This was a four course meal preceded by an extremely large antipasto buffet. From beginning to the end the food was fabulous. The entire wait and bartender staff were absolutely fantastic and took care of everyone's needs with a smile. A special shout out to Joe and Claudia who were a delight. Their professionalism and kindness went above and beyond. I would give the Stone House 5 stars for any type of party or dinning experience.

The restaurant was quiet when we arrived and we were seated at a wonderful table overlooking the lake. The setting felt relaxed and welcoming--perfect for both a special date night and family gathering. Service Our party included a 1-year-old, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. The servers were friendly, attentive, and helped make the experience easy and enjoyable. Food The food was solid across the board. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and flavorful. We ordered the calamari, vegetable pasta with added chicken, pork chop, steak, and spicy seafood. The standout dish was definitely the pork chop, but every dish was enjoyable. Overall This is a great spot for a special occasion or a family meal. Between the beautiful lake views, welcoming service, and good food, we had a very pleasant experience. I would recommend it and would happily return when I'm in the area again.

SECOND, the food is just as amazing! I was so happy hahah. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a restaurant for more than just their food. We came here for my boyfriend's parent's anniversary and the server's were wonderful and honestly very thoughtful as well! They were very attentive to our table and refilled our waters often. I also say this because when my bf's parents ordered the halibut to split, they had brought out their meal in two individual plates that were beautifully plated, you would think they ordered separately! They also took our group picture! :) We ordered 2 orders of the Basement Snacks: For Two, 2 orders of their raw oysters for appetizers. For my entree I ordered the Shrimp Carbonara Rossa with a side of Asparagus. Everything was so good. Their buffalo wings were perfectly marinated and not too saucy, their ribs were so tender and the meat fell straight off the bone! My carbonara was also delicious. For dessert they even gave an anniversary treat which was so sweet. I ordered a Chocolate Cappuccino which was also great. 11/10! Wonderful and would recommend.

We had a lovely night out with a couple who are our long time and good friends and we looked forward to this evening! However, there was a problem at the beginning of the evening that is unacceptable... my husband went to park the car, our friends were waiting at the bar for us, I walked in first. My friend ordered me an Aperol Spritz and my husband a diet coke. My husband does not drink and has been very successful with his sobriety for many years. The bartender, (I later found out her name is Maureen and apparently she is a manager there), misunderstood the drink order so my friend reiterated that we wanted a diet coke and an Aperol Spritz (two separate drinks). The "diet coke" arrived in a soda glass with a lemon wedge (just like a diet coke would) and the Aperol Spritz arrived in a cocktail glass. My husband took a sip of the "diet coke" and asked me if it tasted like there was liquor in it. Sure enough there was. We immediately returned it and the other bartender confirmed that it was a mix of Aperol Spritz with diet coke in the soda glass. My husband confronted the bartender and told her about her grievous mistaken and full disclosure, he said this is a "big f$%ken mistake you made". She took absolutely no responsibility for her error and shouted at him that she "was told to make a diet coke with Aperol Spritz". Truth be told, we clarified the drink order to her and why would she present the "diet coke" in a soda glass if it indeed was a cocktail. She went full "Karen mode" on him when she should have apologized. My request is that she re-trains in customer service and her ability to mix drinks! Like I said above, the food was excellent, the waiter was great, but this error is a serious error. People do make mistakes, but please acknowledge your mistakes and take care with serious issues. The dining experience was great, but I cannot give a 5 star due to the error.

The eggs Benedict were also cooked perfectly runny and each brunch plate came with some fruits and a drink of your choice. Overall everything was fresh and even the fruit selections were sweet. We spend a half hour trying to park in two spots that were too small. I recommend getting there before 5:30 or after 8 to avoid a parking nightmare. We made a reservation for 2 at 7. Recommend making a reservation. Service is slow and didn't really talk to us, the waiter was very quiet but nice. Bread and water was brought out quickly. The standout was the stuffed mushrooms. 5 stuffed mushrooms and they were not soggy at all. The sauce was light and delicate. The stuffing was like fluffy bread stuffing on thanksgiving. It had vegetables in it. Never had a stuffed mushroom this good. I got the pappardelle with veal and it was delicious. Huge portion had to take half of it home. I was expecting ground veal but no this was chunks! They were very tender and delicious. The sauce was standout. It was buttery and light at the same time, perfect red sauce. My husband got an eggplant pasta dish. It was a bit too spicy for me but he liked it. Prices are reasonable was around 75 plus tip for us. The inside is nice and cozy and airy. Really cool this place has been open for more than 100 years!

We ordered the Forest Ave roast beef sandwich and the fried shrimp appetizer with bang bang sauce. The shrimp had a nice crunch, and the bang bang sauce was good, but its flavor was a bit mild and plain; some garnish like chives can definitely elevate this appetizer further! Our sandwich unfortunately came without the bacon jam and maple bourbon, which meant it was just roast beef double dunked with Gruyère cheese. Unfortunately we didn't realize it until near the end, and although our waitress apologized and brought us a side of the bacon jam, by then we only had a quarter of it left which was a bummer. The roast beef was perfectly cooked and the gravy was rich and deliciously beefy, but the extra Au jus was a bit pricy for how little it was, where it came in the same small plastic sauce container instead of a small bowl/ceramic. I'm sure this doesn't happen often that half the sandwich ingredients were left out, so I guess we were just unlucky we didn't realize sooner, but it nonetheless detracted from our experience and we were charged the full price for the meal. Overall The Point Tavern has a lot of potential of being amazing and serve probably the best roast beef in all of Staten Island; I really wish them the best with their varied roast beef selections! What's the secret at the Point Tavern in Staten Island? They keep things simple! This review is based on my visit this past Saturday Evening - 21 June 2025. Bartender Mike is a true Mensch, if that's even possible, in a place like Staten Island, but he was truly a gem and kept the drinks flowing. This is truly a neighborhood watering hole that is frequented by many, including some friendly and beautiful teachers from the local school across the way. You are struck with an immediate vibe of friendliness and happiness, and visitors to the Point Tavern are truly treated like family. My great friend, "Uncle Anthony," and I enjoyed ourselves sitting and relaxing at the bar. There was a wide selection of draft beers on tap, and the mixed drinks were delicious. Confession: I made the "Shlep" to investigate this "Suspicious" Roast Beef Sandwich. My suspicions were confirmed--amazing, Juicy, Tender, and savory. Sandwiches are made to order and tailored to the customer's likely preferences. The kitchen got it right on the first shot and got me my "Kosher" Roast Beef Sandwich. Trust me, its worth the visit.
