It was perfect. The cilantro lime steak salad made the best afternoon snack for me and my husband. Grilled carne asada tops a bed of greens, a generous amount of avocado, red onions, shredded jack cheese, tomato, roasted corn, black beans, and crispy tortilla strips.stripe. All dressed in a lime vinaigrette. It was so refreshing and full of protein, both animal and plant. We always try to eat as healthy as possible and this truly hit the spot. Pairs well with a bottle of unsweetened tea. Service was nice and fairly quick. Located in the Pavilions shopping center, and 6-minute walk from our hotel, this really made our day. Seatings are plentiful on this weekday, both inside and outside. There are other items on the menu like tacos, enchiladas, and burritos. We will definitely try these next time we're in town. This place was very clean and trendy. The workers were very kind and helpful when ordering. You do order them seat yourself which is nice. My wife and I came to eat here for lunch around 3 pm on a Thursday and there was a lot of sun inside the restaurant..I ordered the Asada bowl which was pretty good and my wife ordered a burrito (plain). We waited a while to get a refill which was unfortunate but once we flagged down a waitress we received good service. I would eat here again. read more

As you walk up, Asada gives the vibe of a true Laguna restaurant: classy, yet practical. There's a To-Go window in front along with indoor and outdoor seating. While Asada strives to be high end in ambiance, their service does not fully match that vibe. It was a half-service restaurant, which is not reflected in the prices. Additionally, food was good, not great, mostly due to the price. The chips and guacamole were overpriced and pretty bland. The chile relleno burrito was great yet had a lot of lettuce. What this place does great though is its tacos. Definitely worth another trip to pick up some steak tacos. Overall, was a great time! This is one of the best Mexican restaurant we've been to. Not only do they have great service, but their food is so deliciously good. They're located right across from Laguna Beach in front of the Pavilions plaza and next to a pizza restaurant. We ordered the birria tacos plate and the tres amigos plate which comes with short ribs tacos, mahi mahi tacos, and steak enchilada. The birria tacos and mahi mahi tacos were the best. Both had great flavors and the proteins were very fresh and delectable. Definitely coming back for their other menu items like the breakfast and drinks. There's outdoor and indoor seating. You can order as take-out or dine-in. It's a kinda small place, but great location since it's so close to the beach. There's only one unisex restroom and you need a key code to go in. read more

Good food at a fair price but that's where it ends. You order at the window or counter which as confusing as people were doing both which I'm not a fan of but understand the advantages for the restaurant staff. The team was friendly. Expensive house margaritas for the size. The Enchilada Salsa Ranchero with steak @ $16.95 was delicious and a a large portion. I would order again. Good fajita steak in a very mild ranchero sauce. Not as rich with a kick of spice where you can taste the chili powders but good. The cilantro roce and black beans were a good pairing for an overall delicious choice. Limited parking so you'll want to walk if you can. It's Laguna Beach so you'll want to walk everywhere due to limited parking. The inside is small and there's a lack of ambiance. It felt like I was at an upscale food court restaurant. There is a small patio so you take in the fresh air and watch the world drive by. I will revisit for the food but only if I can walk or double park to pick up to go and skip the overpriced cocktails. read more

My daughter and I visited Asada Tacos and Beer after a day at the beach. We were greeted by a mid age woman with her light brown hair pulled back - she was extremely rude. She misunderstood our order for carne asada fries and brought out a side of fries. We specifically went there for the carne asada fries I saw on IG. When she brought the fires I said we ordered carne asada fries and she replied - I thought you said a side of fries. Really?! Why didn't she clarify my order if she wasn't sure. Why would I order a "side of fries" that's not even an option on the menu. 1. Service was horrible 2. Food was whatever. 3. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the front then find a seat and they'll bring the food. I tried one short rib crispy taco and a steak soft taco. Our table also ordered corn, spicy tator tots and maragaritas (lavendar was one and hibiscus another). With our tacos we asked for salsa. It came out hot, not spicy but temperarure hot like fresh. What a great Yelp find last minute while driving down the PCH. The habanero hot sauce has a kick, so be liberal with application. The tacos are big, they are not street taco size. My short rib tacos only had one tortilla and fell apart, I think this was a mistake because my fish tacos had two tortillas each and stayed intact. At least they had forks and friendly service to get us the fork quickly. Definitely worth a stop if you're driving down from LA to San Diego. read more

The crispy potato jalapeño tacos were good. They were packed to the brim and the flavors were good. The hard shell tortilla was a bit on the thicker side so it was more of a crunchy than crispy experience. The tater tots were seasoned with a spice blend and along with their dipping sauce it was a good shareable item. The sweet corn tamale with butter was a great treat to end the meal. We came a bit earlier than the typical dinner time and they weren't busy. The have a lot of tables and chairs inside and one in their front patio too. This place is awesome! I was looking for a place that my group could pay upfront individually and still have a nice restaurant feel to it. This place was great for just that. We had a group of 14 and we all sat inside. They have beer and cocktails too, BONUS! I feel bad for the servers because they were short staffed but they handled the situation great and we didn't feel any lapse in service. Will def be back! read more

The food here is so delicious. I recommend the Mexican Cobb Salad, I added black beans to mine but it's essentially a burrito bowl which I love! A bit pricey.. you're looking at $60 for 2 burrito bowls + chips & salsa + tip. Food is worth it, but I don't think I'd come here for a daily meal. The inside is pretty small but there's also a ton of outdoor seating with a pretty view for sunset. Service was fast & efficient, everything came out perfect. We arrived late in Laguna and were starving after a full day of travel. Asada was recommended by our hotel and was a quick walk. Closing time was about 30 minutes after we arrived so I was worried how we might be treated. Upon arrival, you order at a window outside. My daughter and I both opted for steak tacos and I added a sangria. It was such a cute place inside. You could tell they were starting closing procedures but nobody was rude. We were out the door before closing. Food was good. My daughter loved her tacos! Good food. Probably nothing to go out of your way for, but we all enjoyed our lunch well enough. Seating was quite difficult as all of the tables were up high. We had toddlers and an elderly man who all struggled with the seating. I tried the carne asada tacos (meh), street corn (yum) and calamari (yum). I wouldn't order the carne asada tacos again...which is kinda sad for a place called Asada! But there are just so many places that really nail it, that this one fell a little short for me. I think this place mostly bills itself as a takeout joint but I opted to dine in and was well taken care of. The dos dips and chips were a good appetizer to start. Tried the potato taco plate and asada plate, both were delicious! The strawberry margarita was very well made also. read more

The best jalapeño popper I've ever had. You order at the window. I got one of their "fav plates" it was the carne asada plate I believe. It was disappointing unfortunately. Kinda bland all around & super chewy beef. The house marg wasn't anything to write home about didn't bother finishing it. My food arrived and he asked if I needed anything else I asked for more napkins. He never came back not 1 time. To be fair it was Mother's Day but they really weren't that busy. it was around 5pm. This is a great spot! I liked that you can place your order outside which saves a ton of crown room inside the place; the line in this case is out on the sidewalk. The service is quick and friendly. For your buck, I'd say you receive a generous portion of food each. Their warm salsa is delicious, and I highly recommend the green shrimp enchiladas and mahi fish tacos. This is a casual place along highway 1 with plenty of parking behind it in the Pavilions lot. We got Raymond's Hangover Burrito: a generously sized burrito with bacon, poblanos, cheese, eggs, tater tots. The burrito itself wasn't spicy, but the salsa definitely was. The burrito hit the spot, but the highlight was the seasoned tots on the side - super crunchy and flavorful. The whole thing stayed really hot for our 15 min drive back and made for surprisingly good takeout (well, we did dig into the tots while driving). It's definitely worth checking out Asada for this breakfast burrito! read more

Favorite taco spot in OC. Everything we have tried on the menu has not disappointed. Always gotta get the chips with warm salsa. The best salsa and not very hot. Amazing flavor. This time we tried the chicken taquitos. I love the crispy chicken taco so gave these a try and they were so delicious, super crispy and paired great with the warm salsa verde. Also grabbed a side of the street corn which is always a hit. I love the house made watermelon agua Fresca and horchata are very refreshing. Salads and burrito bowls here are really good as well. Stumbled into this place because it was close to our Airbnb. Loved it and will be going back! You order at the counter and then they bring you the food. Great place if you have kids because it's casual and quick, and the food is delicious. We didn't have margaritas but they looked awesome and were $10. We'll get one next time! Everything we ordered we'd order again except the tacos: chips and large guac (tons of guac and came with warm salsa also, this is a must order and a deal for $11!), short rib asada bowl, grilled mahi tacos (okay but tiny little pieces of fish and would not order again), street corn (on the cob if you're into that, great flavor,). No utensils, either -- we had to ask for those. When we asked about a missing side, he said it was busy... then just never brought it. Still don't know what happened to it. Every time we asked for something, it was the same excuse: "Sorry, we're just really busy." But the place wasn't even that crowded. It felt like no one knew what was going on. Other tables were clearly frustrated too -- people were complaining, sending food back, some looked ready to leave. And for all this, the prices were pretty high. The best part? Continuing my Mexican fiesta journey during a recent business trip, I stopped into Asada Tacos. Cool little place on the main drag north of main beach Laguna. It was a little chilly so I sat inside after ordering. I really like the atmosphere of the location. Fits the town. I ordered the Mahi Mahi Burrito (make your own) with some chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were good. The Smokey flavor of the salsa was really nice with a good heat to it. My burrito on the other hand was good. I think that it could have had a little more flavor to it. That could be my fault in terms of what I put in the burrito. But the fish itself could have had a little more seasoning. It was a good experience and there are a lot of options.
