Perfect beach snack shop!! Burgers hot dogs breakfast coffee shakes!! What more can you ask for this place had everything!! Drive up step out and order. The lady that took my order was so nice and friendly. Our order was ready in minutes, the corn was the star of the show piping hot fair quality steps away from the beach tog can't beat it!! Chicken tenders and fries were on point. If you're in Laguna beach looking for a snack this is your place!!!

Sign and view! View is only good thing

Ordered some chicken tenders for the boy a hotdog for us and some chicken tacos... along with a milkshake! So the chicken tenders you can't make out if it's fish or chicken since it's fishy so cooking with really old grease! Hotdogs is hard to mess up but it was not good... tacos was so so... milk shake was just malt and worse than a McDonald's shake so yeah! Avoid this

Closest thing to the food I ate just trash

This has to be one of the most overpriced burger joints I've ever encountered. Not only are the employees incredibly rude, but my meal alone cost $18.56. You'd expect the food to be good for that price, but it was far from it. The food was cold, and the fries were soggy. They even charge 75 cents for ranch and extra for yellow peppers, which feels ridiculous. To make matters worse, all the outdoor tables were filthy. When I tried to clean my own table with a wipe, it revealed a layer of black dirt. This place is just disgusting and horrible. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.

Amazing food!! Quite possibly the best burgers and fries I've ever had. We were craving a delicious burger and that's exactly what we got. It was so good we came back for breakfast the next day. I live in San Diego but I will definitely make a trip back up here just to have this again. husky boy burger with a large fries and a cookies & cream is a must. You cannot skip the fries. Not to mention the customer service was outstanding. You can tell everyone is really working hard and they are proud of their establishment. 10/10

The best thing about this place is their parking

The good is that they have plenty of parking. Which is really hard to find here in Laguna Beach. The customer service was horrendous from the male employee that we encountered . My dad and I ordered food and then decided immediately after that we wanted to switch one of the fries into onion rings. He gave me my receipt, I said excuse me excuse me and he just walked away. I went to the other window and I said can we switch the fries? No, it's too late! I was like I just ordered. How can it be too late? I don't care about the money obviously but why would you tell me no? If it's more money I'll pay. Maybe I'm a spoiled brat but when it comes to food, I just want what I want . The bread was falling apart like low quality sourdough it didn't even want to stay together. My dad said the best part about the restaurant was the Philippine beauty inside. In the end, we made the best of the situation because father daughter time is very important to me.

When thinking about a bite to eat on the west coast, there is nothing more California than grabbing some food at an American joint facing the ocean. And while I was in the Newport area, I was recommended to try Husky Boy Burgers right on the Pacific Coast Highway. Open to trying this spot, I drove in around 7PM and saw a decent sized line. That's when I noticed that Husky Boy Burgers is more of a hole in the wall eatery. With the pickup counter, a few barstool seats, and plenty of covered outdoor tables, the environment matched similar to a semi-dated beachside bar. Walking up to the counter, I noticed there were many burger and sandwich options. But craving something different, I settled on an order of Fish and Chips which was 16 dollars before tax. I was given a buzzer and returned to pick up my food about 15 minutes later. Notes: 1) The parking lot is pretty tight and irregularly laid out. If driving a larger vehicle, consider parking on the streets nearby 2) There is no public restroom at this restaurant. Need I say more? Opening up the box, I first noticed the ratio of the items inside. Though this was supposed to be a fish and chips order, the box consisted of 60% salad, 20% fish, and 20% chips. It was true that the menu mentioned salad came with the meal. But I was expecting it to be just a side. The fries were just smaller than typical steak fries which weren't terrible in terms of quantity. But each piece of fish was similar to a flat stick. Though I was borderline filled, price to portion was not justified in my eyes for the quality of the food. And though 16 dollars might be a normal price for seafood in the Newport area, the imbalanced ratio of ingredients made it seem like the 16 dollars was going towards the salad first and the seafood second. From there, I gave the benefit of the doubt. "Maybe the food tastes better than it looks". But unfortunately, the taste of the food could have been better. The salad seemed to be made up of the tomatoes and lettuce used in their burgers. Though it was simple, it was more fresh than many other places I've been to. The dressing was standard, but at least gave the salad a sweet-salty flavor. The fries were lightly salted, but came out soggy. A few of the fries were crisp, but those ones in particular were all of the small bits. If you were wondering if the fish was any good, I'd be inclined to say no. The breading was borderline crisp and was close to flavorless. And on top of that, the breading made up about 50% of the piece of fish. Though I dislike being negative, I have to admit the fish tasted comparable to freezer-ready fish filets. It wasn't bad to the point where I wouldn't finish the meal, but I would probably not order this again. Though most the meal fell flat, I will give the benefit of the doubt to Husky Boy Burgers and say that you probably would be coming here for the burgers and not the fish and chips. But for what it's worth, the fish and chips at Husky Boy Burger only gets 2 out of 5 stars. On the bright side, the food came out quickly and the staff inside were friendly. The eating space, for an outdoor establishment, was clean and well maintained. In all, my experience at this roadside eatery wasn't the best. But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't give them a try. If I'm in the area again in the future, I'll be sure to give them another go.

Pastrami on a cheeseburger? Of course, yes! Lol This little place on the PCH in Malibu is preparing some unusual, but super tasty bites Walk up window, but outside tables. Would definitely recommend if you want something solid, without the fuss of dining in

Husky Boy Burgers is a good place to get some good food. Close by the beach if you're inclined to do so or you can sit down there and relax.

Would 100% come back. That said, I'd admit, a certain DTLA Michelin restaurant has set my expectations of south of border seafood cuisine a bit too high (starts with H) so I'll try to be reasonable. Also the items picked were surprisingly huge and i was too full to finish my meal. 9/10 The chips tasted delicious, bean dip was something new and delicious, salsa was fresh and bold, and the roasted pepper salsa was surprisingly not too spicy, really good. 8/10 trio de cheviche. Good assortment and size of the dish. Shrimp was ok, I felt it was missing something, octopus was good, my personal favorite was the marinaded tuna. 8/10 seafood chile relleno, not a bad assortment, sides were good, large portions of food. 10/10 Coco rita, this margarita is definitely something different! And pairs with everything amazingly, I love it, and this is coming from someone who normally hates coconut. 9/10 they brought out this chocolate cake I dont see on the menu but they will if it's your birthday, but in my case to celebrate my new engagement. Super moist. The place is really loud ambient wise when busy which was around 8pm which is normal of any popular place but after near closing around 9:30 is pretty quiet and casual on a Sunday. Total bill after a 21% tip ran me total $165 and I had leftovers. Free chips, 1 large giant appetizer, and 1 large entree could potentially feed 3 people if you don't eat a lot. If you don't wanna have leftovers, go easy on the chips but that's gonna be hard.

The flavor profile here is definitely a bit smokier/charred compared to the Taco Stand spots down south, especially compared to La Jolla. There are slight variations in how some of the food is cooked and prepared, but it's not bad at all -- just different. If you come in expecting an exact replica, you may notice the differences. If you treat this location as its own thing, it's honestly really solid. Huge shoutout to Carlos at the register for the excellent customer service. We ordered food both for here and to-go, and everything was packed separately exactly how we asked. We also made a few modifications after placing the order, and Carlos went out of his way to track down our ticket and write the changes on it himself to make sure everything came out correctly. Food was still great, service was amazing, and we'd definitely come back again.

At the La Jolla location you can see the staff making the tortillas + churros and this location the tortillas were packaged. I'm not sure if they use the same ingredients but this could have changed the flavor profile. They were still yummy don't get me wrong but they just weren't as good as I remember them. I ordered chips and guac as well and the staff forgot to include it in my order so I had to go up to the counter another time which was quite a hassle given it's a very busy restaurant with the line out the door the entire time I was there. The salsa selection is rather nice especially when most restaurants are trying to cut down on salsa options + use the lower quality ingredients. You can tell the ingredients in the salsas were high + they even have a few creamy options which is hard to see at most Mexican restaurants these days. I do think the guac was a little limey but it wasn't bad when you added it to the tacos. If you go I would recommend you go with zero expectations of eating inside as there are about 5-6 tables + waiting a long time for your food. The beach is 10 steps away so you can always take your food to the beach too!

Despite how busy they were, the service was excellent. Drinks and appetizers arrived within minutes of ordering, and the staff did a great job keeping up with our large group. The unlimited chips and salsa were dangerously good. I always tell myself I'll stop after a few chips, but somehow I never do--and this salsa was definitely the reason why! For my entrée, I ordered the three seafood enchiladas. I appreciated that the seafood flavors were bold and fresh without tasting fishy. The green sauce complemented the dish perfectly and elevated the flavors even more. I also sampled a combination plate, which was good overall, although I felt the chile relleno had a little too much cheese, making it difficult to taste the chile itself. For dessert, we couldn't decide on just one, so we ordered the chocolate cake, tres leches cake, and fried ice cream. My ranking: fried ice cream first, tres leches second, and chocolate cake third. The chocolate cake was good but similar to what you'd find at many other restaurants. The tres leches was delicious--moist without being overly milky or sweet, and the almonds added a nice texture and flavor. The fried ice cream was the standout for me. The crunchy cereal coating added great texture, and because it wasn't overly sweet, it balanced perfectly with the ice cream. Overall, this is a place I'd definitely recommend for both the food and service. Just remember: reservations, reservations, reservations!.
