The house was an extreme disappointment with 40+ safety and broken items starting with exposed wires in the front and rear yards, missing door hinges, scotch tape holding a chair leg, blood stains on bedsheets, piles of trash in the 3rd garage area, broken off swimming pool room door, exterior A/C unit with wires sticking out the top, patio support post rotted away at the bottom, toilet roll holders missing in all bathrooms, bugs in light fixtures, cold room with no heat whatsoever...the list goes on. After the first night our group was disgusted. We checked around but no large property was available at the last minute since we already paid in full and if we found another place didn't have the immediate funds to rent another place so we stuck it out, made a list of deficiencies with extensive photos and filed a Compensation Request Form online. To date there has been no response. A letter outlining the issues to Destination Arizona at the listed address of 7077 E. Marilyn Rd STE 130, Scottsdale AZ. was mailed. It was resent twice but came back "RETURN TO SENDER-VACANT UNABLE TO FORWARD" At this juncture I went to the website DestinationAZVacations.com to the chat. I saw the house,52nd Gateway, on the site. The chat response was they couldn't help with anything except booking. My last try will be to send our complaint to another address with the same name though it appears to be a residential single family home. If no response I will contact VRBO with my serious complaint. I am a VRBO Premier Host in Florida and would be ashamed to rent a house in such poor condition.

Greg, the owner, came out with his wife for the initial consultation, walked us through the different options, and helped us pick colors and styles that matched each room without ever making us feel pressured. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for motorized blinds, and the turnaround was excellent. Our blinds arrived in about two weeks, and installation couldn't have gone smoother. Greg was in and out in less than an hour, everything worked perfectly before he left, and there wasn't a single thing to clean up afterward. The property is the Strawberry Cabin - Fire Pit, Fireplace & Pets on VRBO and AirBNB. I fully expect to get trashed for leaving this review as Brenden Hesser attempted to intimidate and he threatened me when I told him I was looking forward to sharing my experience. While this is a cute home, it is not what is advertised and it is not being well maintained. The fireplace never worked correctly and this is you main heat when it's cold (it is a gas fireplace) when the handyman came out to "fix" it, he told me the reason there is no flame is because the glass of the fireplace is filthy on the inside and, unfortunately, there was no way for me to access this to clean it and he did not. The TV didn't work and needed service by the handyman. The cabin is also not remote like the description suggests. The location is nice, it's just not what is in the description. It is a nice sub-division not a remote getaway in the woods. We were also without water for about 2 hours on our second day. The handyman said they have been servicing the water throughout the development all week but no one thought to tell me that prior to booking. The towels also smelled so badly that I had to wash them prior to using them. I plan on reporting this to VRBO and other agencies to hold Hesser accountable and make sure people know what they buy. Realtors in AZ are held to a higher standard. I am thankful Visa protects my purchase. Now I suppose I wait for the promised retaliation.
