Service: great! Everyone is friendly and ready to make suggestions. Food: delicious!! Burgers, fries, tots- oh my! They're skinned fries and crispy tots exactly how we like them. The onion rings were perfectly concerted onions nice and warm. Handmade shakes: YUM! Get a small it's pretty much the perfect size. You can match flavors and they have a lot to choose from. My suggestion- mango and coconut We will be back to try some of their other items.

Great cookout style burger. I got mine Togo with fries. My burger consisted up chili cheese jalapeños and onions! So delicious and their chili is perfect. They're always friendly and punctual so I eat here frequently. Oh and you can't beat the price!

Where do I even begin... I wish I was a mamma bird so that I could regurgitate and eat these burgers over and over again. I believe that RD himself cooked these for us. The crispness of the fries, it was as if the salt was individually placed. I will be coming back

Came in to grab a quick bite before going to the movies. Was a little bummed that they didn't serve beer. The burgers were not bad, but there was a few issues. We ordered the RD (1/4 lbs) with bacon and cheese and a Monster (1/2 lbs) also with bacon and cheese. The patties on both were a little too "well done" making them dry. We needed to ask for extra mayo as a result. The amount of bacon and cheese added were appropriate, however like the patties, the bacon was "too crispy". It crumbled into "bacon bits" with eat bite. The tots and onion rings were also left in the fryers just a little bit too long. That was a shame because the onion rings may have just been the star of the meal, but again, they were obviously overdone...and maybe could have had a few more in the basket, but not too upset about the quantity. Finally the buns were good, could certainly tell that the bun for The Monster was made in house. The restaurant itself had a handful of tables, and a serve yourself soda fountain, a couple of TVs showing sports, and that was about it. Not a lot of decorations or anything to give the place "an identity". Having said all of that, the price was still cheaper than a couple of value meals from Whataburger or any of the other fast food joints, so I'd still prefer to come here to RDs than stoop to chain fast food. Take it for what it's worth. It totally could have just been an off night. I'll still go back and hopefully I will be able to up my star rating as I want to support local eateries.

Just simply great old fashion burgers! And the Onion Rings did not disappoint! Service quick, even with the rush as we can right at lunch time. Old school classic setting.

First time I went here recently the burgers were really good, just went back and decided this wasn't worth driving out of the way for. Tater tots are still great but the 2/3 lb. Burger had the patty shrink in size a lot. I don't know if it was wrong patty or higher fat content caused it to shrink. I know everything is going up on price especially meat, but if this is the issue bump the price not the quality. read more

Came here the other day for lunch with some coworkers because the place we wanted to go to was closed. Let me tell you, I'm so glad we found this place, the food was delicious. This is a no frills, mom & pop burger joint. I just had a bacon cheeseburger with jalapeños -- you can customize the burger just about however you want it. They have a plethora of addons. The meal I chose came with a side of fries/tots/onion rings, and a drink. It was like $8 or something. Let me tell you, the burger was good. Sort of reminded me--in the best way possible--of burgers you got as a kid at a bowling alley. But the star was the tater tots. I thought I had made a mistake because a friend ordered onion rings and they looked perfect. But I soon learned the tots were perfection as well. *Perfectly* cooked so they were crispy on the outside with warm potato goodness on the inside. My friend said the onion rings were also good. Lots of workers and locals came in during our visit. Plenty of inside seating and a couple of benches outdoors. RD's burgers were seriously good and if you find yourself lost and hungry in Cibolo, this place won't disappoint. I took a star away because they only sell Pepsi products. read more

RD's is a couple of doors down from my vet. While my cat was getting spayed, I figured I would try a burger. Their 1/4 lb combo was pretty good, I really liked the onion rings. I went back a week later and got their 1/2 lb combo meal, and the bun was stale. I tried a week later and got another 1/2 lb combo meal, and the bun was still stale. Took my adult daughter with me today, and we both got the 1/4 lb combo, and it was pretty darn good. I will stick with the 1/4 combo meal in the future, and it is only $7.14 including tax. read more

One of our favorite local burger joints. We love the burgers and the shakes are mouth-watering. All of the food is freshly made. The tater tots are always perfect. The service is fast and friendly. Service is friendly and efficient. They make great burgers- fresh and well seasoned, pretty juicy. Cute little place with open seating and a couple tvs. We usually call in an order to pick up. At busy times, you may have to hold, but once the order is in, it's pretty quick. Fries, tots, and onion rings are yummy and crispy on the outside. I would love to see more low calorie drink options (to go with my healthy choices, lol) Overall, a solid place to grab a bite or hang out. And they have awesome shakes! read more

Finally made it back in to try THE JUGGERNAUT! I felt like I was on an episode of Man vs. Food, it is a lot, but I had enough leftovers to enjoy for dinner the same evening. It is the same tasty and perfectly seasoned burger, just a gigantic version! The bun seemed even taster this time for some reason. So, 10 out of 10 again! Love this place so much. read more

What I look for in a burger joint: cheap prices, juicy burgers, and a relaxed atmosphere. RD's checks all the boxes and more! I got a good sized burger, side of tater tots, and a drink (with free refills) for only six bucks!!! I had zero complaints about the meal and my dad even went as far as to say it was better than Whataburger (slightly blasphemous in Texas). Staff was friendly and we enjoyed checking out the wall of photos of brave souls who attempted to eat the gigantic juggernaut burger. Next time I'm craving a cheeseburger I will 100% be stopping by again! read more

Such good burgers. You can't go wrong with a burger from RDs. Cody ordered the big ass burger that can serve 4 people and he really enjoyed it. I ordered a 1/4 quarter pounder burger and it was super delicious--very juicy. I will definitely return even if I'm a little far. I loved the employees.. how they had beautiful make up due to pride month. They were super friendly. Oh! And the tater tots a really great too. read more

Had been here a couple months ago and decided to go while in town. I wondered why it was empty but the quality seemed to really go down. The tater tots were awesome. As I ate a couple bites of a very flat burger, I opened it to see if it was only bread . Much to my surprise it was thinner and smaller then WB and I stopped going there. I really think the medium 1/4 lb now has 1/8 lb. My guest had the 1/2 lb, very thin but it covered the bun, very little topping. It was good while it lasted. Should Go up on price, not quality. read more

First time here and we loved it!! Let me start by letting you know that you WILL NOT spend a lot of money here!! That's always shocking to me when we go out to eat as a family of four and do not spend much money! We all ordered combos and ate most of our food... even the four year old ate most of hers!! I was a little nervous as a pescatarian but the menu said fish burger, which I assumed was a fish sandwich but my husband was concerned that it was fish in a burger, as in hamburger. Turns out I was write... it was a fish sandwich and it was delicious beyond my expectations!! There are so many toppings that you can add to customize your burger just the way you want it! Hands down the best value burger in the area! You can taste the quality without the crazy price tag. It's a pretty basic seating area which I think adds to the charm, and food is always ready quickly. My family LOVES their onion rings and the tots are always nice and crispy! read more

Reminded alot of Chester's Burgers which I love. They use Mustard instead of Mayo like Whataburger. Onions Rings were delish. Soo good I forgot to take pictures. Next time will def post pics. The only reason I give a one star is because I have to in order to leave a review! I took my best friend here because she was visiting and I saw them on tv so decided to try it. The ENTIRE STAFF IS SO RUDE!! Food was cold and was not good at all. It took 30 minutes to get our food from the rude girl at the counter. We sat outside because of their "Covid" rules, lol. I went inside to ask for ketsup up and they all just stared because I didn't have a mask on(but didn't say anything) my friend went back inside for a refill and the entire staff was bothered because she didn't have one on! WE WERE EATING!! If you don't want people to come inside for condiments or refills maybe you should check on your customers that are eating on the picnic tables that YOU provide.... so we don't have to come inside!! It was a waste of time and money. Nothing worse than rude people and cold food! read more

We just moved to the area and have been looking for an alternative burger place to fast food chains that taste great, has reasonable prices and a local business... We are happy to say that RDS is definitely a place you should come eat at! To start, they are following really strict covid guidelines. They have no dining inside, plexiglass between you and the workers, everyone is wearing masks, everyone uses sanitizer and they deliver straight to your car whether you order in or call it in... Super awesome! The servers / cashiers were fantastic, very friendly, knowledgeable and work diligently / quickly. The burgers were absolutely amazing. I ordered the Rd Burger with everything on it, my wife got a plain bacon cheeseburger and my son got the fried chicken sandwich. The burgers are thin but very juicy. They are not overly salted or seasoned. They come with a splash of lettuce, tomato, pickles and ketchup / mustard. The buns are buttered and toasted for a nice small crispiness but yet still very soft inside. I replaced my fries with onion rings. The onion rings were heavily battered and when you not into them the onion stayed inside (I hate when they slide out :/ ) I am also happy to report that, unlike some other Burger places, I did not have any indigestion or reflux later that night! LMAO Also on Sundays they have 4 burgers, 4 fries and 4 drinks for.j7st 20.00!!!! SO NO EXCUSES for not going giving it a try!!!! read more

RD's is a great place for a quick and affordable bite to eat. The burgers were good, I just had the 1/4 RD special with fries and my mother had the 1/4 RD special with onion rings. The patties are the thinner style meat patties, but the quality was good. The shakes were really tasty and the amount of flavors available is impressive. It was busy, so the service was as well as to be expected for the foot traffic, but no complaints there. Great place for an affordable meal that I highly recommend if you're looking for a quick bite and want some burger and fries (or onion rings). read more

All I wanted was a double cheeseburger with fries and a coke. I have a medical condition and cannot wear a mask. I am a disabled veteran and was exposed to toxic chemicals from when I was trapped in an MRAP that was blown up and caught on fire. As a result I have roughly 30% lung capacity left and cannot hear very well. I cannot tolerate my airflow being restricted in any way. I have tried masks and immediately get light headed and dizzy from lack of oxygen. I also have to rely on reading lips to conduct business. I was trying to understand what y our employees were wanting after I tried to give them my order. I was screamed at and felt like I was being mocked and made fun of. All I wanted was to place an order and wait outside. Your employees are not understanding or caring of people with disabilities. I will not support your business ever again. read more

Pretty darn good burger! I had the monster with cheddar, wife and kids liked there's as well. Milkshakes are really good! Don't really understand some of the unfair reviews about the walls furniture etc,, it's a burger joint!! You wanna look at furniture go to Ashley's, you want a good burger at a good price go to RD's.
