    Chicken Koobideh Kebob Dinner
    Pooja S.

Came here around 6:30 on a Monday. There were quite a few people here but there was plenty of seating! Food came out quite quickly, and it was very flavorful! I got the chicken, it was well spiced and well cooked. I also tried some of the pork and it was nice and Smokey and tender. The service was great, we got a few water refills. Would definitely recommend!

Delicious food and excellent service. The space is a little small and crowded but what place isn't in nyc? Regardless I'd definitely come back. We started with the hummus which was delicious, as was the yogurt and jalapeño/cilantro sauce that accompanied it as another dipper for pita. We split the beef kabob and it was excellent, and the best part was the rice. You can upgrade from white basmati to a specialty rice and we chose the one with sour cherries, pistachios, and almonds. It was my favorite part of the meal. We finished the night with the pistachio cake, which was also very tasty. We didn't have drinks, but between the appetizer, the shared kebab plate, and the dessert, it was $65 for my mom and I before tip. Honestly not bad as the kabob platter was so big we have leftover to take home. The servers were all super friendly. Our server Freddy was wonderful. We'll be back!

We went to Ravagh for brunch on a Sunday and this restaurant was busy! The decor is nice however the layout is really not ideal, it is basically 2 railroad long seating with tables and at the back the kitchen separates the sections. The kitchen was also completely open and smoke was pouring out due to their cooking style. We initially wanted a table in the 2nd room however the tables were so close together and we could not even push our baby stroller through. So we opted for the first room (the section when you walk in). It was also not really ideal either as our stroller kept getting in the walkway. While the other patrons were cordial and the staff was accommodating with our baby stroller, however I as a mom, did not feel comfortable in this situation. The food, on the other hand is absolutely delicious! I can see why there are regulars. While we have previously ordered from here, we've never been at the restaurant itself. We ordered koobideh, lamb chops, grilled chicken skewer and the branzino. It all came on huge plate full of rice and grilled veggies, such as onions, tomatoes, and zucchini. While I loved the veggies, it was hard to eat as a lot of them were burned. I had to remove the completely black tomato peel. I also loved that they gave us unlimited chutney and yogurt to pair with the meats. Overall, the food is excellent, rice is some of the best and the meats are deliciously grilled. However the layout and open kitchen is really not an ideal restaurant experience.

Chicken Kebab with French Fries Lunch Special

I met up with my sister for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. I've never had Persian food before so I was excited to try a new cuisine. The food was well prepared and delicious. I had the Chicken Kebab Lunch Special with French Fries. The special came with bread, different sauces and a side salad. Everything tasted very good and I definitely enjoyed my meal. I will definitely visit this restaurant again whenever I'm on the Upper East Side. The service was amazing and the restaurant was quiet. There weren't many people in there so it wasn't noisy. I enjoyed trying a new cuisine and I would recommend this place to anyone.

This was my first time here. The restaurant itself is beautiful. I ordered the Koobideh Kabob (ground beef kabobs). The portions were generous, and the food had a ton of flavor! I can't wait to come back and give this place another try!!!

Bronzini Lunch and Sultani Kebob Lunch

Great place with good food and nice atmosphere. Went here for lunch with my boyfriend. Portions are huge. So, for appetiser, we shared the Mediterranean Chopped Lunch Salad--fresh and flavorful. For the main dish, I had the Bronzini Lunch, and my boyfriend got the Sultani Kabob. Everything comes with fragrant rice and perfectly grilled vegetables. The fish was delicious, and the meat was tender and juicy. Even the complimentary bread and dips were great. Had some nice wine as well. Service was wonderful. Ravagh is a must-try!

Ravagh is... just okay. The kabab was dense and underwhelming - definitely not one I'd remember fondly. The vibe is decent, but the AC was blasting so cold it made the experience uncomfortable. Overall, not very memorable.

    Lamb Chops Kebob Dinner

We came here for dinner with a group, but make sure to plan for a reservation since there's not a lot of seating inside. The interior is cute and cozy, perfect for a feast! The service was quick, and they offered great suggestions. For appetizers, we had the hummus and kashk bademjan. Honestly, I regret not snapping a picture before we inhaled it--it was that good! I'm not even an eggplant fan, but this dish is a must-try. For the mains, we got the lamb chops and the combo platter loaded with meats. Trust me, skip the extra rice, even for a large group. While the lamb chops were decent (but I've had better as a Texan), the lamb, chicken, and beef kebabs were on another level. Each bite kept getting better--the marination must be straight from the gods! The platter also had steak strips that melted in your mouth. The only disappointment was the dill rice, which lacked flavor, but the meats totally stole the show. Will I be back? Absolutely, and I'm planning to fast that day so I can eat even more!

My favorite restaurant for Persian food - FYI, they also have locations in Long Island. Pros: + Friendly staff + Amazing bread and sauces - I really love both the yogurt based and the green one that they bring out to the table + Decor is absolutely stunning + Lamb kebabs are delicious - This is the one that I always have to get + Upgrades for the rice - My favorite is the Cherry one. Most of the kebabs come with basmati rice. However, you can spend $3 to upgrade to one of their flavored ones. Don't miss this chance! + HUGE Portions - I share everything when I come IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

Flatbread, Dolmeh (Stuffed Grape Leaves) & Salad Olovieh (Potato Salad w/ Chicken & Peas)

Ravagh is the place to go for Middle Eastern style Grilled Meatz! I've dined at the one in Mineola and had lunch takeout at the midtown east locations and always had very satisfying meals. We were able to secure a Friday night reservation inside for a group of 10 and they accommodated us in the farside split dining room. The decor is very modern with light earth tones. I'm just glad we didn't sit outside because it was still stiflingly hot outside, even into the evening. It was very relaxed because the staff was really laid back and we were not in any rush either. We started with an assortment of appetizers: hummus, babba ghanoush, baked kibbee, all spread on stretched flatbread and stuffed grape leaves. It wasn't until after we started on the appetizers that we ordered out entrees. We just ordered a bunch of grilled meat & seafood platters shared family style and they occupied almost every square inch of the long table. Each platter came with a choice of white or green basmati rice (also topped with saffron rice) with grilled onions and tomatoes, but we also substituted some grilled vegetables, which added eggplant, green peppers, zucchini and broccoli. For the meats, there was a mix of Koobideh Kabobs (ground beef), Dark Meat Chicken, Salmon Kabobs, Barg (sirloin steak chunks) and my favorite the Lamb Koobideh Kabobs. The lamb is just the way I like it with gamey taste that not everyone likes. We also had a Braised Lamb Shank stew that went quickly. The savory sauce from the stew was excellent with the rice. We ended up with a fair amount to take home, especially the mounds of rice and vegetables. The dessert menu has some unique and intriguing choices, so we ordered a variety. My favorite was the Persian Ice Cream that was a bright saffron yellow. Ravagh is great for groups if you reserve ahead of time, but also for date night (unless you happen to sit next to a large, loud party like us).

Price jump in 24 hours -- not fair to customers.

I've ordered from this restaurant several times, and the prices keep changing for the exact same item within 24 hours. Yesterday my Chicken Koobideh order was $25.20, and today the same order shows $30.00. When I tried to reorder from DoorDash, it first showed the restaurant as "closed," but it was actually open -- the price had just been changed. The prices keep going up from $18, then $25, and now $30. It feels like the restaurant is playing with the prices depending on holidays, weather, or busy times, which is not fair to customers -- especially people living in New York who are already dealing with high costs. Someone really needs to review and control these price changes, because this kind of inconsistent pricing is unacceptable.

Excellent place to go dine. A most wonderful experience. Food was very good. Was recommended. And now I recommend. Go! You wont be disappointed.

    Mediterranean Chopped Salad (~$11)
    Aya E.

Ordered: Combination Kabob (~$72): one skewer of Barg, one skewer of Jujeh and two skewers of Koobideh Mediterranean Chopped Salad (~$11): chopped crisp lettuce, steak tomato, cucumber, red onion, and feta cheese (on the side) with vinaigrette Aya's take: We found ourselves back at Ravagh as my family likes the Persian grilled meats here. The Mediterranean Chopped Salad was a good way to start the meal; it was fresh, colorful, and balanced. The meats are on point, as usual. They're super buttery, juicy, and tender and I love when the juices get soaked up in the saffron rice. My only complaint (every time) is how painfully slow the service is, even at times when they don't seem busy at all. Other than that, it's a great spot for Persian cuisine.

We were lead upstairs to a table. There were 7 of us The seating was cozy but not cramped. We started with 7 family style small dishes: Hummus with Falafel Pops (chickpea purée, tahini, falafel, olive oil), Spring Burrata (roasted cherry tomatoes, toast, basil oil), Hamachi Crudo (passionfruit vinaigrette, citrus zest, cucumber, mint, sesame tuile), Scallops (carrot puree, serrano pepper, brown butter sauce), Tenderloin Skewer (zaatar chimichurri, fresh herb salad), and Shiitake Stuffed Grape Leaves (tomato coulis, yogurt foam, herbs). Everything was delicious. The hummus was well seasoned the falafel had a nice crunch. It went well with the warm puffy gyro bread that came to the table. The burrata was wasm and creamy. I love the vinaigrette on the fish. I ended up eating most of it. The scallops were the sweetest, most tender ones I have ever had. The tenderloin skewers were tender and well seasoned. I liked the grape leaves but the rice consistency was very soft almost mushy and you can barely tell there were mushrooms. There was barely any mushrooms flavor. Next we all chose an entree. I got the duck breast, my husband and daughter each had the beef tenderloin. The duck breast was smaller than i expected. The skin was nicely seared and very crispy but boy did it give my jaw a workout. It was done medium rare. It was juicy but tough. The small beef tenderloin was tender and smoky. The waiter poured the sauce over the tenderloin for added flavor. Finally dessert was a fruit plate with ice cream and pudding. The fruit was fresh and the flavors of the ice cream and pudding unique. It was a nice end to a good brunch. The price was a little expensive at $85 a person.

As far as the meal I ordered the lamb chops and it came with the rice with the rice was perfection. It was completely cooked better than any other rice I've had in a long time.
