Indeed, it is true; I have succumbed to the stuffed shrimp, decadently winning bread & honestly impeccable service every time I have breezed through the doorway. Shrimp en Brochette is simply spectacular & spicy enough to tickle my taste buds yet not so inferno infused as to break a unwarranted sweat! Blackened pasta, chicken or shrimp either way; both amass with creamy, moderately spiced goodness over a bed of al dente fettuccine.... Umm... yes, please & salivating at the mention & think it will tomorrow's pick! I save the most succulent bites for last... Dessert & service are superb. Greeting & wait staff are on point, smiley, helpful & expedient! Bread pudding is moist & ohhh the sauce... I would be amiss if I did not speak of the creamy, yet maple syrup tasting & yet warms the back of the throat sauce... Not a drop of it left in in the oversized bowl!! Would give a zero if possible. Would not sit my family because we had 1 person over what they say could fit at the table. That was my 9 year old who wanted Razzoo's for her birthday. Did not offer to move two tables close together to accommodate us . Apparently they do not want any business. This is a great place to eat! Everything we ordered was great! However, just know that if u plan on drinking you will be cut off! I spent over 500 at the next stop because I was cut off by a young bartender trying to do her job! I'm not trying to trash this place because the food and atmosphere was good! Came in for a weekday lunch around 11 with my husband and were promptly seated in the 2 tops in the bar area adjacent to the patio. The restaurant was clean, open and comfortable. The glass partitions separating the bar from the patio were open (more on that later.) Haven was our waitress and she was delightful. We ordered the blackened chicken and the stuffed shrimp. Food arrived quickly and the stuffed shrimp came out in a Lodge cast iron skillet which I thought was cool. The food was tasty. One comment I would make is the rice and green beans that came with the shrimp were not warm enough. It was almost like they had sat under a weak warming area while the shrimp were finishing being prepared (because the shrimp were perfect). Another note is the music was a tad too loud, especially with a half full restaurant at 11am. When seating customers in the 2 top booths adjacent to the patio, close the glass or ask before seating parties there. When another party was seated on the other side of the partition in the patio area, it literally felt like they had been seated at our table as we could hear (and I am sure they could too) every word of their conversation. Lastly, we ordered the bread pudding. We are kind of bread pudding snobs and eat it whenever we can, but we didn't care for the bread pudding here and actually left some on the plate. Next time, we'll try the brownie dessert. We checked out the kids' menu before we left and it looks like we are set to bring the kids next time. I look forward to returning. read more

First off I would like to say, I have never been disrespected from a serve before. This is my first time eating here, and my boyfriend ask what gator taste like and I said "kinda like chicken." Well one of your serves very rudely told me "if you ate gator before and it taste like chicken, it was probably Chicken." Now listen I have eaten it plenty of times. It even says from varies people from the internet and in person that it taste like chicken. Maybe you should really re-teach your employees how to treat customers and not butt into a conversation. Hands down the best Razzoos I've been to. I ate at the other establishment in Cedar Hill, Tx & figured they'd be the same, but after moving Lubbock, finding out there's a Razzoos here & eating here I had to differ. The staff are friendly, very entertaining & engaging. The management obviously teaches them well. The food presentation is 5/5 & the food itself is a conversation on it's own. My first time there was amazing. I took my wife to celebrate our son's prom, and my wife has a food allergy, so we were hesitant. That being said, I was so impressed with the staff and management that I will definitely go back. The atmosphere was fun. The menus were unique and colorful. The food was outstanding! Had to wait a couple months before trying since they were always packed when they had just opened. My roommate and I walked in and were sat immediately, and greeted within 5 minutes. Our server was helpful and gave suggestions. We both got pasta and it was delicious!! Spent around 18 dollars for that and water. Will return for sure. read more

Finally went to go try this place with my wife. It wasn't busy at all. They sat us down at a table and I asked if we could get a booth. It took a second and they gave us a booth. Afterwards nobody came to our table for at least 5 min. We saw another couple walk in and seated at the same table they gave us earlier before I requested a booth. They had service before we did while we still waited for someone to help us. We saw about 3-4 workers just walking around near us as it wasn't too busy and nobody took the time to come to our table. Not at all what we were hoping for! It's pretty much like walk ons or gators. Food was decent but not great. We ordered the crawfish fondue and it took forever to come out then it was cold so it probably would've been better hot. I got the stuffed shrimp and again it wasn't hot at all and seemed like it had been sitting awhile. My fiancé got the fried catch fish and shrimp and said it was ok but the catfish didn't have much batter on it to be fried. Service was good our waitress was really sweet and kept checking in and keeping our drinks filled and the atmosphere was good just wish the food would've been better. Might try again after it's open for awhile but unfortunately it's nothing special from all the other places in Lubbock! read more

Stopped in on a trip to visit my daughter and college roommate. Nice change from the typical burger joint. Seated quickly and love the decor. Menu is quite colorful and need to scan it a few times to focus :) ordered blackened chicken po' boy, catfish po' boy and jalapeño sauce chicken. All really good. Service was on point and never had to ask for refills. Food came quickly and waitress was great. Nice alternative if you want something a bit different. read more

The red beans and rice are the best I have ever had. I got the skillet plate the gumbo is ok the Crawfish etouffee is fantastic the sausage is delicious. We also had boudin balls and gator both were fantastic. Highly recommend this place. read more

Went here last Saturday around 230 wasn't busy, we were seated in less than 10 minutes. Our waitress was not very attentive to us but she was to her friends who were sitting across the isle from us. There were 3-4 other waitstaff who stopped to chit chat with them also so I'm assuming they worked there at some point. My drink did not get refilled once the entire time we were there. It took almost 40 minutes to get our gator out and took even longer to get my $10 warm salad out to me.. I dont know of any place that serves a warm salad and charged that much for one. Other than that the food was great as usual but the service leaves much to be desired. I would rather drive to Dallas to have Pappadeauxs where their service is ALWAYS the best. read more

Me and my hub wanted to try this place for a while. We finally went and the food was nothing we expected. We both got the fried catfish. It was bland lightly batter, just wasn't good. Seem like low quality fish. Could've stayed at home and made catfish myself. We almost got the gator bite for appetizer and it was actually good. In town from California and heard good things about this place from a couple of people at the hotel we're staying at. Decided to give it a try. The place was very crowded and had a short wait, however the staff were very friendly and accommodating to my special request for a handicapped accessible table for the 2 seniors dining with me. The food came out quickly and very large portions. The food was good, the watermelon sweet tea was delicious. The service was impeccable despite the crowds. gor a newly opened establishment they did a good job. And I owned and operated a restaurant for more than 10years so I know the challenges they face. I really liked it! Customer service was fantastic, hostess gave our son beads when we arrived and our server Jacob gave our son a toy alligator while we were waiting for our food. They did mess up our order a little; our salads were forgotten and my dish had gravy on it when I asked for no gravy. However they more than made up for it! ( free desert, which was also yummy) We really appreciated the level of care we received here. I grew up in south Louisiana so I was skeptical at best. But the Cajun fried chicken and red potatoes did not disappoint. My boyfriend really enjoyed his etoufee as well. I was told my wait would be 40 minutes, which was no problem. 45 minutes go by so i ask the hostess how far my group was on the list and they told me I had 10-12 parties in front of me and would be waiting ANOTHER 45 min- 1 hour. 45 minutes is pretty different than 2 hours. Best service I've seen. We got our table extremely fast and our server was great and knowledgeable, never had to wait for a refill and was always checked on. We got grilled oysters that took longer than expected but the manager Liz came right away and told us what was going on and how much longer. Many restaurants don't say what happened as to why food is taking a long time but we appreciated the honesty, she said they are shuck to order and when we heard that we totally understood.
