Whenever I have had work done, he has numb me perfectly where I cannot fill any pain. He is very honest and caring, he does not make you get any work done if you dont need it. This place was not a good experience. The x ray tech was very unprofessional and complained about her job constantly. She even dropped the x ray on the floor and then stil tried to put it in my mouth. On top of that, you basically have you sign some type of NDA in which you cannot sue if they mess up your mouth. Which totally freaked me out because of the fact of how services were already going. So I decided to not get service with them in which they would be working in my mouth because I don't want any complications. I do not recommend this place. read more

I originally left this office a positive review after my first visit, but after several appointments, I can honestly say I would never return here again. During both my daughter's checkup and one of my own procedures, two dental assistants in the back made comments and laughed about my daughter's teeth. It completely destroyed her confidence and left her embarrassed and ashamed of her smile. No child should ever leave a dental office feeling that way. On another visit, one of the assistants dropped my crown mold on the floor, picked it up, and attempted to place it back into my mouth as if I hadn't seen it happen. That alone was extremely concerning and unprofessional. What upset me even more was learning later that I was given a procedure that I didn't truly need simply because it was the only treatment covered by Medi-Cal. Nobody bothered to explain my actual treatment options or ask whether I was willing to pay for the proper procedure myself. I continued returning because I was still in severe pain, and it took until my fourth or fifth visit for them to finally identify the real issue -- a cracked tooth. At that point, I was left questioning whether the tooth had already been cracked or if repeated visits and grinding on my teeth made the damage worse. Communication throughout this entire experience was terrible. I spoke with the payment coordinator Elen, who said she would discuss the situation with the owner, but I never received any real follow-up or resolution. I also spoke with the office manager, Blanca, who was polite, but again, nothing was ever resolved. The same two assistants involved are still working there. I ended up paying close to 5k to fix the broken tooth and the other 2 procedures that supposedly needed. After reading a lot of other reviews I know I was also scammed out of 5k. I almost feel like I need to file a state complaint. This was one of the most disappointing and uncomfortable experiences I've had at a dental office, both as a patient and as a parent. read more

I have been going to Dr. Lau for years and can't say enough good things about him. He is always patient, honest, and takes the time to explain everything, which makes every visit feel comfortable and stress free. This office scammed my husband. He went in with tooth pain, and was told he needs a root canal & a few cavities. They said it was 10,000 dollars and that with his insurance he would only pay "$3600" When he called me I told him this doesn't sound right at all. I just had a root canal done elsewhere before changing offices and mine was $95. I told him to get a few opinions from other offices, so he went to 6 different dentists and lo and behold, all of them told him it would only be $95.00. He felt so taken advantage of, This office RC DENTAL tried to scam him. All 6 dentists told my husband to never go back there! They said all the things they tacked on should have been optional but my husband was never given any options. It's so sad that they do this to people, He had some work done to "prep" the tooth that day that he went into RC DENTAL & they're saying that the tiny amount of work they did was $1000 just for that, whereas at other dentist we were quoted $100 Also without consent- they charged him the FULL 3600 ON HIS CARECREDIT without even doing the procedure. It's a mess. I am most likely going to hire an attorney to review this and we will be escalating this case because this is just too big of a scam to go on as if nothing happened.i will also be contacting everyone I can find who seems to be scammed the same way because after reading these reviews I do see we're not the first to be scammed. We will see how the office handles this situation today and if they decide to what's right & refund and not scam my husband out of 1k - I will update this review. read more

I've been going to this location for over 20 years... There is a very patient doctor, Dr. Lau, that has been with me every step of the way. I am one of those patients that needs bright pink stickers all over their file because I cry at pain, uncomfortableness, noises, the whole freaking process. I am 44 years old. Their staff is extremely patient with me and sometimes, by the time I leave, I am still in tears because I am thankful for their patience. I feel, if you communicate with your doctor, they will work with you to achieve your short and long-term outcomes... And that is exactly what Dr. Lau has done for me. This office has been very disappointing in terms of communication and professionalism. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful, and this was the second time I arrived for an appointment only to be told that my insurance would not cover the procedure. I was not informed ahead of time, which resulted in unnecessary time and travel. During my visit, I was given a temporary crown, but the color did not match my natural teeth, which caused me significant distress. I became very upset with how it looked. Overall, there appears to be a lack of communication regarding insurance coverage and treatment plans. These matters should be clearly discussed with patients before any procedures are performed. I also felt that I was not treated with proper care or respect during my appointment, and at times felt more like a number than a patient. After treatment, I was only then informed about what my insurance would cover, which should have been explained in advance. read more

**Beware** Bad service!!! My son went for an exam and they told him he needs a lot of work done. Cavities, decay, old fillings need to be redone. The cost was going to be over $3k with my out of pocket $900. And this place submitted a claim for a cleaning (which didn't happen). FRAUD!!! I'm going to contact my insurance. My son takes very good care of his teeth. He got a 2nd opinion with my dentist nearby....result....2 small cavities!!! This dentist told him he has great hygiene and perfect gums!!!
