Everything was so good! If you are intimidated by the alligator, don't be. I tried it for the first time and it blew my mind away at how delicious it was. The rat toes "jalapeno poppers" were decent. I just had oysters for dinner and snacked on an app- I'm not positive what it was called because it had both the fried pickle chips and the jalapeños. I only had the pickles but they were... a little bit like eating pickle slices wrapped in a brown paper sack. No ziedago dancer on the desert menu. Crawfish were good. Oysters were good but no small fork to help them out of shell. We had no wait time, our host(ess) were both very polite and wonderful, upon arriving I was also greeted by the GM, Morgan, she was so sweet and made sure we were taken care of! We ordered the new canal street combo, which had fried pickles, fried jalapenos, and fried bounding balls. It was so good! Our second appetizer was the cajun fondue with shrimp, this one took me out! It comes with garlic bread. You have to try this one for sure if you're in the area! I had the blackened tilapia with dirty rice, and green beans. It's topped with a creole sauce, and three blackened shrimp, it was very tasteful and the portion size was great! Our waitress came to ask for our drink and food order at the same time and the food took 25 full minutes to come out. The restaurant was not busy. The shrimp was the worst I have ever been served. The wait to be seated can be a real turn off, but I will say it is a large restaurant and time goes by quickly when you have good company. Somewhat like a Walk-ons, the menu offers cajun specialties. Atmosphere was nice, plenty of TVs, and lots of space for big groups. On this visit, we went with a large group of 7, and had a bit of trouble with the service. We ordered appetizers and were brought 6 plates, it took forever to flag down the server and for her to bring an additional plate. When the food came out, empty plates were not removed, we were missing one order and one order was missing side. On the other hand, the food was really tasty. Now, after having lunch here I did get sick, but I can't say for certain if it was the food, because I don't know if anyone else had the same reaction. So I'm not sure I would recommend eating here at this point. I think I would probably give it another try but not any time soon. read more

When I came back I was welcomed in by Javier. Although he is a Barcelona fan (I am a Madrid fan and always will be) he was kind and made sure that I ordered the best food on the menu - I got the Zydeco Chicken Pasta and it's great! I ordered "no spice" option for crab legs. I was brought spicy legs and shrimp (I did not order shrimp) I took a bite hoping it wasn't spicy. It set my very sensitive mouth on fire. The waitress was very apologetic and asked if I would like her to have my order done over. The manager came to my table and said she was sorry. I waited a few minutes and the manager came back out with the same plate of food and told me it didn't have spice on it that it was just in the water they were cooked in. I could clearly see spice sprinkled all over. I was supposed to have red potatoes and corn. I got corn and no potatoes. I realize that this is a Cajun restaurant but when they have a "no spice" option on the menu then that's what it should be. I would not have ordered it otherwise. I normally just get raw oysters (which we did) and a salad (which I did). Those are my "safe" food options. I want my husband to be able to enjoy Cajun food when he can so opt for the safe foods. They did not make it right. I do not plan to return. The waitress was not at fault and did a great job but she couldn't go against the very inept manager. This establishment has so much potential to be 5 stars in my book. Sadly, Razzoo's did not live up to our expectations. We arrived and sat down at a booth by the window. We waiting quite a while to be greeted by our server. He immediately asked if we were ready to order, never introducing himself, so we are still unsure of his name. After he took our food order, we never saw him again. He did not deliver our food himself, he did not check to see if our food came out as ordered, nor did he ask how the food came out. The next time we saw him, he simply placed the check on the table and walked away without saying a word. He did not consider offering dessert or boxes to take our leftovers. It is disheartening to see a restaurant with great food and terrible customer service. We ordered drinks, The Worm Burner and the Ragin' Rita. They were phenomenal! We ordered Rat Toes as an appetizer, which were stuffed jalapeños with shrimp and crab, highly recommend. For our main course, we ordered the Stuffed Fish and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich, both of which were very delicious. The lemon butter sauce over the tilapia was incredibly creamy and very flavorful, it really tied the whole dish together. The chicken filet on the sandwich was incredibly large for the price point. We were hoping to order Peach and Pecan Bread Pudding, but were discouraged when we were denied the opportunity to order dessert with our server. Unfortunately, this experience has tarnished Razzoo's reputation for us, and we will not be returning to this establishment. My kids had chicken strips and a po'boy. Blackened chicken does not take that long to make. To add to that, I went last night with my daughter and a friend where we received top notch service from McKenzie. Razoo's is an experience! It just opened in Lubbock, and my hubs was excited! After a wait, we were seated. The music was loud, the place was crowded! Our server, Iman was swamped. She was friendly and didnt complain, but just watching, all the servers were. She took our orders and checked back as often as she could. We had the fondue appetizer. Very tasty! When out food came out, it looked good...mostly. Cajun pasta bowl is ENORMOUS, the rib plate looked delectable! The stuffed shrimp? Yum! Then came the grilled shrimp and grits. The Good: We were seated by a very sweet hostess. Then we had a very bubbly attentive waitress. We started with an appetizer of Gator Tail and it was good...not great, but good. We enjoyed it. Our drinks were good and served in a timely manner. One of us order a Cajun fried steak and while the steak itself was a bit blah, the Andouille Cream Gravy was the saving grace and would 100% eat it again. The Bad: The other order was a Cajun Combo served in a skillet. The beans were almost decent..maybe a step above boxed food , The etoufee was not recognizable as such...it was a dreary brown gravy slop with little flavor and certainly not the robust cajun seasoning you would expect. The last part of the combo was supposed to be Shrimp Creole...however it tasted much like a really bad store bought (discount) marinara...it was inedible. The restaurant was very empty for a Sunday evening and after eating the food we strongly suspect we know why. This place has soooo much potential, a great bartender and decent waitstaff. I am a frequent Razoo's diner and tonight was beyond unpleasant. The service was awful, and with the hour and half wait all I can say it wasn't worth it. My guest never got a refill on her drank the whole entire time, I would understand the issues at hand if it was busy. But when we were getting served the place looked empty. When I received my order I asked for a medium rare burger and I got a hard piece of beef jerky. I know that I'm at a Cajun restaurant and I shouldn't be ordering a burger. But if it's on your menu, it should at least be cooked right. Probably won't return because of this. Your Cooks, waiting staff and management has gone down hill and that's very unfortunate. We went to eat here Friday night and our waitress was FANTASTIC! We ordered Rat Toes, the fondue and boudin balls to start of with. Everything was delicious except the Rat Toes were very spicy. You could only taste the jalapeño and that was it. The taste of the seafood inside was completely absent. We also ordered drinks and they were huge and delicious, an absolute must! For an entree, we shared the combo skillet with the shrimp creole, crawfish étouffe, sausage and red beans and rice. It also came with corn but it was very mushy, not really edible.
