The food here is delicious! I enjoyed the birria tacos - yuummyy!!! Only downside was the service. It took 15 minutes to be greeted and get drinks/utensils. Would still come back for these tacos!

Going down the drain?? Very disappointed!! They use the lowest quality of beef for their skirt steak in the molcajete I ordered. Hubby ordered the New York and got three layers of strip steak instead. The seasonings are good but seriously??? NOT a New York steak but charged for it. We asked to speak with the manager, a guy named Tanner with a man-bun and he didn't seem to give a hoot. He apologized but that was it. Have a nice evening!! We will not recommend this place to our friends.

Reliably good food and service. Full bar with lots of specials. The staff is always very positive and accommodating. My favorite has become the enchilada plate - smothered green, with a side of guacamole. The chips are crispy and perfectly fried - not oily. The salsa has a nice kick. I do recommend going early as they get very busy and have a wait on the weekend. They just opened a roof top seating area that looks very nice.

I've been here before and I enjoyed it. We were seated in the bar area and watched some football white waiting for our food. The refried beans and salsa was delicious. Unfortunately, that was as good as it was going to get. We ordered the beef taco salad and were disappointed with the serving size at the flavor was just not good. I wish I had the tacos.

We went there for first time and really enjoyed the food. We had Enchilada Plate (3) and beef strew which was all good. They had a balloon artist for kids which was so fun. It seems balloon artist come every Wednesday. Not too busy on Wednesday either.

In the past I have really enjoyed my experiences at Real De Minas! I typically visit the other locations in Montbello and Aurora. I wasn't very impressed with the food or service at this Real De Mina's. I had the Pollo Poblano and it wasn't very flavorful. It was one of those "oh ok" meals. Everyone else in our patty said their food was just ok. While I service was ok, we asked several times for more chips/salsa and everytime we asked we were asked by the waiter if we were "ready to order". It was clear that we were waiting on another member of our party to arrive. Not sure I'll go back to this location. The other locations were better in taste, and overall service.

The food at this place is ok, but the drinks are bomb!!!! Really really good! The service is on point. I can tell by my own experience they are very nice, the place is super inviting and the music is amazing. Margarita's house were delicious especially during sunset time.

Service is pure crap but at least their food is delicious. I rather go to Los Dos Potrillos for so many reasons. Ambiance is not appealing either. When you walk in, they'll just stare you down. No smile, no greeting, nothing. I would still go in a pinch but definitely not bringing any friends or out of town guests here that's for sure. I rather drive the distance to anywhere else. When you arrive you will be immediately judged. They put all the non-Hispanic customers in the small room by the hostess stand and fill that room first before filling the main dining room. On the flip side and already mentioned, their food is fantastic and always served hot and yummy. Even their chips and salsa are great. I have never had a bad plate of food. Just have to wait 10+ minutes for any drink orders and their disdain shows when you just order water. Your level of service goes down and you will have to wait even longer for any refills, to-go boxes or even your final receipt. I have been with friends, out of town guests and even solo. All those visits have been less than desirable. People keep returning for the food and that's it. I'll space out my visits but doubt I'll be back any time soon from the aforementioned experiences.

So I got to check out this place. Sat at the bar which had plenty of seating. I was greeted and helped by Andrea and Alejandro in which we great bartenders: always had a smile, always making sure I had a drink , very very happy with their service. Michilada 9.9/10 Skinny Margarita 9.5/10 I started with the camarón tostada and let me say super delicious , love the kick of jalapeño ( and I don't like spicy to much ) and had so much flavor. I then had the steak fajitas and they were good.. kinda of what to expect from fajitas . Overall this place was a winner when it comes to Mexican food ... I for sure will be coming back

Despite its cryptic name (at least to a non-Mexican/non-Spanish speaker), this is a standard sit down/menus/table salsa/waiter type of Mexican restaurant... on the surface level. Upon closer inspection, there are several things that differentiate this establishment from the rest of them. Let me just say, as a die-hard and life-long Los Dos Portrillos customer, I'd consider this place to be in extremely heated competition with them. They do first impressions well. The table salsa is delicious and spicy, in the running for top 3 in the state. They also give you this bowl of cabbage/imitation crab/chipotle mayo that is delicious and you wouldn't find anywhere else. The drink menu is huge, they have a large list of beer, cocktails, flights... whatever you want to drink, they have it here. Their food menu is huge as well, but the unique thing it has is authentic Mexican staples like aguachille, tripa, buche, lengua, barbacoa and a ton more I'm not remembering. In fact, I ordered the barbacoa smothered burrito and it was hands down the best burrito I've had in Colorado. The meat in the barbacoa was so soft, tender, flavorful... it was a real barbacoa. My advice to everyone at Mexican restaurants like this is to always stick with the chicken or beef burritos/chimichangas/enchiladas. But the menu here really pushes the seafood hard on you. So we went outside our normal routine and got aguachille and seafood enchiladas. And compared to other places the seafood was quite good, but not amazing. The aguachille was flavorful but a little mushy, probably should cooked in the lime juice for a few more hours. There is much better aguachille to be found in Denver. The seafood enchiladas reminded me a lot of clam chowder with the white sauce and generic fish taste. Both seafood dishes were good, but would I get them again, probably not. Definitely better seafood than Los Dos though. So, skip the seafood, go for the barbacoa, go for the drinks, you'll be set here. The vibe is also high energy. It's loud in here as they play modern urban music instead of the generic mariachi. The service is also great, very on top of things and always asking to refill the salsa bowl. Looking forward to coming back.

I seriously dislike leaving reviews such as this. I really want to like this restaurant. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and the atmosphere is festive. But on our first visit with a few friends, our server was attitudinal, inattentive, and acted as if she did us a huge favor splitting our check. When she brought the checks, the orders were mixed up. We just went with it, deciding to pay the difference, but after we waited for what seemed like an eternity for her to pick up our cards and cash us out, she'd switched our cards and the checks! As if all this weren't enough to justify leaving the smallest of tips, I nearly swallowed a staple while eating leftovers the next day. I can't speak for my wife, but I won't go back. read more

Visiting from California. Came here on a Thursday Ishtar and it was dead. Service was very slow. I was able to get the deep fried fish and that was really good. Inside seemed a bit dimmed and kinda felt depressing. read more

We tried Real de Minas on a whim, looking for a different Mexican restaurant to try in Aurora. It was bustling when we walked in on a Friday evening--definitely on the louder side. The restaurant was clean and well staffed. We were seated a table next to the bar downstairs. I enjoyed a draft Dos Equis Amber, looked like the large margaritas are a good size too. The menu was very large and had a wide variety, which was great. I enjoyed the vegetarian taco salad and my spouse had the carne asada. ChIps, salsa, and a spicy slaw were brought for us to enjoy before our entrees. All in all, a good dinner and the food came very quickly. Service was prompt and attentive, but not terribly friendly. That's ok, don't need a best friend to give good service. The place it's very efficiently run. read more

we came in to order table side guacamole and water, the guacamole WAS NOT prepared table side at all.... never got the menus taken off the table, the plates were not given to us till we were almost done VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We will not be back!! read more

Really disappointing meal. Had fish tacos- there was nothing about the fish being breaded and fried in the menu, so that was disappointing. Also there were pieces of lettuce on my plate with black mold. Very mediocre food with some worrying safety standards. read more

I was very excited to try this restaurant Nice atmosphere. Oysters not so great. Average at best. Bacon wrapped shrimp excellent. Mexican steak pretty good above average. Ribs not very good below average Fajitas steak and shrimp very good Tamales below average green chili bland not very good. Service very slow. Over an hour. They were busy. So maybe I caught them under staffed. Overall 3 stars average. I would go back for the steak and shrimp fajitas and bacon wrapped shrimp read more

Great experience. The food was phenomenal. Starting with the complimentary chips & salsa: the salsa was exceptional (the perfect level of spicy) and they brought out some chipotle cole slaw for the chips too which is probably the best cole slaw I've ever eaten. Our waitress (Jaqui) was super friendly and attentive. Service was quick. For entrees, we all got the combos. I was very pleased with my enchilada, relleno, and burrito. The margarita was also delicious and gave me a good and healthy buzz. Prices were very reasonable. read more

On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 3:30, I visited the restaurant and sat down at the bar, which was vacant, with the restaurant being nearly empty. The manager, Alexis, was behind the bar, cleaning liquor bottles, and acknowledged my arrival, but did not offer to serve me. When I asked Alexis if he was the bartender, he stated that Leo was, so I waited for Leo to appear. When Leo finally came out of the kitchen he was, carrying two trays of food, I asked him if he was tending bar, he replied he was not, This situation left me feeling humiliated and very awkward, In my view, Alexis, who was already behind the bar, could have easily taken my order, which was just a beer. I have been going to Minas, for 3 years, I will never return to your establishment, i was so insulted. I believe, as a regular customer, I would have been treated with respect and not ignored, i see the difference between myself and other customers, its a totally different vibe, there is always two sides to the story, feel free to respond to my statement. He needs more management skills and does not know how to interact with co-workers and customers. He should be out there meeting, greeting and assisting. Los Portillo"s is WAY BETTER!! GO THERE! Real De Minas , was REAL good food! I am having fun trying to eat at all the different spots out here and this one definitely hit the spot. They are on point with their Covid measures , at least on my visit. Taking temps , face masks , gloves , sanitizer , limiting dining in, separating tables, cleaning. It felt safe and I enjoyed their dining experience . Server was wonderful. She was always refilling drinks, chips, salsa. Had the carnita tacos , not dry at all , perfect flavor. No cocktails this visit. Enchiladas combo was ordered , nachos plate, also ordered fried cream. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced bill. I will return for sure. read more

Dinner for two, yes please! The cucumber mint margarita was perfect, Real de Minas Mexican Restaurant Did not disappoint. We enjoyed the Parrillada de Carne Yummo!! For only $48.50 for 2 or $83.50 for 4 you get what you pay for and more! The Grilled chicken was delicious and the beef cooked to perfection, the shrimp was so good (wish they put more in) it was served with grilled onion, bell peppers and chile toreados. I loved the side of frijoles churros, and the baked potato topped with butter and sour cream, queso fundido (choice of chorizo or Anaheim pepper) and choice of flour or corn. We got the peppers and flour tortillas. I HIGHLY recommend this dish, we brought the rest home and it was our lunch the next day. Well with the price! Thank you we will be coming back again soon. read more

Ok this is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Colorado. I had the asada chimichanga and my mom had the super nachos and both were so yummy!!! The meat in the chimi was seasoned perfectly and was also cooked perfectly. It was stuffed with meat as well and that was a huge plus seeing that some places skimp on the meat. The green chili on top was amazing as well. My moms nachos were also so good!! It had so much topping and that's how I like my nachos so they were phenomenal. The salsa and cabbage dip were both awesome as well and both had a little kick to them. I definitely want to come back here for lunch again. The service is great and they are very fast about getting the food out. This is an awesome Mexican restaurant so if you want a good variety and great food you need to come here! read more

We have been to Real De Minas many times but this is the last. The manager Julieta was a pure Witch!! I mean she had no compassion after they cross contaminated my FULL CHICKEN MEAL by adding chunks of GROUND BEEF to my Enchilada and after finishing my drink I found a plastic container top in the bottom of my cup!!! I tried not to complain about the drink because I was more focused on the food being sooo badly made. She gave me 4.99 off but thats No Consolation When I try to order more food and they kept putting beef in it after I said IDont Eat beef I only eat chicken!!! Now back at home and my stomach is cramping an im going to the bathroom repeatedly I called back to inform her, all she said is let me see a bill from the doctor. No sorry or anything so Needless to say my family and friends will NEVER BE GOING BACK To deal with a unprofessional, mean, uptight person like Julieta! It's sad that we have had such a terrible experience on a day my family was celebrating My fiancé's graduation. Thanks to you JULIETA She's at the Briarwood location!! read more

Deserves zero stars. Prices have gone up, yet the quality of the food has gone down. I spent $50 on trashy food and terrible service. Our server obviously had no idea what was going on. It was slow when we arrived, yet it took 10 minutes to be greeted and when asked questions about the menu, he had zero clue. My carne asada torta was 100% fat and onions. Gross. Did the server bother to ask how our food was? No. We had to bother the lady cleaning off the table just to get some waters. We left a 10% tip to be nice. We used to love the food and atmosphere here. I won't be stepping foot in this restaurant again. read more

This place was so disappointing. My Michelada was horrible- which was one of the things I was looking forward to. It was so bland and on the sweeter side. If you ask me it wasn't a Michelada at all. The Ceviche that they said "was the best" was gross and once again, I wouldn't even consider it Ceviche. The loaded fries were covered in grease, the steak was eh, and everything other than the salsa had a very sweet taste imo. Save yourself the money and go somewhere else. The wait times for the food was long, but it was busy when I went. The only redeeming quality was the staff. They were really nice. read more

I really wanted to like this place....but I can't. Salsa and chips were great, and so was my margarita. We ordered our meal, and literally it came out to our table within 5 minutes. There is no way they cooked it that quickly other than microwaving it. Unfortunately my wife's meal was still cold and needed to be returned to the kitchen for further heating. Because of this, she changed her mind and decided not to eat. My chimichanga had pink ground beef and I opted to not eat mine either. It was very disappointing. read more

Went to lunch with my daughter. I ordered Taco Salad w/ground beef. Groud beef needs to be drained after cooking. Made the taco bowl fall apart. Lettuce should be on top of beef, since it was soggy from hot beef and there wasn't much lettuce in there. So by the time I started eating it it was a soggy mess. Lee S. read more

Came in on Wednesday night for kids eat free and it was such a great experience. The service was good and the food came fast. We enjoyed everything that we tried and would like to try a few more things. If there's one drawback is it was a little more expensive ($4 for a soft drink?!) then some other options but with getting our kids food for free it was worth it. read more

The FOOD is always amazing. My family and I definitely go to this restaurant for the food, KNOWING the service is crap and yesterday was no different. It took 15 minutes for us to be acknowledged and even then it was by a food runner or Busser and not the server. We had baskets of chips before even getting a drink order going. The Busser/food runner brought us drinks and we had to ask for a server. The server who took our order avoided us like the plague. The Busser/food runner kept our drinks full and checked on us then randomly some woman came to ask if the food was ok and when we asked the Busser who that was she said that was our server. Our bill was over $100 however I tipped the Busser over $20 and left $3 for the table. Why should I tip the server who came to our table once or twice to take a plate away. No, I'm a server myself and I would never treat a customer like we were treated and expect to be tipped. read more

The Carne Asada plate is so bomb! The steak is so juicy, the rice is flavorful, the jalapeños are spicy, and the onions are perfect! I also got a mango Mojito that I felt instantly which is always a good sign lol. If you're looking for true authentic Mexican food with outstanding flavor and a full bar than this is the place for you! read more

Phenomenal drinks, great food and a fun atmosphere. Not going to lie, the Ceviche and Carnitas could have used a little salt, the flavor was a little lacking, but the drinks were on point and the Chorizo Fundido was great as well. Get here early, the unfortunate reality is with 25% capacity and zero reservations you may have to wait upwards of 90-120 minutes. Extra credit for the bean dip with chips and salsa - not many restaurants here in Denver Metro appreciate that as a side and it's well appreciated. read more

We've been going to Real de Minas for years. My wife found that it's as close to the Mexican food you'd find in southern California than anywhere else we've been. Their service is always great, their bean dip is incredible, and we never have any issues with our meals. I regularly get their carne asada plate, and my wife usually gets their steak flautas or steak fajitas. Their margaritas was incredibly tasty and are often a tad strong. Two will do it. Definitely check it out if you want quality Mexican food. read more

terrible food terrible service. a true waste of money. Chilie rellenos were terrible had some weird taste to them. Rice was clumpy and terrible. salad Bowl fajitas were flavorless and the worst I've ever had. The service was terrible. From beginin;g to end. Me and my husband are regulars and usually rave about Real. This time we invited family only to be embarrassed and disappointed. Fajitas were all vegetables and barely any stake or chicken. Our $15 Margaritas were not made as advertised, Missing, which to me what I was excited for, The Chamoy and Tajin trim and tamarindo straw. Our server said they never used it in that drink and when I ask to just add it to my bill she back tracked and said they ran out . Some one in our party also was shorted a request on their drink that was repeated and take by our server. We had to hunt down our check after quite some time after finishing our meal. read more

I decided to try this place out again as my step-dad wanted to try it out. Again, I was disappointed with the service. We showed up for brunch at 9:30 and were one of two tables in the entire restaurant. Like last time, the food didn't sit well with me and our server (different one this time) messed up our order. My stepdad ordered the steak skillet and it came with chicken. We weren't helped for over 15 minutes so he gave up trying to get our server's help and just ate what they gave us. We told our server about it when she finally came over but we did not expect them to make a new meal since he already ate what they brought. I can't figure out how so many people at one restaurant with so many staff members can be so consistent with messing up orders. Again, I do not plan on coming back to this restaurant. read more

I neglected to take food pics when we dined on 2/4 simply because the couple that we were with gets uncomfortable with phones at the table so I respected that. We had a usual good dining experience and the food was good and came out quickly as it always does. Let's get into why I only have 3 stars... Hubby ordered posole and asked for extra pig feet. Upon the food being brought to the table, he is stirring his soup and notices that there are no traces of any pig feet in there so he asks the waitress and she says "If there aren't any in there it must be because we don't have any but I'll go check". She goes to the kitchen and comes back out and says "Yeah, we don't have any". The unfortunate thing is the pig feet is what my husband looks forward to the most when he eats posole which is why he requested extra. He asks if the price will be adjusted and she responds that there won't be any accommodations for the inconvenience. Had he known there were no pig feet, he wouldn't have ordered the posole at all. We have a phobia about sending food back to the kitchen so he kept his soup. Although it was good, it wasn't 100% satisfying due to the circumstances. It would have been nice had he at least been considered for accommodations. Otherwise, everything else was very great as usual. read more

I've been to New Orleans and love the food there, and Jessie's brings that same authentic flavor and atmosphere. Other people were sat around us, so we waited to ask for the happy hour menu. We ordered the chef's choice charcuterie, a cocktail, and a glass of wine. The drinks and board were yum, but not quite a wine bar as there were very limited option by the glass. Also, we had to ask for plates and silverware where this is a basic item. While deciding on dinner, we were approached a couple times by the 2 servers in the section. One was friendly, the other, not so much, rather indifferent and made us feel a little uncomfortable and not very welcome. This kind of set the tone for the rest of our night. We ordered the "family share" chateaubriand. We realize this is an expensive cut, but the portion is definitely not a sharing cut, around 4 oz. It is closer to a single entree. When it arrived, the plate was cold, like the meat was lukewarm and the cauliflower was ice cold. Again, we had to ask for silverware and plates for this "family style shareable" plate. We brought the cauliflower temperature up with the server and got new cauliflower after we were done with the rest of the meal. Also, I sat with an empty wine glass and no one stopped to ask if I needed another glass. When the servers did stop by, it was a short interaction and we never even had a chance to ask before they were already walking away. We saw so many people come in and out that they must be doing something right, but for us, our experience was mediocre. If our meal would have been the correct temperature (it was well prepared, just cold) and better execution on the service, we may have had a better experience.

I was very impressed with the new building and how bright and clean it was. The receptionist was great but then it began, we were having a birthday party for eight people the service was terrible the food came out cold never could get anybody to help us. Even the bartender wasn't very helpful when I asked if we could get a waiter. You would have thought this was a new business and they've been in business for years. We found them to have a little bit of an attitude like we're blessed to be there. About five years ago I visited their old location and felt the same way I guess they just carried that moved over to the new one. Absolutely no customer service. There's a lot of other little options in that shopping center I would've preferred to have spent my money. We overheard the waiter arguing with a customer that he didn't give back the credit card when in fact he had forgotten. I have enjoyed happy hour here in the past, but our experience at Real de Minas for dinner was underwhelming. We were seated quickly near the bar, but the noise level made it difficult to converse. When the music was turned on, it became even harder to hear each other. The house margarita seemed weak in alcohol content. Our food took 15 minutes to arrive and my chimichanga was not what I had ordered. Another member of our party also received the wrong dish. After flagging down our waiter, the correct meals were eventually brought out, but no compensation was offered for the mix-up. On top of that we received horrible service. Our waiter (Jessica) never brought us silverware we had to ask someone else for it. We all needed refills and she never came up to us. To top it off we had to go up to her in order for us to get a refill which she got up bothered and went back to her table all bothered whispering something to the person next to her. I'm sorry but that is HER job to serve US that's why we came to eat. We were all pretty disappointed. Hopefully someone knocks some sense into this girl because one day she's gonna run into the wrong person. read more

The new location, looks great, but The food does not make up for it. A group of us Came in for happy hour and it was horrific right from the beginning. The service was slow, the appetizers were cold and the tacos didn't have any "wow" factor to them. They mention that do they table side guacamole, but when we ordered it they didn't make it table side.... they brought it from the back. I will have to come back and try it again another time, but for the meantime I'll stick to my favorite places in Parker. read more

This restaurant is by far my favorite. I go to all locations but this one is the prettiest. The food servings are large and the Margaritas the BEST!!..My experience with my server Lina Is Excellent, as she is very attentive to my needs as a customer. She is smiling alot and making me feel welcome and appreciated. I recommend, if you like Mexican food, come here and eat and you can ask for server Lina to complete your positive experience! read more

Estas son las fotos del supueto chile relleno, ni siquiera es un chile jalapeño completo, es al parecer tortilla o masa rellena de queso, lo peor que me a tocado en un restaurante mexicano, Real de minas, es lo peor de lo que he visto aquí en Colorado, es el que está en la Parker y Arapahoe rd, no se si esto lo hacen en todas, es una porquería de comida, lo que les hacen creer a los que no saben de buena comida. read more
