    Queso Fundido supposedly

Honestly the restaurant is nice, a nice open floor plan and patio on the second floor, but it is extremely over priced in my opinion. The food was good but not good enough to charge almost $20 per plate, however whatever you do not waste your money on the queso fundido. It was honestly the worst fundido I have ever seen and I order it everywhere it is available. My husband and I think they use queso fresco cheese which should not be used in this dish. All the moisture separates from the cheese and the cheese just becomes a hard ball. It was like a giant cheese stick that had the texture of being burnt or stale sitting in water. Considering it is about $17 and was not edible it was a big let down. I mentioned it to the waiter towards the end and he tried to say that was how fundido is supposed to be.... No it is not at all my guy.

I've never had a bad experience here. Food is always fantastic, service is top notch and the have great margaritas so what's not to love! I can't wait for the weather to get warmer because I want to hang out on the rooftop patio. Inside is great too, lots of tv's for sports fans.

The food here is delicious! I enjoyed the birria tacos - yuummyy!!! Only downside was the service. It took 15 minutes to be greeted and get drinks/utensils. Would still come back for these tacos!

Going down the drain?? Very disappointed!! They use the lowest quality of beef for their skirt steak in the molcajete I ordered. Hubby ordered the New York and got three layers of strip steak instead. The seasonings are good but seriously??? NOT a New York steak but charged for it. We asked to speak with the manager, a guy named Tanner with a man-bun and he didn't seem to give a hoot. He apologized but that was it. Have a nice evening!! We will not recommend this place to our friends.

I've been here before and I enjoyed it. We were seated in the bar area and watched some football white waiting for our food. The refried beans and salsa was delicious. Unfortunately, that was as good as it was going to get. We ordered the beef taco salad and were disappointed with the serving size at the flavor was just not good. I wish I had the tacos.

We went there for first time and really enjoyed the food. We had Enchilada Plate (3) and beef strew which was all good. They had a balloon artist for kids which was so fun. It seems balloon artist come every Wednesday. Not too busy on Wednesday either.

In the past I have really enjoyed my experiences at Real De Minas! I typically visit the other locations in Montbello and Aurora. I wasn't very impressed with the food or service at this Real De Mina's. I had the Pollo Poblano and it wasn't very flavorful. It was one of those "oh ok" meals. Everyone else in our patty said their food was just ok. While I service was ok, we asked several times for more chips/salsa and everytime we asked we were asked by the waiter if we were "ready to order". It was clear that we were waiting on another member of our party to arrive. Not sure I'll go back to this location. The other locations were better in taste, and overall service.

The food at this place is ok, but the drinks are bomb!!!! Really really good! The service is on point. I can tell by my own experience they are very nice, the place is super inviting and the music is amazing. Margarita's house were delicious especially during sunset time.

She recommends to come in not in your best attire because your clothes will smell of seafood and drippings of butter and what seasoning you choose. My goodness! I love this "eating messy" restaurant! The choices are grand including seasonings of your choice. My daughter and I opted for garlic and butter (who doesn't love butter)! They provide plastic bib, and gloves, of course. We picked what was on the menu: daughter had Dungeness crab, I chose clams and snow crab. It comes with corn cob, 2 whole potatoes (plenty to eat). Here comes the server; puffed up plastic bag, she shakes it to mix those buttery goodness etc and she opens the bag - viola your seafood looks deliciously amazing. I dug in (oops don't forget to take your watch off) ....absolutely delicious and the seafood was really fresh! I grew up in "seafood" country and freshness is a "thumbs up for this place. Yep, it was buttery messy for me but I was a gluttony messy eater! Denver-ans if you love seafood check this place even though it's "messy, dribbling" it's delicious. Like any seafood, you are expected to have a "pocketful of greens." Good quality seafood does that if you eat out. I will return before I leave and head back to Idaho if I have time - more restaurants to visit! Don't order the calamari appetizer. The server was sweet and took it out of our bill (I mentioned it was not what I expected-chewy and just ordinary and heavily crumbed).

We were immediately sat on the patio around 5:45 PM. We were greeted and given "welcome bubbles". What a nice touch. After about 5 minutes, we were finally given menus. Other people were sat around us, so we waited to ask for the happy hour menu. We ordered the chef's choice charcuterie, a cocktail, and a glass of wine. The drinks and board were yum, but not quite a wine bar as there were very limited option by the glass. Also, we had to ask for plates and silverware where this is a basic item. While deciding on dinner, we were approached a couple times by the 2 servers in the section. One was friendly, the other, not so much, rather indifferent and made us feel a little uncomfortable and not very welcome. This kind of set the tone for the rest of our night. We ordered the "family share" chateaubriand. We realize this is an expensive cut, but the portion is definitely not a sharing cut, around 4 oz. It is closer to a single entree. When it arrived, the plate was cold, like the meat was lukewarm and the cauliflower was ice cold. Again, we had to ask for silverware and plates for this "family style shareable" plate. We brought the cauliflower temperature up with the server and got new cauliflower after we were done with the rest of the meal. Also, I sat with an empty wine glass and no one stopped to ask if I needed another glass. When the servers did stop by, it was a short interaction and we never even had a chance to ask before they were already walking away. We saw so many people come in and out that they must be doing something right, but for us, our experience was mediocre. If our meal would have been the correct temperature (it was well prepared, just cold) and better execution on the service, we may have had a better experience.

FOOD Overall good food, if a little odd. The baked gnocchi and cherry tomatoes in a pesto sauce turned out to be a lot soupier than I expected. My son's pork was well-received. The house-specialty flatbread we had for the table was good. Desserts are served in, effectively, shot glasses. I don't know that it means the portions were any smaller than on a plate, and it made it convenient for the waiter to bring out a display carrier, but it was still a bit odd. One thing that struck me was that everything -- from the flatbread, to the Caesar salad, to the gnocchi, to the dessert, was just a bit sweeter than I was expecting. Not offputtingly so, but a little surprising. SERVICE Service was reasonably good, and our waiter generally showed up when we needed them. I had a dirty knife (promptly replaced with a full utensil kit). ATMOSPHERE The place is just plain noisy. At a booth for four, we had problems with conversation, and in hearing the waiter. Part of this is because they have about a half-dozen too many tables squeezed into the main dining area, among other things guaranteeing you'll brush or bump into chairs on your way to your table, even on the perimeter. One the one hand, it's a good sign that they're doing good business in pulling in a lot of customers; on the other hand, it contributes to making it not a good place for an intimate date. NET-NET We've eaten here before, with similar noise and crowd issues (the holidays are especially challenging). I wouldn't object to be invited by someone to dine here again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to make reservations here myself.
