It's located in a strip mall right off of Hawthorne boulevard. It looks like an Indian grocery store but there are hot foods and a kitchen in the back. There are also a couple tables with chairs if you care to eat there. I ordered garlic naan and saag paneer and lentils The owner is very nice and we chatted a bit while I waited for the naan to be cooked. He also said the chair tea was free so of course I had some but man did it keep me up at night. My friend loves coming here to buy their samosas. Each of these vegetable dishes has their own personality and profile, the lentils have a little spice, perfectly cooked, smooth with a few small pieces of lentils. The eggplant is rich in umami, almost like a roasted meat. The chickpeas are tender but not mushy. Indian food is hard to describe because I don't know what flavors I'm eating but trust every bite is worth it and as you dance from one dish to the next, you can't be anything but happy and excited with each flavor dancing on your tongue. This is a very small grocery store and deli that specializes in Indian cuisine. As small as this place is, they also have some of the best and most reasonably priced Indian food in the South Bay. My go to order is combo #5 for $9.99 and gives the choice of two veggies and one meat entree. The tikka masala is well balanced, deliciously spiced, and a personal favorite for the meat entree. All the veggie entree options are excellent so you can't go wrong. The combo comes with chapati but you have the option of upgrading to garlic naan for an extra fee. I highly recommend getting some samosas as well as the the potatoes are so well seasoned, they are addicting. They have a couple of tables if you want to eat there, but it is not a comfortable setting. It's best to take the food to go however, keep in mind that the entrées can shift during your travel home as the meal it's not well -packaged. I I couldn't get a good photo because the entrees have moved around. Customer service is stoic at best. Don't expect too much assistance or explanation as to what each dishes are. I was craving Indian food, and I watched to try more Indian restaurants in the area. I came across All Indian Sweets and Snacks and decided to order the staples (that I tend to get at any Indian restaurant): lamb biryani and saag paneer, for comparison. Delivery arrived quickly, and I was soon ready to dig in. Lamb biryani was fragrant and full of flavor: even hours after eating it, the smell remained throughout the house. No complaining, though! My only qualms are that the lamb was a bit tough and grisly, and the rice was way too oily: I think if a quarter of oil were cut down, the biryani would've been a lot better (and less heavy). The saag paneer was full of paneer (which I love), but otherwise, it wasn't any different compared to other saag paneers I've had. Nothing to write home about; just your standard saag paneer. I appreciated the small, spicy pickled vegetables that came on the side. Overall, decent Indian food that did the trick, and portion sizes were so huge that I made three meals out of it! read more

Its a long pending review for this place. I specifically want to write this review to talk about two items that I always order from this place. I have known and been to this place for several years now since I moved into to Torrance back in 2009. Small shop with constant moving crowd, plenty of to-go orders and service is quick. You get free tea and dont miss it, make sure you serve one for yourself when you are there for to-go or dining. Ok, I have been time and again ordering the 'Bhindi Masala' and the 'Shahi Paneer' forever now. When we are feeling like getting the curries from outside and doing the roti/paratha at home, we always prefer this option. My kids love the Shahi paneer and it is definitely one of the best you will have. It is flavorful, tasty and fresh. The Bhindi Masala is the best one I have had in any Indian restaurants period. Yes, it is little bit on the greasy side, but hey come on, once in a while trying to derail from 'healthy' options is Ok. I could eat this Bhindi Masala with roti, paratha, rice and just by itself too. I love it that much. I've driven by a million times, and I've never gone inside. I'm an idiot. Its the most affordable meal for miles, and the menu has variety of highlights from both the north and the south. I always love Dosa Masala, and they make a great pancake tube and a really smooth soft potato. The Sambar is a dip with a little burn, and I'm just so excited that they have Idli. My Lunch Special veggie platter has a smooth Daal Makhni, the Channa Masala is a little sweeter with tomato, and the Malai Kofta are a great veggie meatball in a creamy pool. You just have to get the Gulab Jamun to end things on a super sweet note, though a single order just isn't enough. What I love about South Indian food is that you can eat so much without the feeling of gross regret. The taste is big and the spice profile is delightfully complex.
