These guys are knowledgeable, honest and super nice! When I first started coming to Raymond Automotive, probably 20 years ago, I brought my car in for an oil leak. They took a look and told me to buy an oil pan to park over and made sure I knew how to check my oil and refill it. They explained that, with an older car, oil leaks were pretty common and that they could fix the small leak, but another could happen at any time. They could have just fixed it and then given me that explanation when I returned with another leak. But, rather than just make money, they educated me and saved me money. I've been coming to them ever since. They've done a great job fixing and maintaining my cars since then, always with a way better price than the dealership. read more

I'm always leary and distrusting of auto shops because all chain shop including dealers are lying thieves. A few years ago the transmission went out in my F150 with only 55K miles and there was no way I was going to pay almost $6K to the dealer for the same flawed design. i was told about Jasper transmissions and Jasper sent me to Raymond Automotive. The whole fee was only $3K and here we are a couple years later and all is well. Time to get some maintenance on my wife's hyundai so I went back to the Raymond brothers. Turns out the car needed a bit more work than i expected but due to their sincerity, I've grown to trust these two and again I walked away a happy customer. A few months later my F150 began behaving strangly and it seemed similar to the previous tranny failure. I took it to Raymonds and they fought to figure it out. Ford disables any code reader from reading active diagnostics so these guys went out and spent several thousand on a Ford OBD reader and finally diagnosed the problem. I was very shocked that these guys didn't say 'sorry, nothing we can do'. They performed a full tune-up, got the front end aligned and didnt even charge me for some of the extra time they spent diagnosing the problem. As I mentioned, I'm a very distrusting person, but these guys are awesome and I will absolutely recommend them to EVERYONE!! The dont try to sell you things are arent needed nor do they try to pressure you into anything. Dont take your car here. Had 3 engines pulled and sent back to jasper, the smashed up my rocker panel and tried to say I hit a curb. The all my engine powered coating they messed up so bad that I had to get it all re powered coated which cost me more money. Then they bottomed my cobra out and messed up my chin lip spoiler, my x pipe and my slp exhaust. They also messed up my hood when the took it off and put it back on and didn't align it correctly. Causing it to damage my hood latch, and scraping up the fiber glass and paint job. It's like they threw this car back together after engine installment didn't torque anything to speck, and did about 7k with of damage to my body. That's not to mention the damage they did in the engine bay. Didn't install my short ram intake with filter , it was loose and making loud noises come to find out. They didn't even tighten it down. I had tools left in my engine bay when I got home I heard something bouncing off my fan, it was a 10mm socket. They lost parts and put metal screws hold my radiator extended Reservoir causing it to crack, so al in all had to replace more stuff they damaged and they tried to say it was all my fault. I had the car painted about a year ago. The engine powered coating months before they worked on it. So car people please be aware of this shop that they so call know how to work oncars. 0/5 for phone consultation. Initial customer service experience was bad. I know my review probably doesn't matter but oh man, John needs a customer service training or i don't know but maybe he's having a rough day, still not acceptable. He was more concerned about his lunch time than anything else. I called to get a quote. First thing he asked was if he's the only shop I've called. I said no, I've called another place, which was wheel works. He then asked if I'm just trying to find the cheapest shop, I said yes. Who wouldn't want an affordable fix? What's the harm in calling to find out prices? I honestly wouldn't even know what's cheap or not since I've only called one shop. He then insist that "if i'm being cheap" they are not the shop for me because they are a two-man shop (Keep in mind that I never gave him any information about prices besides the make and model of my car and to confirm that i've called another place so for him to assume that I can't afford his fix was sort of disrespectful -- like come on, you're a local shop, not a multi-million dollar business). I just said "okay", still waiting for the quote. Long silence...then wow this person really just told me off, said goodluck finding a shop and then clicked. He probably assumed i'm not willing to pay or I guess i'm wasting his lunch hour. I called back. I told him, "so if someone referred me to you and you guys are a bit expensive than most but you're work is great, of course i'll be willing to go to you guys". I wasn't even trying to bargain with him or ask for a discount. I called to ask for HIS PRICES, no ifs or buts or maybes! but no i guess those prices are too good for me lol. He then went on to tell me why i shouldn't go to them if i'm trying to find the cheapest shop... bad marketing strategy there. He then goes... well let me eat my lunch and i'll give you a call back, what's your name. I've had it and just told him to enjoy his lunch and just ended the conversation there. ADVICE FOR JOHN: Even if you are not the cheapest in the market, there are other ways to draw customers for instance CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you do great work, then let that speak and people like me would be willing to pay for that great work, no matter the price is... but with your customer service. NO THANKS. I've encountered a couple bad customer service experiences before but nothing like this... I've worked in customer service before so I know how to approach people with nothing but respect especially if i'm the one calling for help. Clearly, they really don't care about their business making profit. I'll take my money somewhere else, i'm sure with all these 5 stars on his yelp, he's getting a lot of business and who cares about mine :) read more

I am SO thankful for Raymonds Automotive. My car had broke down and I had Clayton Valley Shell repair it, initially, as they were the closest garage to where my car had broke down. HUGE MISTAKE. $733 later, I picked up my car, drove it home and broke down, yet again. Thankfully, my mother, who has been using Raymond's automotive for years had me tow it to them. They were AWESOME. They took the time to PROPERLY diagnose my car and give it back to me actually fixed. Now, my car runs and feels great! Like its showroom new! The Raymond Bros. have been our go-to guys for our cars for at least 40 years. I have moved to WA and truly miss being able to get their help when I need it. You will be 100% satisfied with the care and work done to your automobile. They will do the work that needs to be done.
