We went to eat here Friday night and our waitress was FANTASTIC! We ordered Rat Toes, the fondue and boudin balls to start of with. Everything was delicious except the Rat Toes were very spicy. You could only taste the jalapeño and that was it. The taste of the seafood inside was completely absent. We also ordered drinks and they were huge and delicious, an absolute must! For an entree, we shared the combo skillet with the shrimp creole, crawfish étouffe, sausage and red beans and rice. It also came with corn but it was very mushy, not really edible. The shrimp creole was somewhat flavorless but everything else was absolutely perfect! I can't wait to go again. Overall, the bill fell around $50 for all of that. read more

This place was good but wish it had more flavor. As a place that pushes how authentic their food is I feel it was definitely dulled down on the seasoning. What I mean is I ordered the boudin balls, I LOVE boudin and order it whenever I see it on a menu. I expected it to have a bit of the liver and a good amount of rice and green onions/seasonings, but it tasted more like fried hot breakfast sausage ball. I also got the plate that has 3 different things including shrimp creole, andouille sausage, red beans and rice, and crawfish etouffee, and again it was bland of spices and it bummed me out. Maybe I just went on a bad day but not sure. If you wanna try cajun, creole and don't like it spicy then this is a great place to get the fix. read more

Service was very slow, but The food was good. I'm just very disappointed with a couple of their policies. I ordered a cup of coffee, when I requested a refill. I was informed that they charge for every cup. Only tea and soda has unlimited refills. Never have I ever had a reputable restaurant not serve coffee, tea & water with refills. Then to top it off, I asked about a military appreciation/civil service discount that I have received at Razoos in other cities however, This Razoos has decided that they don't share that appreciation. This was our first time to Razzoos. It was busy but fortunately we got in quite quickly. Had a great waiter who was very attentive and helpful - his name was Brady! Food came out quickly and was surprisingly good. We will go back. We had a great experience! Be sure to try the stuffed shrimp. It's delicious! Not sure if this was due to the kitchen or what but it was too slow. Worse, the food was very mediocre. Have not been here in awhile. Was never a fan, but this trip was different. Service and food was exceptional! Will be back!

We waited quite a while for our server to come to our table. Once she finally arrived, she took our drink orders. We also ordered three appetizers to go along with it. We waited for about 15 minutes and our appetizers came out before our drinks (our drinks were not all fully from the bar either so I can't blame the bar for her delay). When we finally saw our drinks come out our server put them on an empty table behind us as she served another table across the way. We just sat there looking at our drinks on an empty table while she was tending to what they were needing. We didn't want to seem rude and grab our drinks ourselves so we waited. Finally when she was done she came to our table to hand us our drinks and take our food order. My husband, myself, my mom, and my brother all ordered a burger with how we would like it cooked as well as what toppings we would like to come on it. When the food came out all four of our burgers were like hockey pucks.. basically black, hard and very dry. My husband 's, mine and my brother's were all missing some ingredients that were ordered with it so we just sat there staring at our food for another 5 to 10 minutes while our server had to grab what we were missing. My brother also had to send his burger back because he ordered it medium rare and came out extremely overdone twice! Just like the rest of ours. Oh and did I mention that my sister-in-law didn't even get the chance to eat her food with us because her salad came out wrong and she had to wait about 30 minutes for them to remake a salad? The dinner was coming to an end and all four of us who had ordered the burgers decided we no longer wanted to eat our food. They were so incredibly dry and chard that we couldn't handle taking another bite. Our server apologized once (only for my brothers burger being overdone) and offered to pay for ONE of our desserts, but why would we want dessert when our food was absolute trash? She didn't even bother to bring the manager over nor did she even bother to offer to comp off my sister-in-law and brother's food for the mistake. Apparently they addressed the issues, and that is the whole purpose of Yelp...to let the place know of issues and it gives them an opportunity for correction. I wouldn't say that I'm a connoisseur of cajun food but I enjoyed Razzoo's. The ambience is decent- they have very glossy big TV screens and happened to be playing the UT vs Iowa game, since I went to UT for undergrad this might have earned them an extra 1/2 star ;). We sat at the bar- a modern looking sleek U-shape right in the middle of the room, and you can watch the bartenders make the drinks. We got the stuffed shrimp, stuffed fish, a pasta dish, beers, and maker's mark. The food is great, not life changing, but satisfactory, rich, and filling. The wait staff is very courteous, friendly, and helpful. I enjoyed the menus (see picture); it has a lot of attitude. They have a large menu, drink menu, and their desserts looked pretty bomb (did not actually try though). Drinks were good; they do not skimp. It's a little bit on the pricey side for Lubbock but everything seems to be going up these days. read more

We went on a Saturday night around 8pm and wanted to have apps and drinks and really just enjoy a new place in Lubbock . My girlfriend works for Texas CPS and spends her days finding placements for children that are in the Child Protection Services system so chilling with a margarita is what she does to wind down , not here We sat at the bar and there came a family with 2?small (under 8 ) sitting at the bar next to us ? When is it ok to take your children into and sit at the bar ? We spoke to a manager and pretty much were laughed at like it wasn't any big deal ! This is a red light for this place and obviously thinks it OK , we will keep going to Jazz from now on , they have been here over 30 years and you should look at them as a responsible role mode as a restaurant and bar ! read more

I'm conflicted about this place. I spent many a summer days eating crawfish and drinking cold beers on the patio at the Lewisville location. The service at this location was attentive and friendly even with as busy as it was and there are no complaints from any of us regarding that. The interior is pretty much the same as other Razoo's locations. A little cramped in the bar area but at least we were seated quickly. Unfortunately, the food was bland and not at all as I remember it in Dallas. The prices are ridiculous for the portion sizes as well. The truth of the matter is "Walk Ons" has better flavor, larger portions and better prices. I'd rather spend my money there. DO NOT waste your money on the "gator bites" here. Absolutely not worth it. I was extremely disappointed. Overall, good service is about the only saving grace here. read more

The music is WAY to loud. My wife and I are in our early 20's and it made us have to yell across the table to hear each other. We ordered the gator bites and were disappointed that we got a mound of fries and very few gator bites. The dishes we ordered were massive with fillers and low on main protein. Chicken, Shrimp, Catfish etc.... I got the chicken and andouille gumbo in the cup size. Not only was this served in a bowl big enough to make a meal, but it also was no where near authentic with how much it over spiced the dish. Our server never asked once if we would like a "to go box" for our obviously uneaten heeps of food. You are better off making some hamburger helper and throwing some creole seasoning on it or visiting any other Cajun restaurants in the area other than visiting this establishment. Service was great: all of the servers were friendly, personable, quick, and efficient. Drinks: bayou breeze and hurricane on the rocks. Both were very good drinks and good sizes for the prices. Be careful with the hurricane- though delicious, it was surprisingly strong! (Full support there) Food: boudin balls, chicken and andouille gumbo, the Cajun platter, and Cajun fried chicken. I got to go, so of course I wasn't expecting the kind of fresh quality that you would get while dining in. However, I was VERY surprised, and in a good way. Even though my order sat in their containers for a good while, the crisp foods were still crisp, and everything is delicious. Also, I thought it was a very nice presentation, which is VERY surprising for a to go order. Much nicer presentation, containers, and flavors than other Cajun I've had around town. Went last night for husband's birthday. They were out of grilled gator but had the fried appetizer. On the entrees, all meals that came with green beans (the other thing we greatly look forward to) came with corn on the cob because they were out of green beans. The waiter pulled up the screen to show us how much stuff they were out of, it was ridiculous. Last time we went (pre-covid) they were out of salmon so this isn't a new thing. Call ahead to ask if they actually have your meal items in stock. We were brought the wrong appetizer. When we asked for some Tabasco sauce and ketchup. It took 2 minutes to get the ketchup, the Tabasco took 10 minutes. By the time we got the sauce the food was cold. The waiter literally spent every interaction we had apologizing. Rest assured though, they had no problem charging us full price for everything despite the disappointment in the lack of menu options. We only go out to eat once or twice a year. To say this was disappointing is an understatement. My husband didn't get any of the main items he was looking forward to. The last thing of note, everything on their menu tastes the same. All that changes is the texture of the meat. It doesn't matter what you order. read more

The staff was nice when we sat down (just me and my partner), but as the dinner went on, we had like 3 different servers, and they were not very welcoming. Was very patient and tried to understand, but there was only about 4 tables around us that were filled. Food came out fast, but was over-seasoned and not worth the price. Paid way too much for the amount of food I got. All I can say is; do not go here expecting a good casual sit down dinner. This is shack-level service, un-reputable food, and the waitresses just stand around talking at the front of the check-in counter instead of getting back to you within ten-fifteen minutes. This is all said with the notion of the environment: Friday night, not very busy at all, only had about 4 tables around us filled. Not worth the price at all. Try somewhere else. Ate lunch here today. Our first visit to a Razzoo's but will definitely NOT be our last! This was our second choice for eating out today and we are so glad that our first choice had such a long wait.... Our server was Chance. Very nice, polite and knowledgeable in regard to the menu items. He made several suggestions and we were thankful for that. I had the Combo Platter. Fried shrimp, catfish and crawfish tails. It came with fries and cole slaw. The first thing that stood out was that even though it was a FRIED platter, NOTHING was greasy!! A definite plus!. The catfish fillets (2) were lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. Both the shrimp and crawfish tails were outstanding as well. It came with three dipping sauces one of which was a "cherry mustard." It was oh so tasty!! And even though I am not a big cole slaw fan it tasted wonderful and my wife loved it as well. The platter cost $17.99 but believe you me there is a lot of food to eat. Will definitely eat this again. She had the stuffed shrimp over rice. One of Chance's suggestions. GOOD CHOICE. She had them hold off on the Cajun sauce because she doesn't tolerate spicy food well. She said it was some of the best stuffed shrimp she has ever eaten. Was only able to finish about half of it. Got a to go box for a nice snack later.... Got some bread pudding to go. Man it was the icing on the cake for sure. Before leaving we asked to speak to the Manager. A very nice lady named Allison came out to our table. We told her that we wanted her to know what a good experience we had and how well Chance had taken care of us. Allison was very courteous and gracious as well. First time trying Razzoo's and the food was great! Loved the pasta and shrimp, everything tasted delicious. However, this was some of the WORST service I have ever had. We ate around 7pm and it was not busy. Our waiter, Jack, kept forgetting to bring straws, after we had asked at least twice for them. At one point my fiancé asked for a refill, he took the cup and never came back with his drink. After waiting about 10 minutes we flagged down another waiter who brought us refills and straws without us asking for some. Once our waiter finally came back to our table, we got the check, and then found out that you don't get free refills on soda. Which seems like something that should have been mentioned beforehand.
