I have been going here for a few years now and will never go anywhere else! I live in sf and commute to Burlingame to see Bella and Rutchie - they are the best! I do full face threading and love it. They alway fit me in and take the time make sure that I am happy with their work. Their prices beat many other threading studios in the Bay Area and they do not compromise quality. I just visited today, and Zara did my full face. She wasn't very chatty, which is perfectly fine with me because I would much rather her concentrate on my face than holding a conversation. And she had the thread in her mouth, like how much conversation can I expect? Something was going on with their usual location, so they were moved and I was CONFUUUSED! But that is not their fault at all. They had a whole bunch of signs for guidance. My one problem with this location was that it was not very well lit. So at the end when she asked if everything looked okay, I had to look for a looong time!! My main focus was to make sure she made my eyebrows look good. And she definitely did!! I love my brows. I did find out later on when I got in my car that she left a little bit of hair on my upper lip and one of my brows were not trimmed. I took care of it myself when I got home, though. I would definitely come back since Zara did a great job, but I do hope that they have better lighting next time! I think that the lighting caused her to miss some hairs, so it's not too big of a deal. read more

It was an emergency! My usual spot is in San Ramon. But i hadn't made my way to that side of the bay area in quite some time but needed a thread bad! I live very close by so decided to check it out first on YELP and then for myself. Very accommodating; I walked in at 550p when they close at 6pm. Yes, I was that girl! BUT again, very friendly and willing to help! Clean facility. Nice and friendly. Very particular and will likely be back! P.S. I normall pay $15 for lip and eyebrows but it's $20 here... not too bad. read more

Since leaving my last place because they ruined my eyebrows, I searched long and hard for a new threading place. I decided on this place and I do not regret it! The lady was fast, listened to me, and it didn't really hurt! I've had it done by a lot of different people, and for some reason she doesn't hurt that much. Major PLUS PLUS PLUS for that. I've had some pretty bad eyebrow experiences and when Ruchi touched my overgrown/no direction/bad shape eyebrows, she perfected it! Great service, and the ladies are always nice to my mom and I. Same as other reviews. Ruchi threaded my eyebrows and didn't make them too thin. Great location (right across from M.A.C). They charge slightly more than South Bay, but it's worth not having to drive down to Sunnyvale/San Jose. read more

Ladies (and possibly gentlemen) embrace the new type of "waxing"...threading! Yes threading! I am never gonna get my eyebrows waxed because the anticipation of waiting for that girl to rip off that white strip is just too painful that the waxing itself! Here is how it works for me when I step into the studio: I just walk right in there, plop myself down on the chair and after 10 or so minutes my eyebrows come out amazingly good! The ladies there are super nice, professional, and know what they are doing. So in short: I love getting my eyebrows threaded from Rb's! Let me start by thanking all the lovely yelpers who reviewed this place. Its everything and more! I came here without an appointment hoping they had time and they did! took me right in and started threading away. It was my first time threading and though i didnt recieve the 10% discount that some people mentioned they recieved, i was still very happy to pay $15.00. It was worth it! I took my friend with me and she got some henna art done on her hand. Again, we didn't have appointments and she was by herself. The other lady was in India i believe..? So she was swamped! But in between all her appointments she managed to squeeze us in and not make us feel rushed out. Bella was super friendly! and she's been threading for 13 YEARS! How could you not trust her?! While I was there, a young lady who was getting married this weekend also happend to come in.. And guess what....??? YEUP! You guessed it! She Found Rb's Threading Studio on Yelp too!! Been coming here for years for eyebrow threading, even when I lived in SF. Even when the threading felt rushed, it was still a good job. So this review isn't about the threading but the service. When they say a 6:30 close time, they mean they want all customers out the door before 6:30. I walked in at 6:02 and was turned away. As I walked in, the lady working there was just starting on someone and there was another person waiting. She was rude, saying that she they close at 6:30 and she already has two customers. I asked if she could just squeeze one more in and was essentially shooed away. Bad business practice. read more

I am writing this with with well cleaned, arched eyebrows and a somewhat stinging face still (disregard this part though because I'm very intolerant of pain). My roommate recommended me to Bella because she's been going to her for years. I'd never gotten my eyebrows done and like them natural so decided "why not"...AMAZINGGGG. Think Camilla Belle. That's how I like my eyebrows and that's how they ended up looking. Also, super cheap, whole face threading= $30. I hate change, so I usually just go to Bella. Today Bella was on vacation but Ruchi said she'd take me, and boy is Ruchi good. She went SUPER FAST and it made the pain less. Also, their priority is making sure they're how YOU want (eyebrows). Very flexible scheduling, great conversation, only giggle slightly when I'm wincing in a fetal position in the chair and give me time to recover in between threading spurts. I go to school in San Diego and only let Bella or Ruchi touch my eyebrows. High five, five stars. read more

Had my eyebrows threaded by Kay. She listened to how I wanted them done and did an excellent job. This place is tricky to find. It's in the basement and the stairs to go downstairs are located outside the building. In comparison to other threading places I've been to, I think this place is on the pricey side. For now, I'll stick with my usual $10 place in Foster City. read more

So I just got to work after having my eyebrows done for the first time by Ruchi, and let me tell you. THAT WOMAN IS WONDERFUL! This review is for her. That being said, if my next visit goes well, I'm going to make this my go to place for brows. My boyfriend's prom is this weekend, and I wanted to find a good place that did amazing brows for not too much cash - hell no was I gonna try and book anything at Bombshell. Yeah, they may do amazing brows, but getting them to squeeze you in for appointments is CRAZY. I don't normally get my eyebrows done, and I have had them both threaded and waxed before, but after Ruchi, I think I might reassess that! When I walked in, two ladies were already getting their eyebrows done. I didn't call ahead of time, and a woman showed up who had called ahead of time, so I was totally cool with letting her go first. Ruchi is incredibly fast, and talkative when you give her the chance. We both speak Hindi, and in my opinion she was very friendly to me! It's not that they mean to be rude by being quiet, it's a sign of formality and respect to do work quietly. She does, however, make conversation if you keep it going. :) She's amazing! She followed exactly what I wanted (natural shape with a little bit of arch, not toooo thick, because it overpowers my face) and made sure to fine tune it to what I wanted. For threading, this place is overpriced and not that great. Maybe it's cause it's in Burlingame, but $15 for eyebrow threading is on the high end. For a while, I came here because it was the only place I knew of near Burlingame for threading, but I always ended up being somewhat unsatisfied with my eyebrows. The woman here just shrugs and is like, "well, your eyebrows grow in different directions and this is the best shape". Maybe I'd believe her if I hadn't been to other places that have managed to do better. read more

I have difficult eyebrows to work with. I tried growing them out and fixing the shape this past summer and ended up going to about 3 places before being satisfied with RB's. The pros: They do a good job. They leave the areas alone where the hair needs to grow back and by far do the best job on keeping the eyebrows even. They also keep the natural shape and don't go overboard yanking off unnecessary hairs for awkward looks. The store is also in a hidden underground area which I like. I generally don't like places that thread publicly, like some I've seen where they do it in the middle of a shopping mall. No thanks to staring passers-by. They are also excellent for walk-ins. Maybe it's because they are hidden but I like not needing an appointment. And they're fast. I can take a break from work and be done with the threading in 15 minutes. The cons: Not the friendliest people but not the worst either. I've gone twice and both times when I first walked in the ladies had a few friends over and were conversing in a foreign language which made me feel a little awkward being the only customer and the only one who couldn't understand. They sat me down quickly but without many words. I'm also not a fan of the fact that they don't do anything to prep you for it. No powder, brushing, or anything. They just go straight into it. And lastly, this bothers some people but not me, they tend to trim your eyebrows with scissors after the threading if needed. It comes out to $20 every time I go since I do eyebrows and upper lip threading. Some might consider it a little more on the expensive side but I think it's worth it for what they do. And I believe they take card also which is a plus. So thank you Rb's for being close to where I work and for doing a good job! read more

I have been coming to RB's Threading Studio for about 3 years now. Richie and Bella are the BEST. R & B are more perfectionists at hair removal and try to accommodate every person and every schedule. I am very allergic to hair removal of any other kind and have been ripped off (no pun intended) by many other brow bar type places. If you want the BEST brows come here...even my BF says my brows are beautiful, I mean come on what guy actually notices that??? read more

The staff is quite friendly and I walked in for the first time easily without an appointment. Note that it was my first time getting my brows threaded, however it was done within five minutes- super quick! I really appreciated how quick it was, but my brow was slightly crooked, but nothing super noticeable that it would bother me too much! read more

I am going to rate this as 5 stars since this is my first threading experience. I was nervous walking in but she made the atmosphere more comfortable. She was quick and effective. I like the fact that she didn't make my brows too thin so that I would look like a Chinese doll. I really like the outcome of it. Its $15 but 10% first timers...so it came out to be $13.50. I went to Rb when my usual threading lady down the street was on vacation. I remembered there was another threading studio on Burlingame Ave. so I decided to just walk by and check it out. Bela was so nice and they weren't busy so I decided to stay. I was going to be in a wedding that following weekend so I decided to be brave and thread my whole face ($30). I walked out as smooth as a baby's butt. Bela was great she was friendly and wasn't silent or overly talkative (I hate both extremes). She listened when I said I wanted to maintain an arch and my eyebrows turned out great. She gave me a mirror to check out the work and although everything looked great, she was completely willing to fix anything she may have missed! I have been eyebrow threading shopping and have yet to find a high quality place for a good price....well until I came to Rb's. Other places have given me skinny uneven eyebrows and i would have no choice but to pencil them in. THere are top rated SF threading and i'm sure they are all great but I refuse to pay $45-50 for eyebrows. After re-growing out my eyebrows for six months, I decided to try Rb's and I got the perfect eyebrow shaping. They are even and gorgeous!! I am now a loyal customer. Just visited RB's Threading, this was my first time having this done. Soo much better than waxing...and do not have to worry about tainted wax! The girls are friendly. Once conversation starts they are talkative! Some people complained about them not being friendly...Personally, I would like them to concentrate on my brows then chatty chatting. The woman did a nice job, very clean and asked if it was ok when she was finished. Ladies, if they leave stray hairs on your face ask them to clean up, don't complain after the fact on Yelp, does no good. I am hooked and will be back in a few weeks. read more

I love coming to Rb's to have my brows threaded! Rucchi and the other associates are so nice, and I find that they really listen when I ask to have it just cleaned up, or if I want something more specific. Others have said it's hard to find, but because I frequent this area often, I found it relatively easy to find. They also offer aloe vera gel afterwards to calm any redness or itchiness, tissues to wipe away excess brow/facial hairs. I first started coming to Rb's around two-three years ago after letting my brows grow out like a forest. It was hard not to pluck. When I went it, Rucchi helped me and we talked about how I wanted an arch, but nothing too harsh, something that would fit my face, and she's been so helpful ever since. I truly love coming here. Wow! Two years have passed by since my review and Wo0o0ho0o0 R&B is still my go to threading studio :) I went religiously every two weeks when I first heard about Ruchi and Bella. Now I go every 3 to 4 weeks. I've noticed my eyebrows take longer to grow and I grow very fine hairs now. I'm very satisfied with the outcome because I have uber dark and thick Latin eyebrows. I don't know if this will happen to the rest of you? I did hear that by threading your brows this was the effect ,but this was not the reason I keept going to R&B for my eyebrow business, I simply enjoyed the painless hair extraction and their talent to shape my thick eyebrows to my natural arch and face shape! read more

I have recently relocated here from Georgia, and I have been surprised with how many things I took for granted back home. I have had to find all new services in my area. I was WAY overdue for an eyebrow clean-up, and had a great threading place back home that I was missing. I found Rb's on yelp this afternoon. Called and was able to pop in immediately. On top of that, I was in and out in about 5 minutes (was lucky to find a parking space right out front) and am so happy with the skill and professionalism. The pricing ($15) is higher than back home, but it seems VERY reasonable from my research of the area. If you haven't tried threading before, this is your place. They are quick and relatively gentle (as gentle as you can be when you are pulling unwanted hair out). read more

First of all, if you haven't tried threading for your eyebrows - you must! This is a great place for threading - the girls are always very nice and they do an excellent job. I've never given any guidance on shape - I trust them completely! Everyone here does a great job... I made the major mistake of getting sucked into one of those deals in the mall once - and the girls there nicked my skin with the thread - I literally had scabs! Much better to pay a little more and have it done right... Also, love that I can almost always walk in without an appointment and not have to wait. They are always very accomodating! read more
