This place just lost a customer and many more because I used to love this place as a kid. GOT parts for my traxxas and they were super helpful. Now I called the place and this rude jerk Garret picked the phone and provided the worst customer experience known to man kind. He was rude right off the bat. I was just asking how much I can sell my traxxas rc car for and this fella doesn't even ask what kind but gets mad at me for just asking to sell an rc car. I called this other place called XL hobbies and they had great customer service! I asked the same question and got a much nicer response and a good explanation on price. Customer service was great they help me select the right RC car for me. They don't try to up sell you on anything they answered any questions I had which was many. RC shop hobby shop located in Long Beach right by the corner of Bellflower and Spring. The RC shop brings back memories back in the days. It's a good shop. I'm glad it's there now my childhood memories but now my kids kids fulfill their little memories have a Lotta nice remote control cars. These people here are very wise very thoughtful very kind. They can advise you The nice remote control car for your children from beginners to professionals. They have it all. They also can build it for you, so if you need help building your remote control, I will take it here. This location is right off of Spring. Plenty of parking big parking lot really neat have starter remote controls all the way to professional I highly suggest if anything come check them out I did. I didn't regret it. I wish I had time, but I can't at the moment also with me they do finance here they they can finance you a toy for you. It's pretty neat. Some items that the store could improve on: Inform staff that you can price match. I later found out on their website that they can indeed price match. When I called if I can do just that, after purchasing, they said it was too late and they gave me the cop out "sorry it's store policy" excuse. When I asked if they can help w an issue, I explained the symptoms and what I had already done per the manual. I got there, they tested it out real quick, already something I told them I did. And the staff said they can't do anything about it and to call the company to get warranty work. It would have been nice to be told that over the phone rather than wasting time driving to the store only to be told they can't do anything. Even after I told them what had been done. On top of that, during the testing the guy did not even bother strapping the battery on. So as he was walking with it the battery just fell and dragged on the ground. If that's the kind of staff they have, not sure I'd trust their word on something I'm new to. I'll probably try other shops. Shame since this place seemed it had good reviews and would have established a go to spot since I'm new to the hobby and looking to expand my knowledge of the hobby and purchase more cars big and small. read more

Roger steered me in the right direction in what I was looking for, which was a truck that I can crash and run over stuff. (TRAXXAS SLASH). Love the vibe I got walking into the shop as well. The people really knew their stuff even though I do not nothing at all. Very knowledgeable staff. Ask a question and they will find you the right answer or lead you to it. Overall great people, great service, great shop to shop. Definitely recommend to come to this place and buy an RC. 06/09/2015 I came in today had a problem with my battery not connecting properly. Dawn steer me into the right place. Even though I had to buy another charger to charge the battery but on the bright side I would have 2 batteries charing at the same time. Will not ever go back here. Was online looking at the Big Rock Arrma and they were going for on the Arrma manufacture page for $319.99. So I was like ok well let me check this store out because I didn't want to wait! I go to the store and ask did they have in stock? The guy there found it and there at the store they were going for $369.99! Big difference right? Well I asked the gentlemen did they price match because they're going for $319.99 on the actual website and $339.99 on Amazon! He goes through this whole spill saying that Amazon is selling without permission blah blah. Ok if so, on the actual Arrma website they're going for $319.99. He's like well we don't price match and he can't do it. But I go to the online store RC Street Shop and in writing on top it says $$Price Match! So I don't know if this guy just didn't want to sell to me or didn't want to make money or whatever the case. I won't be going back. I refuse to pay $50 more than what the actual manufacturer website it selling for! If it was $10 maybe even $20 more than website, I would have purchase but since he wasn't willing to budge on the price at all, l left! I ended up purchasing it off Amazon for $339.99 and it arrives the very next day! Sucks for him! Our experience with the staff was disappointing. They seemed rushed to get us out of the store. They were not friendly and made no attempt to interact with us. We are newbies with lots of questions and needs. You could have put a little more effort into making us feel welcome and you would have have had a long time client who would have spent plenty of money. Our youngest child was in awe and is the most interested and your associates were RUDE to him and we were the only customers inside. I have been to this shop before and have bought multiple items from this location. The first week they opened their doors for business I was there. The thing that really impressed me is my first experience with them. I own a Futaba radio. The thing I really hate about the radio is that the receivers that are used with this model are in the $90-$100 range. Well I went into the store because I was right in the middle of building an RC Jeep Wrangler. I told the owner what I needed and he assured me that what he had would work. So I bought the receiver but it turned out it did not work with my radio. I know they have a policy that you cannot return electronics once you purchase something from their store. But I called him and he took responsibility for steering me in the wrong direction and so he allowed me to return the receiver. He ordered me the correct one and I had it in a few days. There was a slight difference in price but I paid it and it worked fine. Another experience I had with this shop is I bought an little RC Drone. It was a little over $100. It was a small drone that fit in your hand no problem. I had it for a little over a week and it started acting weird so I returned to the shop to ask what might be wrong. The same owner swapped out a part since it was still under warranty and the drone works great. I really appreciated that. Although it is dedicated to mostly RC they do sell toys for kids as well as a selection of Tamiya paints in the 10 ml size jars. They also sell plastic models which is my favorite hobby. All of the employees are great guys and very helpful. I am so happy to have this place so close to home. It is very convenient and they always have what I need. read more

Ok, I am reviewing this because I am always the one buying this stuff for my husband. His friend Greg, got him into remote control cars. So, on top of being married to the biggest PC geek around, he is also now a RC nerd/geek. Ok, enough about us. I have been in this shop many times, picking up and paying for various items. Jeff ROCKS, he knows his stuff, and doesn't push either. Being totally naive and ignorant to the RC world, he made it easy for me :). He knows my first name, and always has what my husband wants and needs. If not, he will find it. Prices are very competitive, and reallyyyyy good (so I am told), and a HUGE selection it seems of items. In a great location (on Spring Street and Bellflower Blvd.), this is easy accessible right off the freeway with tons of parking. For you gals (or guys) who doesn't want to hang out with your other half while they are shopping, there is a great book store next door to browse in. :) or You can always pop into Tracy's Bar and Grill next door and have a cold one and lunch and then go play with your RC car, truck, plane, helicopter, or whatever! :) read more
