Food: We ordered the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, the Al Pastor Pineapple, the Vegan one, and the Mahi Mahi Special. The Jamaican Jerk and the Al Pastor were definitely the best. They were spiced nicely and had lots of meat/toppings. I was very excited to try the daily special Mahi Mahi taco, but was disappointed. I thought the fish was bland. The Vegan was good, but I prefer meat in my tacos so it wasn't too exciting. Overall I think their everyday tacos are great and the special was meh. Location: It's in downtown Laguna Beach and has a great outdoor patio. They play music over the speaker and you can just chill while you wait for your tacos. Love the vibe. I would definitely come back in the afternoon to sit out with a beer on their patio and just relax. read more

Different spin on flavors and spices which is good! Tacos I tried: El pastor: (2.5/5) It definitely is flavorful however I found it a little too salty for my liking. Ended up just eating half of it. Steak: (3/5) Good marination, reminded me of beef jerky. Shrimp: (4/5) My favorite out of the ones I got. Decently sized juicy shrimps however pricey. Chipotle sauce was my favorite. Omg. If you are debating on where to go eat and you stumble upon this place, go here!!!!! I went with my best friend, first timers, and the guy at counter was kind enough to suggest a few things. We both ended up getting salad bowls and some guacamole and chips. The salad bowls: best salad I have ever had! Not your typical style, it had so many ingredients that just worked together so well! I added the El Pastor to mine and my bf added Jerk Chicken to hers. We sat there for a good 20 minutes in silence just enjoying every bite. It was like in that scene in the Ratatouille movie, where the rat combined the cheese, the grass drop and the strawberry together and there's fireworks of flavors? Yup that was us. Really great taco shop. Decided to try it out because I was starving on our way to Laguna Beach. It's a walk up storefront with patio seating, super close to the beach. The guy in the window recommended the jerk chicken so we got two tacos and a California dragon burrito. Plus carne asada mini quesadillas for the kids which were the perfect handheld size for them. My daughter loved it and ate three of the four pieces it came with. I tried a bite and it was nice & flavorful. It came with guacamole and everything comes with chips. I really loved the jerk chicken tacos and the seasoning of the meat. The burrito is good too but I feel like the heat of the jalapeño overpowers the jerk chicken so maybe it's better with a meat like carnitas. I liked being able to sit outside enjoying our food with a Coke and Corona. Now that I'm reading more yelp reviews I'm bummed we didn't try their sauces lol, wish I was paying more attention. After a day on the beach, this place hits the spot. The concept is tacos meets Jamaican spices. I had the jerk chicken taco bowl which had a jerk sauce which was complemented by fresh veggies, chicken, and dried mango strips. So good and a lot of volume. Lupe's still is on our top list, but this is very close to the top as well, if we like something more on the sweeter side. It was our first time here. We got here about 45 mins before closing and were the only customers. I ordered the Caribbean Bowl and my husband ordered the Jerk Taco Combo. I believe that because of how late it was, they were out of some ingredients. They came out to tell my husband that there was enough chicken for my bowl but not for his tacos, so he opted for carne asada instead. I think they were also out of rice and beans because there was no rice in my bowl and his "combo" didn't have the rice and beans on the side like it was supposed to. They did give us French fries and guacamole, though, so that was good! My bowl also had a lot of juice from the black beans on the bottom. Overall, the food was enjoyable. Tacos are 'good' if you're not a local. There are so many great taco places in south Orange County that take the gold compared to Rasta Taco. The tacos aren't traditional tacos and contain too many ingredients and the carne Asada isn't true carne Asada. I was hoping they'd be awesome since they are double the price compared to other taco shops. I'm done. I ordered a regular carne asada burrito to go. When I got to where I was going and took a bite there was no meat in my burrito. Instead, I was given a veggie burrito. They have significantly changed things for the better! Portions are larger. The flavors are very bold for SoCal so this is a welcome change from the usual watered down Sonoran style Mex here. Expect bold flavors and hotter than normal spices, but not TexMex hot. We loved the tortilla soup, carnitas (pulled pork style, not those rubbery lumps you get elsewhere), some slaw dish that was fabulous despite too many candied mangoes which were easily moved off and some might like, carne asada bowl with a quite sweet lime vinaigrette, excellent. All the meats are tender and interesting and not bland. The salsas they give out are a tad on the small size, but are all interesting and you should find one you like.
