I am not a huge fan of beer but I really like their Black Nitro Stout. It is great! The inside is rather small but they do have outside seating and usually a food truck to help fill you up. They have a wide variety that you can find something you like. Not a lot of room but on a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy. Stop by and check out. Worth your time and if you like your craft beers you will enjoy it. read more

Reaver Beach Brewing Company is good! They had a large collection of beers on tap, which was impressive. In particular, they had 2 sour beers on tap, which are my favorite, so I was very pleased with that. The service was good, and the place wasn't too crowded. The tap room opens at 4, and when we entered at 4:30, there were only about 5 people there. However, by 5:30, the place was busier, and there were about 25 people total, but it was never too crowded. I came with my mother, and unfortunately, she found the stools to be too uncomfortable. There was a couch alternative, but it sits really far back from the table and isn't particularly useful because of that. I've been to other breweries with board games or cards available, and I think that would be nice here, too. Overall, I recommend, especially if you like sour beers! read more

A must stop brewery if your are in the area. The Hoptopus is amazing, so good! I've never had any issue with the service here as some have mentioned. My biggest regret of RB Brewing is that I am not a local, I live on the other side of the country, follow them on Facebook and am always sad to be missing out on the fun and deliciousness that this brewery pumps out. read more

When you think of Virginia Beach, there are thoughts of sand, water, shops and dives. Well this little brewery is not close to any of that. It's located on the outskirts of the beach areas in what is left of VA Beach suburbs. You might want to plug in the GPS to find this one, especially if you're coming from NC as I was. Once there, it has a very small tasting area up front and the brewery is in the back. I've only had their wheat beer but my son likes several of thier brews. I know they have growlers but not sure if they have any smaller bottles. It's well worth a visit for some local craft brewed beer. read more

Nice little brewery! It's a small cozy space so I wouldn't go with a large group, there is some outside seating but it is very limited. All the taps are rotating so more likely than not they will have something new every time! Also, helps that there is a nice food truck usually outside so if you get that craving. As part of my birthday weekend, I wanted to hit as many breweries as possible. Had not been down to beach before, so that was one of my must stop locations. I REALLY wanted to like this place, the staff working the bar were very nice and the really neat bar top made out of who knows how many pennies are the things that make me give this a generous 3 stars. They had 4 beers on tap when we were there, looked like they had the ability to have up to 8. The problem that I had was not the quantity of beers, the problem was that they were just very run of the mill, nothing interesting. Both their IPA and Double IPA were nothing but bitter, no depth of character, except for piney bitterness. I'm not looking for something crazy and off the wall, but I think craft beer has moved to the point that I expect more out of an IPA than just bitterness. The other two beers were an average milk stout and an average imperial Red. The place seemed like it had a good following and as I said, the staff was great. May give them another shot to see if something changes, but the craft beer landscape is getting so awesome in VA, might not be willing to spend another weekend out this way. read more

The only reason I deducted a star is cause one of the employees spent a decent amount of time badmouthing other local breweries. Best brewery in va beach. Awesome manager. We talked everything from super heroes to football to local eats and breweries. The beet was ridiculous delicious and wonderfully priced. A neighbor told us about this brewery that is new to the area. My girlfriend and I were in for an afternoon adventure so we decided to try their beer at their tasting room at the brewery. It was a great decision. The beer was good and we happened to come when the head brewer and owner were manning the taps. They couldn't have been nicer. They took time to explain all the styles and even told us about upcoming local brewing events. We hope we didn't overstay our welcome but they made us feel so welcome and we were having such a great time talking with them that we stayed much longer than we had planned. read more

This place is a closet, but they've actually done a great job with the layout in order to accommodate seating. The aesthetic and branding seem spot on, very clean and modern with rustic touches, but service falls flat. Upon entering Beach Brewing Company we were greeted rather indifferently with a, "Can I help you?" that left us feeling a bit unwanted. The guy that runs this place was nice enough but seemed more concerned with what appeared to be his friends/family seated at the bar, poured our tasting and left us to it, which was good because there was no need to mask our distaste for the brew. The Hurricane Wheat was decent, but the IPA and Summer Seasonal were unanimously disliked by our group of four (two of which love a good IPA). We all had to choke down the Imperial Stout, no thanks pal. To BBC's credit, both the Hoptopus (which we had been anxious to try based on Yelp reviews) and the Riptide were both sold out, so there is no telling whether those would have gained more favor. read more

The beer was delicious. However, the service was rude. I had never been here before and ordered a flight from the guy behind the bar. He scoffed and said he hates when people order tasters. I what's never heard this before responded that I wanted to try as many of their beers as possible. My friend and I enjoyed the beers but after tasting at other locations over the course of the afternoon couldn't finish all of them. As we walked out the door and said thank you, I heard the server say to the bar rudely, "I hate when people don't finish their beers." The place was full of men and maybe there's a reason for that, as they clearly don't know how to treat women. I found this very rude and unfortunate because their beers were good. read more

Really disappointing experience. We showed up to enjoy some craft beer. The sign out front said that the place would close at 7pm for a private party. We got there at 6:47pm. The bar tender refused to serve us because he said last call was at 6:20. Despite this being our first visit to the establishment he told us that we had to leave. He didn't even offer to give us a couple of tasters to get our business in the future. This is clearly a company that is not interested in a positive customer experience. We had 6 in our party that will never spend the time to try this place again. read more

Very small tasting room with good opening hours, nestled in a warehouse industrial zone outside of VA Beach. Ample free parking. Only room inside for about 6-8 people. 5 Taps on when I was there. You can get a flight of 4 at a time. Beer quality was average to slightly above average. The DIPA and RIS were both very nice. The Berliner and others quite odd with the Altbier lacto infected. They sold two bottles to go, their DIPA and a one-off BA Barleywine. Growler fills as well as keg sales. Staff was I guess not so interested in chatting with us or seemingly not very happy to have us there despite us being 2 of 4 people inside the crammed space. The staff - I figured out from reading the newspaper articles on the walls - were the husband/wife owners and brewers it seems. Overall, the Reaver Beach Brewing stuff was hard to find in bottles around town and was barely on tap anywhere in the vicinity, so this was really the only way to try their stuff. Prices were good- $5 for 4 sample flight and $3-5 a full glass pour. You can do 64oz growler fills or 32oz "grenade" fills. read more

The prices are average, with a couple of beers on the pricey side. But the beer was good. It is not a big place so I would go on off days. Had a work-related happy hour event here. The beer was a huge hit, as was the wood fire grilled pizza that was being served outside. Everyone loved the atmosphere--attractive but not pretentious. Comfortable, open, lots of seating. Great location. Everything was pretty seamless. read more
