Was a fun evening. Started with the alligator tail--crispy and looked like fried clams. DH had the Chicken Tchopatulas and I had the shrimp en Brochette. Both were very good (we shared). The dirty rice was really good. I had a frozen Hurrycane and one on the rocks--the frozen one was sweeter. And, yes, I was done for the night after them. Our server, Macie, was great. This is one of my favorite places to eat when we want some good seafood! We had the rat toes which are spicy but so good, the seafood platter with green beans and mashed potatoes, which were very good as well, the shrimp and catfish with red beans and rice, which had a good taste but the rice was a little on the hard side, and some delicious hush puppies. Also, the gator, fried or grilled, is wonderful. You can't go wrong eating here. We order delivery this time, and while the delivery time was great, I will say, please Razzoo's, put some type of paper in the to go containers so they don't melt when the food touches them. read more

I have never had Cajun food, so I played it a little on the safe side this visit but next time it's all about trying the alligator, crawfish and I have to try the Rat toes which is a fried and battered jalapeño with crab stuffing inside. When I found this place on Yelp, I was looking for something close to my hotel in Tyler. I didn't realize it was a chain, but it was fine. My complaint was that my server told me my beer would be $3.00 for the regular size, so I ended up with two of those over dinner. When the bill came, I didn't notice until after my server had run my card that I had been charged twice that amount. However, after waiting for 20 minutes for my server to come back, I ended up signing off and leaving a smaller tip, because she refused to even look at me so I could get her attention, even though she was one booth away serving other patrons. I even waved a few times. No luck. I had the fried gator tails on jambalaya, and the food was tasty (the gator a bit overcooked) and with the right amount of flavor -- the Andouille sausage in the jambalaya was especially piquant. The black-eyed peas and green onions on the side were pretty bland but nicely starchy. In all, a decent meal that left me full, but with that nagging sensation that things were not all quite right with the bill. read more

BUT: the Cooks can't seem to cook well and the prices are too high for what you get. I got blackened catfish with dirty rice and green beans. The two tiny filets had twice the salt they should've, and were ruined; rice tasted bland (but not bad) and was cold; one little piece of garlic bread only; lazy, greedy and incompetent cooks. The green beans were really good; beer was good; and the service was fine; no complaints, very cool. But I paid (including tip) $27 for a meal I mostly didn't like, and left feeling ripped off, like maybe Razoo's has gone down hill, or maybe just this one store? I never remember feeling that way before at any Razoo's here in Dallas. Here, they're well liked. I should've just went to Steak n Shake, right next door, less than half the price. read more

Visited Tyler's location with my mom and had my caique parrot with me. They welcomed us in and double checked with the shift manager that it was okay to bring my caique in as long as he stayed in his backpack carrier. The staff was kind and even one of the waitresses knew he was a caique. We enjoyed our lunch. My mom loved the fried catfish a lot and I enjoyed the fried alligator tail and Cajun French fries. All was flavored well and cooked to perfection. Thank you to the staff for welcoming my parrot child into the restaurant and letting my mom and I enjoy our lunch. My family visited Tyler's Razzoo restaurant on 3/27/22. Requested an appetizer & was told they were out of it. A couple family members order fresh crawfish with potatoes & corn. When order arrived the were out of potatoes. While we were eating a little girl & her mother walked by & the little girl threw up right beside our table, the father walked by to notify the manager who the placed a wet floor sign over throw up but no one ever cleaned it up while we were there. Margarita was a served in a pretty small glass.... ordered the broiled oysters and they looked delicious, they were good bit salty. Three lbs of crawfish were also quite salty. Most disappointing. The oysters looked fresh and good, but there was no taste. Almost as if they were shucked and then rinsed in fresh water. Didn't even finish them. Bartender asked how everything was and I told her there was no taste, almost as if they had washed them. She shrugged and never mentioned it to the manager. Guess they are still shucking them in the morning and letting them sit somewhere. I'm a guy who used to buy 30lb bags on Polaski Hwy north of Baltimore and shuck my own. First and foremost, our waitress was great and no complaints about her. However, we got some crawfish to share and they were so small and very salty. So salty in fact that it became a chore to eat the crawfish since the salt "seasoning" was so strong.
