Service: great! Everyone is friendly and ready to make suggestions. Food: delicious!! Burgers, fries, tots- oh my! They're skinned fries and crispy tots exactly how we like them. The onion rings were perfectly concerted onions nice and warm. Handmade shakes: YUM! Get a small it's pretty much the perfect size. You can match flavors and they have a lot to choose from. My suggestion- mango and coconut We will be back to try some of their other items.

Great cookout style burger. I got mine Togo with fries. My burger consisted up chili cheese jalapeños and onions! So delicious and their chili is perfect. They're always friendly and punctual so I eat here frequently. Oh and you can't beat the price!

Where do I even begin... I wish I was a mamma bird so that I could regurgitate and eat these burgers over and over again. I believe that RD himself cooked these for us. The crispness of the fries, it was as if the salt was individually placed. I will be coming back

Came in to grab a quick bite before going to the movies. Was a little bummed that they didn't serve beer. The burgers were not bad, but there was a few issues. We ordered the RD (1/4 lbs) with bacon and cheese and a Monster (1/2 lbs) also with bacon and cheese. The patties on both were a little too "well done" making them dry. We needed to ask for extra mayo as a result. The amount of bacon and cheese added were appropriate, however like the patties, the bacon was "too crispy". It crumbled into "bacon bits" with eat bite. The tots and onion rings were also left in the fryers just a little bit too long. That was a shame because the onion rings may have just been the star of the meal, but again, they were obviously overdone...and maybe could have had a few more in the basket, but not too upset about the quantity. Finally the buns were good, could certainly tell that the bun for The Monster was made in house. The restaurant itself had a handful of tables, and a serve yourself soda fountain, a couple of TVs showing sports, and that was about it. Not a lot of decorations or anything to give the place "an identity". Having said all of that, the price was still cheaper than a couple of value meals from Whataburger or any of the other fast food joints, so I'd still prefer to come here to RDs than stoop to chain fast food. Take it for what it's worth. It totally could have just been an off night. I'll still go back and hopefully I will be able to up my star rating as I want to support local eateries.

Fantastic burger and tots, super hot, straight off the grill! I asked ChatGPT for the best burger near me while I was up in Schertz for work, and RD's came up. Did not disappoint!

Just simply great old fashion burgers! And the Onion Rings did not disappoint! Service quick, even with the rush as we can right at lunch time. Old school classic setting.

Support small businesses. We ordered a family meal deal for pick up. 4 burgers 4 fries 4 drinks. Top it off we saw a 1 lb patty burger on their fb page and ordered that too. Great dinner for our family. It was actually two meals for us. Thank you. So I went back to get the meal replacement I was offered & the cashier said they only replace meals the same day or the next day. I was not told this over the phone or I would not have even wasted my time today. Since I only go here when I'm getting off work (I live about 30 minutes away) I came at my earliest convenience. I even showed her the picture of the burger they clearly messed up on. Not happy with their customer service at all, especially since they were unwilling to fix something that was clearly their mistake. read more

This tiny place is BIG on flavor, service and great food! I tell everyone I know about their old fashioned delicious burgers and their tater tots are some of the crispiest I have eaten! The burger combos are cheap and come with a drink for under $8 and the owners and staff are kind and gracious. They will bring your food out to your car if you call your order in or you can place it at the counter and they will bring it outside. The food is fresh, hot and the flavorful and everyone I have told about it has gone back for repeated visits. It is located in a shopping center and has plenty of parking. read more

I took the time to drive over there for lunch one day last week after checking Apple Maps app and seeing that they were 'open'. However, when I arrived, they had a piece of paper with a handwritten note on it saying they were closed and out on vacation. Extremely frustrating and unprofessional. 99% of businesses remain open while specific employees go on vacation. It's called customer service. How hard is it to update your digital media sources. We live in the digital age where even 5 year olds have smart phones. read more

The Juggernaut Patti was a bit dry, had to add ketchup to the burger to juicen it up. Fries are crispy and not overly salted. Had the burger with cheese and bacon. Bacon crispy and laid out perfectly across the Patti. Bun was a bit hard and dry. Tea is fresh. Possibility of returning. read more

Went to the restaurant last minute for Father's Day. I would come back again. Burgers were good and very pleased with the meal. The prices were great too. The best burgers! Close to work, wish they were closer to home. Good old fashion big burgers and very economical. Great taste with a variety of cheese to top them. Add bacon, chili or guacamole for an added kick. They also offer a good variety including chili dogs, Frito pies, and great onion rings! Every time I have a visitor come visit our work, this is my go-to place for a great lunch! They always leave very satisfied and look forward to the next visit to try it again. read more

I saw the reviews and was curious of this place, they clam the burgers are fresh but it is highly questionable. The Frye's was decent. Overall I think the burger could of had more flavor to it, or at least a little salt but that's just my taste buds.I believe they could do some improvements on the taste of the patty. I was in the mood for a delicious burger so I decided to visit the neighborhood RD's, I live within walking distance from this restaurant. This is my second visit, both visits have not been good. My first visit during COVID my burger was missing requested items, that's fine, I let it pass. Tonight I called my order in at 7:04, The young lady on the phone said it' will be ready in eight minutes, I was literally there in four min. I noticed when I walked in the burger was already on the counter ready for me to pick up. Strange. Ok. When I got home the burger was cold and soggy! Seriously soggy! I literally had to remove the bread to try and somewhat eat the cold burger that I eventually put in the microwave to warm it up. This is not worth it. There wasn't a single person in the restaurant or outside waiting for an order there's no excuse for a soggy cold burger. Let's not discuss the fries. I gave them one star for answering the phone in a timely manner. read more

Located in a strip mall, This burger cafe is just ordinary--ordinary burgers, the same as Sonic, ordinary tables, and bare walls. With the exception of the bare walls, about 100 8 X 10 pictures are splashed all over both walls. They are the victors and the "Wall of Shame" of the participants of RD's eating challenge. We are fortunate to have this gem in our neck of the woods. Unlike dental clinics, a good burger spot is tough to find around here. We usually order the 1/6 burger. You can customize it and choose from several cheeses and add extras like bacon or avocado. They have fries, tots, and onion rings. Everything here is delicious. I like how they toast the bun so it's nice and warm. Nice touch! They have a great selection of delicious milk shakes too. You can even phone your order in ahead of time for pick up. Score! My wife and went to rd's burgers for the first time. before we went there we made a call to the restaurant to see if it was ok for me to take my theraphy dog. who ever answered the phone said that yes we could. when we arrived there was a white person sitting by the door and made these stupid eyes to who would probably only be her husband. now this is where it becomes {racial} cause now i know because the white person complained 3 times to get us removed from the place. here is who i am I AM AN AMERICAN VETERN WHO is disable with letter from the Veteran Administration the say my dog can sit with me.`the person on the register came to tell us to leave. but my wife telling the register person we were in compliance. does not matter we need to leave the white person that did the compain was smirking. racist run the this area of CIBOLO. All I wanted was a double cheeseburger with fries and a coke. I have a medical condition and cannot wear a mask. I am a disabled veteran and was exposed to toxic chemicals from when I was trapped in an MRAP that was blown up and caught on fire. As a result I have roughly 30% lung capacity left and cannot hear very well. I cannot tolerate my airflow being restricted in any way. I have tried masks and immediately get light headed and dizzy from lack of oxygen. I also have to rely on reading lips to conduct business. I was trying to understand what y our employees were wanting after I tried to give them my order. I was screamed at and felt like I was being mocked and made fun of. All I wanted was to place an order and wait outside. Your employees are not understanding or caring of people with disabilities. I will not support your business ever again. read more

Pretty darn good burger! I had the monster with cheddar, wife and kids liked there's as well. Milkshakes are really good! Don't really understand some of the unfair reviews about the walls furniture etc,, it's a burger joint!! You wanna look at furniture go to Ashley's, you want a good burger at a good price go to RD's. Still want both, pick it up and go home! Might be better for everyone that way anyway! read more

My husband and I ate here today and our burgers were fabulous!!! They were better than Chester's Burgers and the fries were just like McDonalds. We both ate for less than $12 which is almost unheard of. We will definitely be back very soon!!! read more
