This business doesn't live up to the reviews and has been contacting yelp to remove the negative reviews customers have rightfully left including mine for the third time now when I in fact did business and had a negative experience with this business. I hired them to install an AC system in the house I was developing and they left things unplugged leading to water built up in the walls and cabinets which lead to mold being developed and required me to tear things apart to start again and pushed back the opening of my property by half a year. I tried many times to work with them to fix the problem on the property they caused only to get excuses and to blame me instead but I documented everything including the texts between me and them and this was all submitted to the contractors board as well as the BBB all of which has been ruling in my favor. He has called all the other workers I hired as well as the cheers air people that fixed his mess, threatened the mold inspectors by showing up to my job site without permission and got their company info to call their offices to intimidate them all of this has been documented and shown to the contractors board which lead me to winning my case and the bond to help with the damages caused by this business. The so called owner went as far as to get a restraining order against me as the owner is my neighbor and wishes to start personal problems outside of business due to losing to the state board, the order was thrown out and we weren't in the court room for very long after the judge saw all the evidence put together, the owner went as far as to be petty as possible even listening me as a "female" even though clearly I am not just to find some way to annoy me, only made me laugh that someone can this petty and delusional. The so called owner is named Tim however after going through the state contractors board I found out while he is a representative he is not the owner it is his mother and his brother but they let him run the show. I also found out Tim had his own AC business which went bankrupt and now is work for his mothers and brothers business. Be aware of this company. If you have any questions feel free to reach out and i'll gladly give out copies of the work invoice from them and show you a public search of the business that can be done through the contractors board showing his loss as well as all evidence pertaining to my case and their faulty work. If there was a negative star or 0 I would have chosen that for this organization. Our AC broke down and we had this company's services. They have revived the authorization for several new units from insurance company and still could not fix our AC after 6 visits. Not only they could not fix it they even broke down our heater and fan. Even having an AC expert at my house who tried to help and give them advise they refused to listen. They are the biggest liners and the worst company I have ever worked with. No quality check no risk assessment. They keep blaming others for their mistakes they told us the insurance company would not accept to replace the Furnece yet when I personally called the insurance company I was informed by 3 authorization department staff that they never received any report of any assessments nor request and they will be glad to authorize replacement by a brand new units as long as they receive the reports. If you want someone to come and just tape a door for you and not do anything or break what works this is the company you need to call. Not to come fix anything. Especially Tim. read more

TL;DR If there was a "no star" option I'd pick that. Four years ago we bought a house and had a home protection plan. Our AC didn't work and Rassac was on the list of preferred vendors to service the air from the home protection plan company. They came and replaced half our AC system, which we saw as a boon because it was, essentially, covered by the plan. The following year a heatwave hit and the AC couldn't keep up. I called Rassac back, because I knew our system was under warranty, and they took forever to call us back and come out. When they did, they said the freon had a leak and they replaced it. The system worked better but not great and when I called them again they informed me the AC system was undersized for our house. I reminded them that the unit was installed by them and I got a bit of a "technical speak" answer I felt was designed to appease me, but I accepted it. The next year the same heatwave happened (L.A., of course) and we called again. This time, I was informed by Rassac that they were no longer accepting residential customers. I told her we were an existing customer and our system was under warranty. I had to ask to speak to the owner. They told me he would call me back. Uncertain if they were to service the unit, I called another AC service company a friend referred me to. They came out, looked at the system, confirmed the unit was the wrong size for the house, but also there was a lot of other problems with the installation of the system. I paid them for their second opinion, got copious notes, and waited for the owner of Rassac to call me back. When he did, he argued with me that no one at his company would tell me they weren't taking residential customers. I said, "Why would I lie about that? What could I gain?" (Anyone ever hear of "The Customer Is Always Right"?) Finally, after more arguments, they agreed to come look at the unit. When they came, I gave them the notes from the other AC service company and they informed me that the information the other company provided to me was bogus, an attempt to get me to pay for a lot of unnecessary work. (They also said they found out that I was, in fact, told they weren't taking residential customers and apologized for that.) Rassac looked at the unit and said it was out of freon again, recharged the unit, and got it working (more or less) again. This year, on a Monday, the heatwave returned again and I called Rassac again, expecting them to tell me it's the freon again. When I called, once again I was informed they weren't taking residential customers. Again, I informed them I was an existing customer and that my unit should still be under warranty. I was told I would get a call back the same day to confirm an appointment for Thursday or Friday of the same week. When I never got a call back that Monday to confirm the appointment I called again the next morning and they told me they never said they would call back to confirm the appointment and that now there were no longer any appointments Thursday or Friday. Frustrated, I said that if they had phoned me back to confirm when they said they would there would still BE an appointment for Thursday or Friday. The logic was lost on the individual I spoke with. They said they would call me back Tuesday to confirm an appointment with me. No call back. I called again Wednesday and was again told they weren't taking residential customers. I asked to speak to the owner and to get an appointment and said I wanted a call. That was a week ago Wednesday. It has been 10 days and still no call. That's okay, because I called the "second opinion" company back this year and they showed up THE SAME DAY AT 8 PM to service our unit. They looked things over and said the unit wasn't out of freon, it was in fact a bad weld patch in the line that was gumming up the freon line. They removed the copper line and showed me the bad patch job. They replaced everything and got it working the next day with no fuss, no muss, and a warranty on the repair. They said we shouldn't need more freon next year or for some time. They were polite, quick to respond, answered their calls, were clear and honest. I can understand how a commercial customer can get priority over a residential customer during a heat wave because their unit breaking down effects more people and potential income. But why tell an existing company you won't take residential customers at all, particularly if they are warranty customers. Is that legal? I'm done with Rassac, their lack of customer service, their unwillingness to support their customers, their work, or their warranty. read more

Best, most honest, most reliable, most competent people around. They show up when they say, and get the job done. They may not be the cheapest, but you're not going to have to look for somebody else to pay to clean up their mess! We had our whole house air conditioner and ducting replaced by RASSAC. We had the ducting done with a 4 zone system. For the first time in 25 years we now have a wonderfully cool house. TL;DR... Rassac Air is an amazing organization. They are professional, dedicated, hard-working, personable, prompt, and flexible. Seriously cannot recommend this organization enough. I've been having trouble with my AC unit at my condo since I first purchased it ~1.5 years ago. It's required a few different visits due to different problems in this short span of time, but Pedro has been there every step of the way. He is an incredibly friendly person, very patient and understanding, and clearly knows his way around an HVAC unit. He has answered every question that I've been able to throw at him without hesitation or frustration. His workmanship is also incredible (well I assume it's incredible because he works so hard every time he comes over... I clearly have no actual idea since I would be fixing my own HVAC unit if I knew what was going on hahah). I work long shifts and it is hard for me to get back to my condo during normal business hours, but Rassac has been incredible about working with me to get the service done during my rare windows of availability. These guys are the best. No less than 3 people felt it was necessary to disassemble and reassemble the furnace in order to get to a leaky gas valve. Noah from Rassac took a minute or two to determine that all that was needed was to turn a pipe elbow. Result: hundreds of dollars saved. He saw a simpler solution no one else could see. These guys seriously are the best! They are the most honest and experienced HVAC people Ive found, by far. The A/C in my townhouse wasnt working very well and I originally contacted another company for repairs. The guy came, took a quick look around. Told me my A/C system is old and needs to be replaced. He told me no amount of repair work would get it to work very well. That's when I found Rassac. I called them for an appointment and Tim from came to look at my AC system, and after several hours of real in-depth troubleshooting, he found not one, but several leaks in the system, he repaired the leaks and re-charged the system and had the thing back together in only a few hours. The system ran nice cold from that day and stayed working until the day I sold my place. There was a certain level of dedication that was very apparent with the repair process from Tim. He wasnt there to just do a quick repair job and leave. You could tell he genuinely wanted to find the problem and repair it, almost if it was a matter of honor for him. That's the kind of service you don't find these days. You can tell these guys really know what they're doing. They take the time to explain things and are clear on their explanations. Its really hard to find really experienced and honest companies these days. You owe it to yourself to give these guys a call if you need any HVAC installations/Repairs. I recently called Tim for some help with wiring in a thermostat and he took the time out of his busy to explain what I needed to do over the phone. If I could give a negative star review I would. This company installed the AC unit 4-5 years ago so I decided to call them first as they "should" know the system. They sent someone out and the guy calls me immediately (I am out of town and house is my elderly mothers place) and says nothing is wrong and is ready to leave. I kept him on the phone long enough to explain that it works fine being turned on after being off for at least 20 minutes. As I am telling him this it stops working. he tells me he will now check further. He calls back to tell me its 2 problems. The filter got caught up in the coils and that the thermostat is in the wrong place and pounded on that and asked who installed it. Once I said it was you guys, he said well the location may not be a problem I don't know but understand the install team is different from maintenance team!. He called it good and left. The care taker at my moms home called me and said its still not running right (hot air). I called the tech back and he said he would come back and look at it. He didn't come that day said he would come the next day. He didn't show up then either. I asked him if I should call the office and have them send someone. He said no I'll come over on Saturday on my own time. He can and said the contactor is chattering (I have since heard that's normal?) he said he would come back Monday with a new contactor. He never showed called or anything on Monday! after not hearing from him tuesday I called the office and the dispatcher gave me a hard time for not calling her to get the work done. I told her the tech told me he'd handle it and she said he has no business telling me that! How is that my problem? I told her I need someone to come out and that I want a different person. The first tech told me he was more experienced with industrial systems rather that residential and that bothered me. She sent out another person and this guy was even more impatient than the first guy. He turned on the unit, stuck a temp gauge in the vent said it running fine, told my eldlely brother to let it run all night its working fine and left. He did it so fast he never saw it shut-down nor did he call me like I had asked to explain the problem in detail. I understand the guys are busy but you have stay long enough to see the problem or have someone explain it to you. I called dispatch and told them not to send anyone else, I am done with them. I am going to call another company and get it done right. She told me to wait and let the owner call me to possibly come and look himself or at least discuss with me. Good thing I didn't wait. That was almost a week ago and have not heard from anyone! Its safe to say I will NEVER use or recommend them again! read more

There should be a minus O rating to describe the services I received from this company. In October 2017 I wanted to engage Rassac as a maintenance company for my heating and air conditioning system. Before the contract was signed, the company sent a mechanic/technician to my home to inspect the heating/AC system. They charged $556 for the inspection and some refrigerant. A week after the inspection, a huge water mark appeared on the ceiling of our family room directly underneath the unit which the mechanic had worked on. The mechanic said he heard a faint noise in the unit blower so he opened it up and found some condensation and sediments. He cleaned up the condensation and closed the unit back. Apparently, he was an inexperienced mechanic and did not do a good job putting the unit back so it leaked water when the system ran. We called the company and they told us to shut down the system completely. Several days later the owner of the company came and fixed it. When I asked him about the ceiling, he told me I should obtain several estimates to see how much it cost. After a lot of hassle over the holiday period, I manage to obtain several estimates, I got the lowest bidder of $1,200 to paint the entire ceiling. I had asked all the painters if it could be repaired by just painting the stained area. They all said that it would be impossible to match the old paint and would not recommend it. Prior to having the ceiling painted, I called Rassac company owner to let him know the estimates I received and to discuss any issue he might have, but I never got a call back. I finally had the ceiling painted, paid the bill and forwarded a copy with my letter to the company. More than a month later I still did not hear from them. Eventually I got a hold of the owner. He argued that it was not their fault, that my A/C unit was going bad anyway and that I did not have to paint the whole ceiling, etc. I stated that if the unit was going bad or leaking their mechanic should have repaired it or Recommend what should be done. That was the whole purpose of having an inspection. They disagreed. In other words, Rassac refused to take any responsibility for the damage or to pay for anything. I would not recommend this company to anyone if it is the last air/heating company there is. read more
