Caroline is wonderful person and always answered all my questions. Dr. Rashid takes PERSONAL CARE of all his patients and I had a slight discomfort after LASIK and he took out time to see me immediately. For me this gesture was very reassuring that Dr. Rashid is available for any issues. Even if you have decided on your LASIK doctor, just take a second opinion from Dr. Rashid before making the final decision. You won't regret it!!

I went in for my free screening to see if I was a viable candidate and everyone in the office during that visit was wonderful. They answered all of my questions that I had about the various tests that they were performing and they answered them in a professional, but pleasant manner. Yesterday was my surgery day and everything went to plan. My mother drove me to the Alamo Vision Center, the surgery took about 15 mins and I was immediately able to see clearly, leafs on trees etc. I was sensitive to light immediately afterwards, which is normal, and after arriving home and taking about a 2 hour nap I could see so well I could watch tv, read, etc with no problem. The next day(today) I went in to the office for my check up and Dr. Rashid said that everything looked perfect and I could read the 20:15 line for the vision check! I absolutely recommend getting LASIK from Dr. Rashid!

I haven't been here in a while, and I finally went to get my eyes checked and got some contacts…read more After wearing my contacts for a month, I realize that these contacts were not fit for me because they kept hurting my eyes really bad so I went today to see if I could somehow get new contacts And they told me that I could go get my eyes checked again, but they would charge me for a new set of contacts after I paid for one year of contacts. They were not willing to exchange my contacts for another brand. It just upset me because why would I have to pay Again knowing that I have a years subscription of contacts. They were not willing to help me out and see what we could do about it. I got up and I told him that they suck and I would never come back again. So they were not willing to help me out at all so I do not recommend this place at all. I've been going here for years and this is how I get treated. I don't think so so I am leaving a bad review on them.

Very disappointed with the staff. The office is beautiful and seems state of the art. Our insurance…read morechanged so we had to pick a new provider. After looking at pictures and reviews I chose Hill Country Vision Center to switch my family to. We took our toddler to his first visit, and he was understandably restless. The office told my husband to bring him back another day to complete his exam. Totally fine, we understand toddlers can be a handful. We returned Friday to complete his appointment. I went with him this time. I arrived early as they instructed on the text reminders, emails, and voicemails. We checked in and took a seat. I expected to wait, no problem there, but 15 minutes past our appointment time we still hadn't been called back so I asked how much longer. They said they were getting a room together, so we went back to wait. The assistant took us back to the room and tried to start his eye exams, she did not seem comfortable with children. I work in pediatrics and offered to help hold him for this part, we were able to get through most of it even though he struggled, but there was little communication about what they needed to accomplish to complete the test. We were went back out to the waiting room to await the student doctor. Another long wait later, we're taken back to the room to see the doctor but we're waiting on them again. The student doctor finally came in, she gave no direction on what she needed my son to do, and was very hands off. We had trouble getting him to sit still, he's 3, he never sits still, but again I offered to hold him and get no real response, then she leaves to confer with the doctor and we're getting to wait again. About 15-20 minutes goes by. We arrived at the office at 9:50. It's now 11:45. Enough is enough, toddlers cannot sit and wait that long and expect to have a good outcome so I decide we're going to leave. I walk out and the student doctor is typing notes or something on the computer. She asks if we needed something and I calmly let her know my son couldn't wait any longer and we would be leaving. She said she would go check with the doctor, I said that's fine but we are still leaving. I let her know if they weren't equipped to handle toddlers they should have just told me and we could have gone somewhere else and saved us all the trouble. I let the front desk know also that we were leaving and that they could call and bill me later. I also let them know expecting children to wait almost 2 hours to see the doctor was not acceptable. I work in healthcare and would never treat my patients this way. No one ever apologize for the wait. No one called me Friday. No one called me today after I left a message. Now they can talk to my insurance about why they billed an exam that wasn't completed. I'm sure it's a great office for adults, but I would not bring children here. I was going to transfer my whole family over but at this point I'd rather go back to our old office and pay out of pocket than put my son through such an experience again.

First off, the doctors are wonderful but i have never encountered a more horrible staff in my life…read more I had made an appointment to see Dr Marten for a second opinion consultation . After months of my doctor sending medical information and trying to contact Dr marten and no response I decided to go in person to see her. My surgery with my doctor was being delayed by weeks while waiting for a response from Dr Marten and time for my surgery was running out. After a long wait I was finally taken back to the examination area where the staff insisted on dilating my eyes and putting me through all the "new patient" protocols, I could NOT make them understand I was not a "new patient" and was there for a consultation. The male tech was such a BULLY that I was forced to get the dilation ! When I got to the exam room I was informed that DR Marten wasn't even there that day! A nice young doctor finally came in and I told him what had happened he apologized profusely , they had FINALLY found the correspondence from MY doctor!! He didn't charge me for the visit, I was left to drive home,80 miles, with my eyes dilated. I didn't know where I was as I don't live in San Antonio . I'm 70 years old and thank goodness for my cars navigation or I never would have blindly found my way to the interstate. They didn't even offer to help me down the stairs to get me to my car! I was terrified driving the long distance home. I never got the consultation. Although the doctors are lovely and seem most competent I cannot recommend this office due to the abusive staff.
