    Espresso Martini

Last Sunday, I discovered Raza's brunch--but more importantly, I discovered the most delicious espresso martini, perfectly crafted by Ovidiu! I've been to Raza's several times for dinner, drinks, and appetizers, and the food and service have always been great. But brunch took the experience to another level. The menu is trendy without trying too hard, the food tastes as good as it looks, and the breakfast cocktail menu is the perfect complement. I highly recommend giving Raza's brunch a try--and if you're lucky, you'll get Ovidiu as your waiter. And definitely order the espresso martini!

Went on Father's Day for dinner, and I was surprisingly amazed at how good my experience was. Everything was top tier, from ambiance to the service to the food. The hostess and greeting staff made me feel welcomed upon walking in the door. They even engaged with my young son and his Rubik's cube while we waited to be seated (extra points for that!) I ordered their Calamari and Shrimp Cocktail to start. The Calamari was crisp and super tender, while the Shrimp were cooked to perfection. For the entree, I had the "Essence of Asia", "Dry-Aged Salmon", Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and the Brussel Sprouts. All in all, this is just my kind of place! I can't wait to come back for their Sunday brunch.

I went to Raza's for a Friday lunch meeting, which is how many small human dramas begin. It was noon when the doors opened and inside stood one poor young man tasked with running the entire dining room by himself. This was not a metaphor. This was a fact. And yet he performed a yeoman's job, moving from table to table with the calm bravery of someone who has accepted his fate and decided to try his best to do right by strangers anyway. The room itself was lovely, still dressed up for the holidays like a house that refuses to admit the season has moved on. It was pleasant to sit there and feel briefly insulated from the outside world, which was surely still doing whatever it does to people who skip lunch. I ordered the Wild Mushroom Risotto. It was delicious, earthy and comforting, the sort of dish that suggests someone in the kitchen cares. The portion, however, was modest for the price, leaving me fed but contemplative. My companions ordered a Caesar salad with salmon and a wedge salad with chicken, and both appeared content, which is often the highest praise one can expect at midday. With tip, the bill came to about one hundred dollars for three people at lunch, which felt a bit steep for what landed on the table. There is no crime in that, but it does linger in the mind afterward. So here we are. A good meal, a kind and overworked server, a pleasant room, and food that was enjoyable but not generous. Given the abundance of good eating options nearby, it will probably be a while before I return. I do not regret going. I am simply aware that time, money, and lunches are all finite things. Which is something worth remembering anywhere you eat, including places you like.

Beautiful restaurant with nice fireplace, contemporary fare decoration and bar area. Special detail for good food and a nice dining experience. A great restaurant for Lunch and Dinner.

Food was amazing from the attention as we walked in to the care of our food and drinks. I went with a few co workers and it was great! We share a few apps and everyone got their own meal & dessert is a must! We got a special drink by the older brought out to the table. Delicious is the word of describing it. Definitely love with an experience and can't wait to come back to create more mouthful memories. Such a great restaurant to go out with family, friends or significant others. The atmosphere is just perfect for their warm perfect meal.

The food was phenomenal! Very tasty, however the portions were small for the appetizers and it's more on the pricey side hence the 4 stars. The restaurant is very modern and clearly newly built! Service was great however it was pretty empty when we were here.

Beautiful place. Sweet service. Nice decoration and design. The food was pretty. I ordered a $16 salad it had squash pretty and tasty. My son had a burger pretty yummy. My husband had the pork chop also tasty. The problem was the prices were expensive for the quantity of food. The black coffee alone was $13 each which I thought was a lot. Usually when places serve tiny portions as this place did they give nice complimentary bread and this place did not. Do not think we will be back. We all left hungry for $100. lol

TLDR: great food if you're looking for a special night out! My family came here for the holidays and really enjoyed our time here. The overall setting was very pretty, although a bit noisy. The waiters and staff were all extremely attentive and friendly, adding to the experience. In terms of dishes, our favorites were definitely the calamari, duck breast, scallops, and chocolate cake :) The halibut chowder was a bit salty and heavy for our taste and the salmon was good but nothing worth writing about. Would definitely come back again though!

Charging 8 dollars for bread that should be complimentary. Greedy.

We started off with 3 different apps, the zucchini fritte, the meat and cheese board for two, and the rice balls. Everything was phenomenal! The rice balls were stuffed with shredded beef instead of ground beef which I liked and the Gorgonzola cheese sauce was tangy and savory. The zucchini fritte was fried to a golden crisp and felt light and satisfying. The meat and cheese board is truly perfect for pairing with some pre-dinner drinks! Neither of us felt like drinking that night so I got the Stella Rose red berry spritz and she got the black berry spritz. These were fruity and sweet and perfect for a night out. Great alcohol free options. For dinner I got the cacio e pepe which came in a huge serving. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and I really liked how creamy and cheesy it was without feeling too heavy. My friend got the eggplant rollatini which was a humongous portion and she devoured it and still had some for leftovers. These were both great meat-free options. For dessert I had the chocolate lava cake which was rich and decadent. Perfect for sharing but mine was all for me! My friend had the creme brûlée which she indulged on without a single bite to spare! Can't forget to mention the impeccable service! Our server Andres was so sweet and took excellent care of us and always checked in with us. I'm so glad I finally checked out Spigola! This is a perfect restaurant for a great meal. I literally said to myself as I drove around Somerville that I wish there was a wine or cocktail bar for...mature people like myself to chill at. So I looked up wine bars and boom - VintEdge was right down the street. I came in around 9pm, picked a comfy seat by the window, and ordered. Can you believe I had never had an espresso martini until that evening?? So my first was a pumpkin espresso martini. Well I may have had 2. And another drink. Ahem. The service was great, not fussy, and I wasn't rushed even as we approached last call. Visit 2: having heard about my great experience there alone, my cousin arranged to meet me there last week. This isn't just a place to eat, it's the kind of old-school establishment that's been around long enough to have stories. You can feel the past in the wood-paneled atmosphere, the classic bar, and the sense that generations of locals have gathered here over good food and long conversations. There's a subtle throwback vibe that hints at Trenton's more colorful eras, the kind of place where, decades ago, important conversations might've happened over steaks and drinks rather than phone calls and emails. It has that timeless, no-frills charm: confident, comfortable, and unapologetically traditional. The food is solid, hearty, and satisfying, classic dishes done right, with portions that don't mess around. Service is professional and respectful, like they've learned over the years that consistency and discretion matter. You're treated well, but without any forced friendliness, just genuine hospitality the old way. If you appreciate historic spots with character, where the walls could probably talk and the traditions still matter, Homestead Restaurant is a must-visit. Five stars for keeping that classic Trenton legacy alive.

I haven't been to this site since it was Dublin Square which was a long time ago. Some of the layout changed. They no longer have the old bar separated from the dining area. Callie was our server and did a great job. I was there with some friends from SC. We started by ordering the large pretzel which comes out on a pretzel hanger along with some beer cheese for dipping. They also use that hanger for bacon. The pretzel was enough for 4 of us. I ordered the wings and selected Nashville Hot and Hog Sauce as my flavors. They claim they sell by the pound ($15.50) but it ends up being 8 wings. If you want to split flavors, they make it dry and bring the sauce on the side for dipping. Luckily the Nashville Hot is a dry rub. It was very good and not too spicy. The Hog Sauce is a combo of Buffalo and Garlic which was excellent. The wings themselves were plump, juicy and crispy. Five stars. Plenty of parking. Some tables available outside for outdoor seating when it ever gets nice in NJ. Bathrooms were very clean. You may find some little pink pigs around. Not sure if they're complimentary, but my wife took the one that was next to our table. My only complaint is they have too many of their draft beers designated for only 10 oz pours even with low ABV. I had a Kane Head High which was in a 16 oz glass. They also use OpenTable for reservations which I used as well.

The kitchen dominates the back of the restaurant with a huge pizza oven and white tiles all around, and a clean bright fresh look, as you pass by to use the restroom. Overall it was fine but not incredibly memorable. We were seated at the strange 6-top table right inside the front door. Like people almost have to shimmy past you to get inside. The service was okay but not great. On the plus side, when we ordered something it came on the quicker side and also later in the meal the manager came by and checked on us. On the meh side there were long periods without being checked on by our server and I feel like I knew a bit more about the menu from reading it than they did. The best thing we ordered was the pretzel. The rest of the food was just alright. Bang bang cauliflower was crispy but battered in what actually tasted like a more dense funnel cake batter and had a twang of fryer oil that was on the cusp of needing to be changed. The sauce was flat. Cheesesteak egg rolls were not good. Soggy (again the fryer oil) and the prevailing flavor was green peppers. (Where I come from a cheesesteak guarantees shaved ribeye, American or Cooper sharp cheese and possibly fried onions but green peppers I would say crosses a line) Mozzarella sticks were mid. Truthfully the extremely long and skinny plates the apps came out on were just annoying. I'm sure the dish and kitchen staff can't stand washing them and plating the food on them either. Just buy some oval or round plates bruh. The cocktails were fine but uninspired. I ordered a peach old fashioned... Bulleit was the brand of bourbon and there was supposed to be peach bitters, peach syrup and "fresh peach" but it came out again a little on the underwhelming side without much peach flavor and the "fresh peach" nowhere to be found. (I expected perhaps a slice of fresh peach?) I didn't take a picture of the cocktail menu but I feel like it many have been like $16 for a subpar drink. Don't mind paying even $20 for a cocktail if it's executed correctly. We tried a blueberry mule off of the mocktails menu but asked to have Tito's added. It was good and properly served in a copper mug with a sprig of fresh mint. There was some live music, a guy singing and playing a guitar which was a nice touch. I appreciated that we could still have dinner conversation and the music wasn't dominating the room- it was more complimentary to the dining experience. In fairness our time there was all apps and some cocktails. We did not try the entrees. I wonder if they would have been executed upon at a higher level. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Had some neat (copper?) sinks with waterfall faucets. In a day and age where things are expensive, you gotta be firing on all cylinders to stand out as a place for folks to drop their hard earned money for a night out. It was alright here... But I don't know if I would choose to come back over other options. It landed between two and half stars and three stars for me.
