By Monday 5/25/26, I noticed a red spot on his right hip area. Due to Memorial Day weekend, I had to wait until today, Tuesday 5/26/26, to bring him into the vet to be seen. What I initially thought was a small irritated red spot turned into a widespread infection across his entire back requiring shaving, medication, and additional follow-up visits and expenses. The vet diagnosed him with an infection consistent with a staph infection that was likely caused by moisture being trapped against the skin, likely from not being dried properly at our Friday grooming visit. After shaving nearly his entire back, seeing the extent of the infection was shocking! I reached out to the groomer to make them aware of the situation and to discuss getting help with the vet expenses and refunding the grooming fee. Unfortunately, Stacy, was extremely unprofessional and rude during the conversation, she refused to offer any financial assistance towards the vet expenses that I have now incurred, while also repeatedly stating that NO SKIN CONDITION WAS SEEN DURING THE GROOMING VISIT, which only further validates that the infection wasn't there prior, she ultimately hung up on me. Stacy tried to say it would take weeks for an infection like this to appear, however that is false. Dogs can get extensive involvement within 2-5 days. The lesions are very inflamed and superficial, rather than old and scarred. The widespread redness with the small, raised bumps and irritated skin can absolutely develop over just a few days if moisture is trapped under a dense coat. Furthermore, if this infection had been present on Friday prior to the grooming visit, it definitely would have been seen. In addition to this review, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau along with filing a claim in small court for a full reimbursement. Pet owners deserve to know my experience and to use caution before trusting their animals to be groomed here.

Ever since moving to San Diego, we took him to the La Mesa Petco where they did a horrible job. I am very picky with my dog getting groomed, but I am so beyond happy with Alexis and the service she provided my dog, Gussy. But my little girl was alert and rest to go and I was distracted by her a little to keep her calm after surgery so either I missed stuff or wasn't told some things. The only thing I wished is that they would have explained aftercare and handed me the meds and then brought her out.

Why does the online system not make you do that then and why would I have called to change the appointment if I was planning on canceling? The receptionist was a bit snarky about it too after I said I couldn't pay that today. I take that as a sign that I would have had a bad experience, so on to another vet that cares.

They did not smile or greet me or my dogs and nor show no love towards them what so ever. The son hangs out there. He is rude and the place looks run down and is musty. Do not go there, I have been to much better groomers. I can imagine how they treat the dogs when I'm not there based on first impressions.

It was about half as much as I had been charging at the other places AND she comes to US! So we figured we would give it a try, seeing as how at the time I was 8 months pregnant and didn't want the bother of dragging the dogs there and back. She came and set up on our back porch and was so wonderful to our pups! I could not have found a nicer lady and our dogs get the personal time and attention that they deserve, rather than being snipped clipped and thrown in a cage with a giant blower on them (like at PETCO). We have been using them now for a good year and a half and couldn't be more pleased every time they leave. We are going into our second child any day now and have gained a dog in the mean time so like I said earlier, not having to take the dogs across town and pick them up is A LIFE SAVER!!! I have a senior dog she's 17 years old and so my dog requires a lot of extra care and that is exactly what he gives her. His demeanor and personality is exactly what my dogs need. He's very cool calm and collected and that rubs off on the dogs and makes their grooming, way less stressful. He's very kind and workable and responsive and I just can't stress how much he cares about the dogs and it is very much reflected in how my dog behaves during her experience with him. He has a way with dogs and he truly cares about the animals well-being, which is the most important part! I can't recommend him enough. He's a great person and a great groomer highly recommend!
