Raval Steakhouse's NYC Restaurant Week Menu - 8/13/25
    Alexis M.

Raval Steakhouse is on Minthorne St in S.I., NY. Raval was one of the establishments visited during an event earlier this Summer. It became my favorite place visited during that event and I knew I wanted to come back for dinner in tbe near future. Fast Forward...Jessica, Dina & I all returned to Raval Steakhouse to enjoy the ambiance, each other's company, & of course great food & cocktails! The "icing on the cake" is that we came during NYC Restaurant Week - good stuff! Raval is a chic & classy Steakhouse w/ sleek decor. Servers./ Staff are pleaseant, gracious, courteous & provided kind-hearted customer service. We were seated immediately in the backroom dining area along w/ other dining parties. I appreciated where we were seated as it was spacious enough to spread out & get comfortable. The NYC Restaurant Week Menu included choice of an Appetizer, An Entree w/ a side & Dessert ($60). We started w/ a Bread Basket. I ordered the U10 Seared Scallops while they had Grilled Oysters. We all ordered Skirt Steak and opted to have different sides. My Mashed Potatoes w/ Herb Butter paired well w/ the Skirt Steak w/ Chimichurri Sauce, which was well-seasoned & flavorful. Dessert was the Carrot Cake w/ Dulce De Leche. We also had Lost in Talum Cocktails as well as gin-infused cocktails. Everything that I had was delicious...The Steak and Lost In Talum Cocktail was just as tasty as before - Kudos to consistency! Gent was at the bar and took time to greet & speak w/ us before leaving. Thanks to Raval for a nice experience! ravalsteakhouse.com @ravalsteakhouse Raval Steakhouse is open for Dinner Service everyday (except Tuesday).

The heavens opened up and Yelp folks sought refuge in a fancy steakhouse, as we do. We (party of 3) were pleasantly surprised to find out that it was the last day the Restaurant Week menu was available and we all took advantage. We ordered two rounds of cocktails, Lost in Tulum and Midsummer Spritz, delicious and consistent flavor/presentation. On to the food. I had the oysters, steak, and carrot cake. Everything was excellent, cooked perfectly with a sumptuous taste. The ambiance is dim and intimate. I dressed up just a bit. Service was amazing, attentive and welcoming. Will visit again.

When I sampled their steak and charbroiled oysters during the Yelp Staten Island Bar Crawl, I knew I wanted to dine it. I came with two other Yelpers for Restaurant Week. I had to start off with the charbroiled oysters--funny thing, I don't like oysters, just the oysters at Raval! We all ordered steak, but I got fries, one got veggies and the other got mashed potatoes. For dessert, we all ordered the carrot cake with a dulce de leche sauce. For drinks, we ordered the Lost in Tulum. This was a winner during the crawl, and it was a winner while dining in. it was dimly lit, perfect for date night, or a girl's night. It's large enough to accommodate groups. It was worth the ferry ride. The service was great, just like it was during the crawl. I look forward to dining in again.

Forgot to take photos because we were so hungry. This is what was left of sides.

Bringing a Manhattan steakhouse to Staten Island. Everything they were trying to do was accomplished. Great atmosphere, great service, manager checked on us, excellent food. A great time was had. Pricey but that's what you can expect for excellence. Everything from bread to appetizers, entrees to desserts was superb. We got filet mignon, and porterhouse. Creamed spinach, mushrooms, Mac & cheese w/lobster. Taters, and a few desserts. Chef comped us on two of three desserts. Highly recommend this experience.

My partner and I visited on a Sunday evening and were glad we had a reservation, as the restaurant was full. It's a small, intimate space with a handful of tables, so booking ahead is a must. The atmosphere inside was a little dark, but the decor was quite nice and the staff were friendly. Upon arrival, there was a doorman outside, but he was preoccupied with his cell phone, so I ended up opening the door myself. Once inside, we were promptly greeted by what appeared to be one of the owners or co-managers, who then seated us. Our server, who also seemed to be one of the owners, was very attentive at the beginning of the meal, though he repeatedly asked us about ordering drinks. This was a bit bothersome after the first few times. He took our entire order, including our appetizers and main courses. After we ordered, our server seemed to disappear. He didn't check on us again, even after our appetizers were served. The restaurant didn't appear to be that busy at this point, so this felt a little strange. When we were finished with our meal, we had to wait a good while to get the bill and process our payment. Despite some of the service issues, the food was excellent. The shrimp appetizer was fantastic--the sauce was so good that we were given extra bread to dip in it. I highly recommend using the extra sauce for your steak as well. I would suggest skipping the clams, however. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were very flavorful. The desserts were decent but small and nothing special. Overall, despite a few service hiccups, the excellent food and nice atmosphere make me want to give this place another try

Last night we celebrated my son's birthday, and it was amazing. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, it has that NYC upscale Steak House vibe- the perfect setting for a special occasion. The drinks were expertly crafted--bold, flavorful, and just right. The food? Absolutely unforgettable--every dish was incredible. The presentation, flavor, and portions- 10/10. The staff went above and beyond checking in often and ensuring every moment was perfect. Please don't hesitate--make your reservation now!! Thank me later!!

A phenomenal, high-quality date night! Absolutely loved the atmosphere in this place. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, & attentive to all the guests. To say the food was delicious would be an understatement - we had the dry aged porterhouse for two (which was so incredibly tender!), the short rib cavatelli pasta, & french fries. The drinks were awesome as well - We loved the emerald cosmo & the deja vu but the coconut espresso for dessert was the icing on the cake for me - I would return there just for those alone! The carrot cake was also absolutely scrumptious. We will surely be celebrating more milestones here in the future!

CANNOT EXPRESS ENOUGH just how AMAZING this place was !!! As soon as I walked in I was in awe of how beautiful this place is you immediately feel regal and upscale. The service was top tier they made sure I was very well taken care making me feel like royalty ! The food was out of this world !!! The steak was buttery soft , tender and incredibly juicy with great portions. The sides complemented the meat perfectly and they had a great selection to choose from but my favorite was definitely the sausage ,Caesar salad , creamed spinach and lobster Mac and cheese ... clearly you can see I have a hard time just picking one favorite. This place truly is the perfect place for a memorable dining experience without having to go to the city

My husband and I decided to close out 2024 with a good meal at the hot new Raval Steakhouse. The ambiance and service were only rivaled by the great food and good music. The decor is industrial chic, beautiful leather seating, butcher block table tops, exposed brick walls, wood lined ceiling and black metal light fixtures with edison bulbs. The music was easy, soulful classic hits by the likes of Louis Armstrong, Etta James, Michael Bubble and Frankie Valli set the mood perfectly. Now for the food! Started with the fresh made popover bread served warm with garlic chive butter topped with sea salt on the side. For the appetizer we both the crab cake served on a bed of fresh greens was melt in your mouth perfect. I ordered the Spaghetti Fra Diavolo ( yes I know I went to a steakhouse) lol. It was perfectly prepared, spicy, excellent flavor, fresh seafood and al dente pasta (chef's kiss). My husband had the wet aged filet mignon cooked medium, it's was super tender, moist and flavorful. Excellent. For dessert we shared the carrot cake. Staten Island has another quality restaurant to the dining scene. Add this place to your list of places to try in 2025.

First time here. It is the old Flour and Oak. Place was renovated beautifully. Service was a little slow but the manager apologized. It was crowded. Food was good. Small menu. But for Staten Island the place is a great addition. I wish them lots of luck! We will be back!

The service and hospitality was top tier, they set up the table for us so beautifully and a specialize family style menu personalized to the special occasion !! The food was so tasty made with love. The variety of steaks were all different and all juicy & tender. Everything was delicious including the drinks. The owner is so proud and gave us such great attention. Can't wait to come back to taste the rest of the menu.

Constantly being checked on and staff is extremely friendly! We had a perfect meal my steak was out of this world! I had the Raval Cajun Ribeye ! My table had Charbroiled Oysters,Cavatelli Lobster Mac & Cheese,Watermelon & Feta salad,Lamb Chops and a couple Steaks! Some creamed spinach and whipped potatoes on the side! Everything 10/10 .. Bravo Bravo! I decided to finally give this gem of a restaurant a try! It was my husband's birthday so what better occasion to pull up! Upon walking it this place is BEAUTIFUL it's warm cozy and elegant the music selection was a mix of things but it was perfect for the ambiance. The menu is small which is great because small menus usually means better quality food. My husband ordered a smoked old fashion which comes with a little smoke show done table side very nice. The food here blew me away. Everyone ordered a different cut of steak every steak was cooked to the desired temperature requested and seasoned very well. No salt or pepper needed to be added to the steaks nor even steak sauce was needed . Let's get into what we ordered.... Appetizers: -The Scallops are made in this butter sauce that makes you want to lick the bowl. Seasoned very well and grilled to perfection. -The Ceaser salad was nice the romaine hearts are grilled and then dressed with dressing and cheese -watermelon salad is unique taste it has feta cheese chunks cucumbers chunks and a nice dressing -bone marrow waygu tartar this was the secret star on the table for the appetizers. Great flavor it was like butter very delicious. All the entrees come with either fries or a Ceaser salad . The fries are good we ordered sides for the table Sides - mushrooms had great flavor and paired well with the steak -shrimp scampi was great the freshness of the shrimp a1 -onion rings are huge I would recommend getting a Ceaser salad with the steak and ordering onion rings on the side trust me you won't be disappointed. For desert -carrot cake is like slice of loaf carrot cake that comes with a tres leche sauce that is poured on top at the table by the waiter. The carrot cake wasn't overly sweet it's ok it's not your typical carrot cake or traditional cake. - chocolate mousse was very very very rich it was almost like a fudge . If you loveeeee chocolate do it ! The service here was an amazing there was alot of attention by all the employees they constantly came over refilled water , took dishes wiped down the table in between everything. The manager is constantly walking around making sure every table is satisfied. I loved that the attentiveness they give each table is the same even if it a table of 2 ,4 or 10 . If you are looking for a nice first date, celebration date or just because you want a good steak stop by and enjoy the food I promise you will not be disappointed.

Mashed potatoes were tasty too. For dessert we got the hazelnut gelato. It had an ever so slight crunch to it which was SO GOOD. The only thing that I would love to see is a more robust wine selection. The server was attentive and made sure to ask if everything was okay several times throughout our visit. No bother, the lady upfront was nothing but kind. As we were seated, we were immediately taken care of. They give sour dough bread and butter to start, it was very good. I really liked my NY strip steak, it was well seasoned and fatty which was also good. I asked for a medium rare steak and they delivered as requested! As for their garlic bread, it's done on Italian bread and I absolutely loved it. A bit overdone on the baking, but delicious regardless. The burger was larger than I expected, and came with a crab cake too. Would definitely come again for their cuts of meat! What stood out to me the most was my kind server. Since I loved the sour dough and butter so much I asked for some to go. She then later came back with a whole loaf for me to take home!! Only issue at the end was the choice of payment being apple-pay. One server claimed they didn't take it, and Darcy corrected this and helped us to pay. Clear clarification would be greatly appreciated among all employees, rather than being told 2 different things. It almost feels like a place you stumble into in a small town from a hallmark movie. It's a spot with locals enjoying dinner or solo men having a drink at the bar. To start, the table got some complimentary rustic bread with a maple butter. The bread was good, but wished the butter was more soft. It was all crumbly and hard to smear onto the bread. For the meal, we ordered the Porterhouse Steak for 2 ($115) and a side of Lobster Mac & Cheese ($24). The steak was presented beautifully on a plate all sliced up for you. There was a nice seared crust, which gave it a nice amount of saltiness that it didn't need sauce with this. I was quite impressed with the mac and cheese, which could be a main dish all by itself from the portion size. The macaroni is cheesy and velvety while being loaded with lobster. I loved the chunks of lobster pieces in this, which is well worth the upgrade. Overall, a nice spot on Staten Island with an old school vibe. The steaks are as pricey as Manhattan steakhouses though, but good for locals not wanting to make the trek. Check out their weekday specials for better deals though.

For appetizers, we got zucchini chips, fried calamari and mussels. The calamari was fried too hard and it had a very salty, spicy Chilean type sauce over it. The zucchini chips were thinly sliced, lightly battered with Parmesan cheese sprinkled over them. They were decent but nothing to write home about. In fact, after having about six or seven of the zucchini chips I began to experience heartburn from the grease. For entrees, my husband had the chicken parm. He said it was too thick and should have been flattened more before frying. It was also very breaded. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken and waffles and he said the chicken tasted day old so after having a bite of one piece of the chicken he pushed the chicken aside and called it a day. I called the waiter over and informed him about the chicken tasting day old. He didn't try to change it out or take it off the bill or get a manager. He just apologized by saying I'm sorry. My crab Mac and Cheese was decent. It wasn't seasoned the way I would have liked but the huge, plentiful chunks of crab made up for that. I ate a third of my dish and packed the rest for home where I will doctor it up to my taste. I've never been to this particular restaurant before. The only reason we came today is because my brother-in-law was here on business and staying at a hotel in the area.

Interior design is so aesthetically pretty and provides a wonderful and elegant dining experience!…read moreThe service provided by Behrouz was attentive, friendly, and warm, which definitely helped enhance the dining experience! Now onto the main topic, the food: This is by far one of the better middle eastern/seafood restaurant in all of Staten Island! The appetizers that were amazing were the chargrilled octopus, which is a MUST-GET, and the half dozen oysters which was by far one of the sweetest oysters we ever had (it was so good we ordered 3 orders!) The tuna tartare, calamari, and lobster bisque were all decent but nothing too special. For entree, the lobster pasta was perhaps one of the best tomato based pasta I ever had! Although the amount of lobster in the dish was on the smaller amount for its price, the flavor was so savory, sweet, and perfectly tangy, highly recommend it! The sea bass was good according to my family, but the flavor was on the milder side in my opinion; they liked it nonetheless so perhaps it's just a personal preference at this point. The lamb shank I would not get due to how overpowering it was; the sauce was salty and intense, where it overwhelmed every part of the dish. It was unfortunate because the lamb was so tender and had a nice proportion between its meatiness and its fat content. The dry aged steak was only okay too, since the spinach was so watery it soaked the steak in its liquid (as you can see from the photo), which detracted from the dish unfortunately. Overall it was a decent dining experience, where some were amazing and others were less so. It's a pricey dining experience but if you get all the right dishes, it's worth the price tag! Definitely recommend giving Sea Bar a try and I can't wait to come back again one day to give them the five stars I know they can definitely accomplish! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

Sas efcharistó, this cute Greek vibe was a hit, came for my birthday dinner close to closing and…read morethe waiter BEHROUZ treated us like gold. all his recommendations were excellent (they have an amazing $50 prefix menu great with options). They offered hummus and bread--super fresh. Ohhh, Get the lobster bisque it had the biggest pieces of lobster I've ever seen in lobster bisque!!! The calamari were cooked to perfection. They had the grilled watermelon salad and beets apps also delicious . Bronzino that was given was a hearty amount. The drinks were on point. They sang happy birthday and even though the kitchen was closed they made sure we didn't feel rushed or pressured. Can't wait to come try more and to get the soup again. See you there

I have patronized Campagnia in Bay Ridge for many years. A friend wanted to try the Staten Island…read morelocation during the holidays. Have to admit things are a wee bit different here. First, this location appears a bit more spacious, there is an actual bar ( loved the Christmas shakers adorning it). The mood was festive and we were seated earlier than our Resy. Second,, this location, I'll abbreviated Si( Island of Staten) served complimentary focaccia and a dipping sauce. Nice touch and yummy! We really were just craving calamari and pizza. The Calamari was utterly delicious, plentiful, nice sized portion and the marinara sauce was delicious. For the pizza, we ordered half vodka and half Margherita. I didn't taste the vodka, my friend loved it! I ate the Margherita which was delicious. For dessert, Cappuccino hit the spot on a very windy night. The service was on point and the staff were friendly, accommodating and professional, especially on a busy night. I really liked the vibe.. I'll be back... Decided to do lunch with my Italian friend here. We was excited about coming here because of all…read morethe RAVE reviews . Sadly I was very much underwhelmed by the food. There's nothing "authentic " about the food here. Started with fried chicken wings and a focaccia. One wing was tasted and sent the rest back they were just not good . When I told the waiter we didn't like them instead of asking what was wrong he asked if they were cold. Which means they aren't made fresh . First red flag Focaccia came out and wasn't focaccia it was a thin crust pizza style very dry very hard not good . We picked at it but definitely didn't finish it . I wanted chicken parmigiana because I mean an authentic Italian restaurant can't mess that up right ? The food came out room temperature To about lukewarm which means the food isn't freshly made. I ordered roasted potatoes instead of pasta . The roasted potatoes had no flavor at all even after I added salt pepper and garlic it still was on the bland side . The chicken cutlet was ok the cheese was the best part . Food wasn't hot . My friend ordered a portofino sandwich minus the eggplant and fries . She stated the fires tasted like McDonalds fries and the sandwich was underwhelming. The prosciutto wasn't salty and there was extra extra peppers maybe because she omitted the eggplant. Either way the best part of this visit was the valet guy ! The restaurant is nice the decor is nice lots of tvs showing different things but the food isn't good and I can't see what everybody is raving about. Save your money or find a better restaurant.
