I love this pet store. They are very friendly and informative. I just rescued a puppy and I am working on training him. I came in looking for an alternative chew toy because the bully sticks I was buying were very expensive. McKayla was helpful from start to finish and introduced me to these treats called collagen sticks that are a fraction of the price of a bully stick. I love this place and what healthy options it has. Sad story but my cat Otis was dying of cancer since diagnosed since September and I had bought a lot of food since he was on steroids and he was eating a lot more than normal. He has since passed on 12/26 unfortunately and finally got my strength to see if I could return anything or donate. The manager there is amazing and had such empathy for me and gave me a full refund on what I had leftover and was so kind through my whole process since September when I got the news on his health. I love coming here! The staff are so sweet and helpful and seem to love what they do. There are so many selections for dogs, cats, reptiles, hamsters, etc. I love their freezer treat/ food options and always seem to have what I am looking for. They have an okay selection on healthy foods and treats. Wish they had more raw food options. However, my biggest complaint is towards the rude lady in charge (the one with the mullet). Talk about great small business that cares for their customers! I started coming here when I lived in Lakeside as it was the closest store that had reptile food in my area and was highly recommended. Well, when I say they go above and beyond for you they truly do! They have special ordered stuff for my bearded dragon that was not carried in stock and the best part is they did not mark up the price either. I was very pleased to say the least! Always greeted with a smile and the staff has always been great about answering any questions. They maintained great customer service during our COVID bad days protecting both customers and employees and that means a lot! We have since moved from Lakeside but dont mind driving the 30 minutes to Santee just to go to their store because they're that awesome! read more

This is the best local store! They sell high quality pet food. I don't always write reviews, but I knew I had to write a glowing review because this is one of the only places that sells food that I need to buy for my cat. This store has helped my cat so much (who has food allergies). I am so grateful for this place. My cat used to develop these weird lesions all over her skin, and she wasn't her usual self and not feeling well. After many vet trips trying everything we could to help our kitty, we found out that she is allergic/sensitive to additives in some big brand pet foods. After doing research, I learned about different ingredients in pet foods that can cause health issues for pets. I learned about the concept of human-grade pet food (meaning that the food is technically edible for humans because all the ingredients are approved by the FDA for human consumption). Pet grade food has different standards. Well, All 4 Pets sells natural and human-grade cat food that my cat can eat--food that I can't find at either Petco or PetSmart. I had been looking everywhere for good pet food for her! I'm so glad I found this place. My cat feels so much better, she is more playful and more like herself again, and she also loves her new food, which is great because she can sometimes be finicky, lol. They carry EVO brand foods (gluten-corn-soy-grain-and-rice free!) as well as many, many other natural brands. They have such a huge toy and treat selection for all your pets, including a new cold case for raw pet food! The best is their friendly service and adorable mascot (see pictures). First off, I don't really care if it's a chain or a small business, when it comes to a pet store, my focus is my dog. I originally started coming here for a new food I was switching my dog to. They were the only carriers in Santee, and they had reasonable prices. Honestly, I don't love this place, but I don't dislike it. The staff is hit or miss: sometimes they completely ignore me, and other times they're nice, helpful, and pleasant. I do feel that when my dog is with me in the store, that I get more of the former response; like they're annoyed I brought my dog into a store catered for pets. Overall I'm not wowed by anything there. I could care less about the service they give to me, but when it comes to my dog, at least PRETEND you like animals. read more

This store has a lot of great products for animals that you can't find anywhere else. I go there for my dog's food because it's close by and no one else really carries it. Plus they have a great iguana to look at. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because of the girls behind the counter and their crappy customer service. I was struggling to carry over a full size bag of dog food to the counter. They didn't even bother looking up for a second to ask if I needed help. On top of it I had to place it ON the counter. The chick at the register couldn't bother looking over the counter for the price. They don't scan bar codes or anything, they have a ghetto cash register! I didn't need to break my back because of her lack of customer service. Avoid the generic big box experience of the two other pet stores in Santee and shop at a store with so much personality that a giant iguana will meet you at the front counter! Our family of three dogs, two cats, and two hamsters have been shopping here for years. The staff has always been extremely helpful and knowledgable. They can answer questions and offer useful advice. Michelle helped us select food and treats as we diagnosed a cat's allergy. We now special order a brand of cat food that they normally do not stock. She orders us our own bag monthly, so when we come by to restock on supplies, our bag is waiting with other custom orders. In the past, they have also special ordered extra scented Jolly Balls for us to give as gifts. We love trying new brands of healthy canned food and stock up during monthly promotions. If they don't have what you are looking for they are willing to offer to order it. The customer service needs an overhaul. Would it kill you to smile or be friendly? If it will by all means continue what you're doing. When I come into a small business I expect the employees to be personable. Not too much to ask, is it? On every occasion that I have been in this store the staff is not rude by any means but they just don't seem to be very happy, just going through the motions. I actually don't mind paying a bit more to support a small business, especially in Santee, where everyone is obsessed with big-box, chain, franchise, cookie-cutter BS. I prefer independent stores over chains. I don't live in Santee, but will come here if I'm in town. Every month, they have a special on dog food, it's one of the higher-end brands such as Blue Buffalo. Additionally, they run a monthly drawing, such as $50 GC for a local restaurant. It's usually in association with that month's monthly food special, so I'm cool with that. They have a frequent buyer program. I agree there's one girl working there who has a less than helpful attitude, but everyone else is nice. I used to occasionally buy my crickets here when I had my beardie, priced on par with Petco. The iguana is worth a trip alone, I wish I could hold him. He's big and cool. Decent selection of dog and cat food, especially high-end. I like the broken dog treat specials, usually a dollar or two per bag. I often break them up at home anyway. read more
