I went to this dentist after moving from out of state. After 25 years of consistent dentist care, and never any cavities, they told me I had 5 cavities and that I should come back in 2 days to fill them. I consulted my old dentist to see if there were any teeth they were "watching", and they said no. I went to another local dentist and they also said I didn't have any cavities. Tried and failed to get me with the cavity scam. Will not come back. Equipment and office also looked older than I am. Like most people I'm scared of going to the dentist because it's always a painful awkward experience. Here the staff were so incredibly nice every single one of them! I came in on the wrong day (slaps forehead) and they still squeezed me in. I didn't feel shamed for how bad my teeth were they told me what was going on and how they could help so I appreciated that. Usually I push myself through the pain but I had no pain whatsoever which I was delighted after getting several fillings. All supporting staff as well as the main dentist are very comforting and supportive. They work above and beyond to make sure that I am well informed even to the point of asking if I needed to go eat something before my procedure so I am not hungry all day after. Doctor ACTUALLY LISTENS and feeds back my concerns and answers my questions with a hint of impatience or irritation like I am wasting his time. Great people and great care. I'm changing my review because I did some research and unfortunately this office does try to scam their patients. I was told I had 14 cavities and that the white resin composite is not covered by my insurance so I would need to pay about 2k out of pocket for white fillings. Also I've never had this many cavities and brush regularly while occasionally flossing. Someone else posted that the same thing happened and they paid close to 2k only to find out that their insurance does cover the white fillings. So I checked my benefits and mine is covered up to 80%! So I would've paid 2k and the dentist would've received the payout from my insurance. I'm disappointed that this dentist would try to scam his patients out of their money. And the orthodontist is funny and nice and makes you feel super comfortable. It can be trouble finding a reputable, honest and caring dental office- sometimes sacrificing one of the three qualities previously mentioned. Every time I've come, I've always been greeted by, and helped by friendly, loving staff. The Dr. (Villamor) is a gentle and sweet guy. Having a fear of people working in my mouth, the Dr was very helpful and also educated me on the things he was going to do and also answered any questions I had. I've been here since 10 am to put on my crown. It's 12:07 pm and I'm still waiting here. If this were the first time, okay, but this is now the third time I've came for an appointment and I had to wait an hour just to get looked at. I work in an office where things pop up and times vary, but this is unacceptable. It wasnt always like this and i actually liked the place when they knew how to stick to appointment times. I've been going to Dr. Usita for as long as I can remember and I've had nothing but great experiences! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the office is clean and tidy, they have computer screens in all the rooms so I can watch movies while I wait. Most importantly, Dr. Usita seems to know what he's doing. It never hurts when I get shots for my fillings. He just has that touch I guess. I would ONLY RECOMMEND this place. Ok first of all the only reason they would ever take you in later and have you wait is because you were late. I always arrive on time . I haven't gone to the dentist is 5 years and I had to come because of my tooth hurting. Dr Usita prepped me that day and scheduled it the next day - I was shocked because I felt like nooo discomfort or pressure- she made sure I didn't feel it and kept asking if I was ok. My visit today was amazing. The COVID Guidelines were followed. The staff made me feel comfortable with the dental procedures for my visit. The office manager had made sure that any insurance coverage was accurately in place and approved before my arrival for the appointment. If I could leave negative stars I would. I've been bringing my son here for several years and have had multiple appointments where Dr. Ursita insisted my son had multiple cavities. Not thinking to question his professional opinion and my son being under the age of 8... I consented to get them drilled out. I opted for the white composite material rather than the silver metal. I was told I would have to pay out of pocket for the composite since his insurance didn't cover it. They collected about $1000 cash from me over the years saying the insurance doesn't cover this. Well, I ended up going to another dentist...which had to drill out some of Dr. Ursitas shotty work and guess what... My insurance covered the composite material! They always have. So, come to find out they billed my insurance and got paid on top of it from me! Then when I have asked several times for the records and for the invoices/consents... My son's file... I've got nothing! Went in twice now to pick it up only to be turned away and said I'd have to contact the account manager. I followed up and have been waiting for these so called records that were to be mailed for over 3 weeks now. This office is a complete rip off and will take advantage of you and the insurance company! They stole money from me already knowing they were paid by the insurance. They tried to use an excuse of adding in a sensitivity solution to the composite material and that's what they charged for. Well, there's not one record showing consent to add anything into my son's mouth or the material used. No record of anything added to the composite. Just full of excuses and can't even get a solid professional answer out of them. I now take my son to children's dentistry of Rancho Cucamonga and love it there. If you come across New Smile Dentistry...Steer clear of this shady office and unethical people. read more

This was my first time here & I will not be coming back. I just moved to the area & was due for a cleaning. Dr. Usita told me after examining my teeth I had 15 cavities! What?! I go to the dentist regularly every 6 months & have only had a handful of cavities in my life (I'm almost 40). I have really good teeth. This is a total red flag & seemed like he was trying to rip off my insurance company. I got a few other opinions from other dentists & all of them said I do not have 1 cavity. Pretty upsetting you have to be dishonest to your patients to make money & that you encouraged me to come back for fillings for all of them. This dental office cares only one thing: Money. I requested from them my old x-rays for my new dentist, paid my handling fee, only got an incomplete set of tiny images practically unusable. After that I called the office and spoke to Stephanie Martinez, Front and Back Office Assistant. She refused to send me the rest of my x-rays, instead, asked for another round of handling fee. After I told her I had already paid for it and emailed her the receipt as proof, she said she never received it. I therefore asked to speak with her manager, which she refused again and stated she was the one in charge. Totally unprofessional, untrustworthy.
