up and running. One day I'd like to try the lunch buffet.

The prices are reasonable, so are the portions and the flavors always kick in the best ways! If you're looking for a no-frills, cozy and delicious place to try, I say don't skip out on Not Just Snacks. Our favorite appetizers are hands down the pani puri, honey and ginger naan, tandoori and beef kebab. The pani puri is an interactive experience, where you hollow out the shells and fill them up with ground chickpeas and spicy sauce - very flavorful and fun! The honey and ginger naan is great to cut down on spicy dishes but eating it alone is dangerous - it's too dang good! I loved the tandoori chicken, a super flavorful thigh w/crispy skin. The beef kebab was just as tasty, packed with all kinds of spices that make it a winner in my book. Now, that was just the apps! Quite consistently, I always always always order the lamb (or beef) vindaloo. I have to warn you that this dish is certainly not for the weak - spice lovers only! The tender chunks of meat pair quite well in the pool of spice, potatoes and my favorite, chilis. There is an option to pair the vindaloo with rice or naan, with my heart devoted to the former. To put in perspective how spicy the lamb vindaloo is, you'll likely need refills upon refills of water. Nonetheless, if you can REALLY handle heat, the vindaloo is made for you. I alter between lamb and beef, depending on the mood. This time around I tried the shrimp dopiaza and wheat roti. The shrimp entree was quite sweet, with 5 shrimps total. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of anything wheat, hence the roti ranked lower on my scale. Overall, Not Just Snacks holds a special place in my heart (and stomach). The family that serves us is always friendly, especially the younger gentleman. The chef often comes out to check up on us and I believe that's a very kind gesture. The woman as well always greets us with a smile.

The bar itself is dramatic, a wall of bottles backed by bold red shelves. It all adds up to a room that feels like someone put real thought into every corner. We ordered the Ginger Turmeric Martini, which is made with Citron Vodka on the menu but we swapped in ISCO Gin; a substitution the bartender handled without hesitation. He mentioned he adds a tiny pinch of salt to some cocktails to brighten them up, a small detail, but the kind that tells you they actually think about what they're making. The drinks were served in cut crystal coupe glasses with a small edible flower floating on top, and they tasted as good as they looked. For food, we went with the Chili Cauliflower and the Dal Makhani. The cauliflower came out crispy in all the right ways, each floret holding its texture under a sticky, lightly sweet heat with a bit of tamarind that shines right through; tangy, a little smoky, deeply savory. The Dal Makhani was exceptional. The lentils were cooked with real intention, not reduced to mush but offering just a slight pop, and the overall flavor was rich and complex in a way that made it hard to put the naan down. Speaking of which, the garlic naan (sans cilantro, seeing as my partner has the gene where it tastes like soap) arrives charred and pillowy in equal measure, loaded with bits of fresh garlic. The service matched everything else. We were greeted warmly, and the staff genuinely seemed interested in getting to know us rather than just moving us through. That kind of rapport is rare and, when you find it, you notice. A spot we love to visit whenever we are in the area, and for good reason.

They don't have a parking lot, but they are located on Thayer St so lots of street parking to choose from. Since we went after 6 pm, street parking was free. The inside looks just like how I remembered it. We were seated on their first floor (they do have a second) towards the back so it felt very private. We could catch a glimpse of outside from the windows but most of it was obstructed by a wallpaper which was a shame. I was craving something sweet but hearty so I ordered us some cauliflower 65 as an appetizer. For drinks we just stuck to the water they gave us. The cauliflower 65 was good. It was sweet and a tiny bit spicy. The cauliflower was very soft. But I do wish the cauliflower would have kept more of its crunch from the batter. I couldn't decide on what I wanted as an entree so their special was perfect. I forgot the name of it but it's essentially a plate with rice, 4 different main dishes in small portions, a sauce, and naan bread. What I didn't like was that since the sides came in such small portions, the food cooled down very fast so I felt like I was racing against time. Also, I would have gladly paid an extra $1 to be able to select a topping for my naan. Without anything on it, it tastes too plain and kind of a waste of calories. The tandoori chicken was a bit dry but flavorful. Besides these, everything else was good. The flavors were good, the portion size was good, and customer service was also good.

I haven't been here in a bit. I was meeting my son for his 20th birthday. We use to come here…read moreall the time when he was younger so we were both excited to come here for dinner! On to the review! party of 6 and we must have been lucky because there was a table ready and didn't even have to wait( place was busy). We were waited on right away and got our drink orders in and with in minutes we had them and we all know what we wanted already so we put our orders in and the server asked if we wanted our food together or just bring it out as it gets done. We all agreed as it gets done and before you know it fresh pipping hot food starts arriving to our table. While waiting for the food and talking with the family I was able to get a good vibe check of the ambiance of this place and I must say I good really great vibe and felt like was just a bunch of happy people eating and having greats convos with one another. :-) On to the food! Nachos - Super awesome and crunchy and fresh. not soggy at all and a huge portion for 15 bucks! Margherita pizza - Super fresh piping hot pizza with fresh tomatoes and Basil! Sriracha Buffalo Cauliflower - This is where things started to turn inconsistent. let's see we had three orders of these and pretty much all three orders looked different, tasted different and some of the bigger pieces were not cooked through. All three of us did share each others to compare tastes. Reggie's Raw Heaven Salad - I did not eat the salad but I looked at it and asked the couple how they liked it and they said it was awesome! Note to self to try next time! Sweet Potato Wedges - Hot and fresh but again with the inconsistency, some were over cooked almost burnt and some were a little under cooked but for the most part they were nice and crunchy on the outside and nice and pillowy soft on the inside. Overall - I do love this place, I can't wait to come back and see if the food can be a little more consistent.. This place has really great vibe to it and I do recommend it for a good vegan food spot!

I always like trying new Indian restaurants and when I saw the nearly perfect reviews for Empire I…read moreknew I had to stop by. The parking situation is tight. Maybe there's another lot I didn't see in the back? But the restaurant itself is beautiful. Lots of wooden features that don't necessarily give off "Indian restaurant" but was still nice to look at all the same. There's a decent amount of seating and a large bar where they also keep games. I really liked the music they were playing as well. I constantly found myself dancing along to it. For food I had the chili baby corn for an appetizer, chicken saag, and cheese naan. Also had a Limca to drink which are always wonderful. The baby corn was amazing! The portion was generous and I loved the chili sauce. It was appropriately dressed and fried to perfection. Chicken saag was also excellent. I prefer mine a little creamier but I loved the fresh taste and generous pieces of chicken. The saag itself was properly spiced and came with a generous portion of basmati rice. Finally, the cheese naan was appropriately priced and crispy with a generous portion of cheese. Was it some of the best Indian food I've ever had? Absolutely! It was right up there and I hope to stop by their lunch buffer sometime soon. I will say that the service was a little slow and the waiters didn't check in as much as I'm used to. But that didn't hinder the exceptional quality of the restaurant.

We got a new Indian restaurant in town! Decided to give it a shot and came here with one of my…read morefriends and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed everything from the samosas to the curry. The staff was extremely nice and attentive, it was a Friday night and the place was full with many families dining in which was cool to see. With that, service was a bit slower but we were checked on consistently which was appreciated. For apps we got samosas and the fried onion dish. Both delicious. The green (mint-yogurt?) sauce that came with the samosas was delicious. The fried onion dish was good, I enjoyed the curry leaves and spices in them, they essentially felt like the Indian street food version of onion rings. The curry: I got Goat Chettinad and my friend got Lamb Rogan Josh. Both delicious. Goat Chettinad has a thick curry with coconut milk in the base with turmeric, ginger and all the other great spices that come along. The goat pieces were a little lackluster, not as much meat and a lot of bone. I would get a different meat next time, though, I'm sure this is variable from order to order as goat usually is. The lamb rogan Josh, which I was able to try, was delicious. Bright flavor, tangy, deep ruby red curry and the lamb pieces were plentiful and tender. A slight smokiness from black cardamom, packed with Kashmiri chili, it had such great depth of flavor. Eaten along with some garlic naan which was light, fluffy and had some slight charring around the edges which is exactly how I like it. Also, the parathas. If you haven't had these before, order them. Flakey, buttery and delicious. I've made them at home before and these are better than anything i can muster up! (Probably on account of more butter.. Makes everything better). The curry was quite heavy on the oil/ghee, so be mindful if you're sensitive to that. Also, I enjoy spice, but for rogan Josh which has a kashmiri chili paste base, be careful ordering "spicy". Or if you're a medium person, you may want to go mild. I liked their "medium" for rogan Josh and the "spicy" for the Chettinad but I enjoy spice. I'd recommend trying this spot out, I'll definitely be back.
