This review is long overdue. Stopped in Vegas before the 4th of July weekend and was heading back to California. I needed a belt replacement and looked for shops near by, called and got a quote from his wife and was able to come in within 2 hours. So glad I went with this choice!! I first met Vanya and Ray on a Sunday when my sisters car broke down at a shopping center. We called several repair shops but they were closed. When calling Rays Auto Shop, Vanya answered the phone. She arranged for a tow truck to pick up the car and by Monday morning Ray had repaired the vehicle. Since then, about five years ago, we have used Ray for all our family and friends vehicles. Ray and Vanya are always friendly, accommodating, expeditious and very reasonably priced. Ray has been able to fix everything from engine problems to a broken van sliding door. BEWARE They will keep your car for days and do absolutely nothing to it. Kept my car for two days even though I told them I had a funeral and needed to drive out of state. Promised to have it fixed before I had to leave. Ended up missing the day I had to drive out because they still had my car, didn't respond to me all day until past 6pm, mind you I told them I had to leave early in the morning and they said it'll be ready, when they finally did respond I was told they basically 1) kept my car for days for no reason 2) couldn't fix the problem 3) missed my aunts viewing because I was waiting on them to do nothing 4) and was told they put an extra 500 miles on my car for testing and that's why it took so long MIND YOU my car didn't have 500 more miles on it obviously you would notice and see that And I'm convinced they hadn't touch my days in days And knew they weren't gonna have it ready when I needed it and like they promised I'm sure nothing was done that whole time and they just had me pick up my car because I had to keep calling about it I could of said my goodbyes if they from the jump said they were clueless in what they were doing... First of all, I have lived in Las Vegas my entire life and I am 61. I have NEVER had a mechanic as thorough, honest, polite and reasonable as Ray!! My car broke down on a Saturday late in the afternoon. I looked online for a shop to have the car towed to. Ray was the only shop that answered and waited for us to have the car towed to his shop. On Monday morning Vaughn called with the diagnosis and within two hours the car was ready to be picked up!! The problem was the fuel pump needed to be replaced. Ray diagnosed the problem, got the part and had it fixed within two hours. Vaughn also sent me prices of three different places that had the fuel pump in stock to show me the cost difference. I can't believe I finally found an honest and reasonable mechanic in Las Vegas. PLEASE see Ray and Vaughn if you need any vehicle repairs.
