We walked in really excited to try this restaurant as it's close to home and looks nice. Our expectations were far too high. We were seated at a table that was extremely close to another table. I then moved the table to get some room and noticed the amazly wobbly table held up by about 12 total coasters. We decide to just move to a bar seat. I asked to see The beer list and the waitress tells me they don't have one. She asked me to mention what beers I like, We then decide on one and then she hands me the non-alcoholic version of it that I did not want and they don't have the alcoholic version of it. We ordered the steak and the salmon with the premium sides. I can't tell you how bad this was. The steak was not cooked correctly nor seasoned. The mashed potatoes were amazingly horrible. They blended cheese, garlic and what has to be instant mashed potatoes together for the garlic mashed potatoes, It tastes like a chemical spill.The brussel sprouts weren't fully cooked far from grilled and had no seasoning. The salmon I ordered was way overcooked. The term nursing home food will be associated with this restaurant as that's what it tastes like. The manager was really good and agreed that there were massive problems. Our waitress was amazingly uncaring And when we asked her about our food, before we got the manager, not tasting good she just said that's how it comes out. After this kind of experience you kind of look around. Try to figure out what's going on. This is a really nice looking restaurant .We noticed that most of the waitresses were on the much younger side and would appear to be only two men were on the floor and one of them was a manager and I assume the other was the owner. Then I started looking at the reviews for this amazingly rated restaurant. Then I noticed that they had ran some contests to counteract all the bad reviews that they're getting. In conclusion, this restaurant knows how bad of a job they're doing, they know how bad their food is, they know how bad their service is and They're focusing their efforts to maintain good reviews not cooking good food And delivering good service. Sunday snack day The Works 14 pizza was enough for 2 adults and fantastic with a crispy crust and nice blend of flavors (could have used a bit more veggies). Cheese pizza, a delish simple pie baked perfectly w a taste of char. The chicken and waffles were a huge hit, the syrup yummy, and the dish was super filling. Extensive menu and fairly reasonable pricing has put this in our top 7 rotation. We eat out a LOT! read more

If I could - this place would be more of a 3.5-3.75 rating...... Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick bite - sharing wings and a salad with my wife. Salad was good - could have had more toppings. (Had plenty of chicken) Wings - we ordered Garlic Parm and Cajun. Garlic were fine - nothing to write home about. Cajun were advertised as being up there on the heat scale - and they were mild at best. Staff appeared to be friendly. Bartender waited on us and chatted us up while we were there. This is a review of their catering from May 14th. The catering consisted of salad, tortilla wraps, bag of onion flavored potato chips, cookies, Red Diamond Ice Tea. 1. The salad, first off was not an appetizing dish to look at. The greens they used looked heavily wilted, and nasty. The dressing they used on the salad played a part, it was too heavy for the delicate greens used. I wish I had a photo, words cannot describe. It was a very depressing looking salad. 2. Tortilla Wraps were okay, nothing special. Single layer of spinach or some type of greens, a single layer of lunch meet, cheese, and WAY TOO MUCH MAYO. This was an offering I could make at home and have when I was a struggling poor college student. 3. Deep River Onion flavored potato chips. Know your audience, this was a catered business meeting. Do you think we all wanted onion breath? Just go with the best stand by for all lunch catered events. Lay's Original Potato Chips, stop attempting to look classy by bringing some no-named chips not found regularly in stores. 4. UPDATE MAY 18: FOUND OUT THAT THE COOKIES WERE PURCHASED FROM SAMS CLUB. Cookies, so disappointing. What you thought was a chocolate chip cookie, NOPE Blueberry, Peanut Butter, NOPE some weird flavored cookie. Sugar, NOPE some citrus flavored offering. Had I known going into it that this was an attempt to be gourmet, great the cookies were the best part of the catering. But this was a situation like when you are expecting to taste Sprite or 7UP but you mistakenly pick up your water glass. C- for overall rating. My husband and I came tonight July 3 2024 to try it out. The food was descant but the service lack. Our waiter was friendly when he first came to take our order but after getting our food we had to ask for refills on our drinks he came by the table twice after receiving our food. We had to get a refills from another waiter. Our waiter was Gavin. I believe he needs more training. We usually leave a better tip he got 10%. We will probably not be back nor do I think I would refer my friends or co workers. Atmosphere was distant also. read more

This was our fourth visit here. They have really upped their game since they opened! Star was an amazing server! She met us at the door and did a wonderful job seeing that we had everything we needed! The food has been fantastic every time, from the oysters, shrimp, and other apps. I had read several bad reviews but still wanted to try it. I ordered a pizza and side salad. I was under the impression that adding a salad was $2.50 at lunch. My friend and I both got one and while the ranch dressing was good, the quantity was severely lacking. I said, "At least it's just $2.50." We both ordered 10" pizzas. It took forever and finally our server came and told us they were having oven issues. Right at that time we heard a buzz and she tells us that must be our pizzas. She left and finally returned about ten minutes later with our pizzas. Mine was lukewarm, almost cold. We get our bill and notice we have been charged $5.50 for our tiny salad. Apparently, since we didn't order from the lunch menu, although it was cheaper to get the works pizza instead of adding toppings to the lunch pizza. I have to say I probably won't return. Rebar is a nice restaurant/bar. Family friendly with a good kids menu too. The food is amazing and not what or group expected in a place like this. We got the Won Ton Chips and Queso, Pizza rolls, Onion sticks and a pizza. All were excellent and completely original. Our waitress was excellent also, very fast and friendly even though the place was busy. Oh and I ordered a Smoked Old Fashioned and I honestly think it's the best one I've ever had. All of the food we've tried has been great. We've gone with friends. Fish and chips..great. Seemed to be freshly breaded. Not "wet " like frozen fish often is. The pizza (the works, and pepperoni) were great. Decent crust. Our friends both got meatloaf and liked it. Drinks great so far, longer island..just what it says. Mango margarita with jalapeño. Yummy ...delicious and just right.(with pepper). So far no losers, which is saying something for this town. Service was attentive. Ambiance was fine. It's all pretty casual. Visited tonight for the second time to watch an evening KC Chiefs game. They have a good advertised beer special of $7 pitchers during all NFL and NCAA football games. The last time we visited we were charged $15 for a pitcher after the game was over, shame on us. Tonight, near the end of the game, we ordered a pitcher and remarked that we didn't want any of that expensive beer after the game was over. Our server, who was great all night, advised us that the beer had already reverted to the normal prices. We questioned this as the game was tied with 30 seconds left and could go on for quite a while. Our server advised that the special was over and showed us that her mobile order console showed that the pricing for the in-game promotion was not available. We politely explained that the game was still going, and could go on for an indefinite amount of time. Our server apologized and explained that she couldn't do anything about it. We had determined that this would be our last outing here and I was in the middle of this review when another employee approached our table and apologized for the problem and assured us that they would fix their error for next time and would comp us a few beers next time we come in for a game. This caused me to bump the review from a 2 to a 4 and I may now be back. read more

my sister and I love "bar" food. we tried this place . the service by Lillian was fantastic! we ordered fried mushrooms and onion straws along with the seafood ravioli. mushrooms and onions were so salty we had to send the onion straws back. painfully salty. mushrooms were also salty. raviloi was ok but not great. we got the check and they charged us for the onion straws! we won't be back! we were so disappointed. 53.00 dollars a bit much! read more
