After looking at many locations for a place to eat, I decided on Rebru for some BBQ. As the pictures looked promising, I settled on the BBQ Brisket Plate ($20) and ordered coleslaw for my two sides. For the plate, the presentation seemed lackluster and I didn't get that feeling where I was excited to eat this meal. When I tried the brisket, it had a really good smokey flavor to it. The texture of the meat, however, was so dry though. The slaw had pineapple, which I know, controversial. It made it very sweet and tarte, which just wasn't my taste. As for the service, the waitress was really sweet and accommodating. I tried to like the plate, but I could not finish this. If I were here again, I would try their pizza as the reviews are promising.

This place is super nice and they have really good food options! Beautiful front dining and bar area, a speak easy and an outdoor area with a small bar! Lots of parking in the lot out back (use the alley right behind the building), people park in the middle of the street which seems to be something a lot of folks get away with but I can't afford a ticket if the police come by so opted for the parking lot. Nice bartenders, good food and lots of liquor and beer options. We came here as a large group and there was plenty of space for everyone. The staff seems to run real slim so after you find a table you will need to order everything from the bar as the two times I have visited here there isn't a wait staff to support. Clean restrooms, clean facility, funny posters hidden around and great vibe all around. Hope to see they get a few more folks on the staff side to help keep up with the demand. Will be back for sure.

First time trying this jewel in Barrio Logan and was not disappointed. The food was great, me and my boyfriend had the Smokin' Carnitas Tacos, the Tri-Tip Tacos, and the Nachos; the three items had good portions and were very delicious. One thing I would say is that I wish the tortillas were more warm and flexible. As for the ambiance and the service both were fantastic. The night we visited was the last Trivia Night of the year and they gave away free shots to close the night on the house. Definitely visiting soon!

The pizza pepperoni is very good but the menu lacks focus so it's hard to know what else is good. Maybe the burrito with brisket is good. I was too full to try it. We got a couple things off the kids menus which were ok. They have Thorn on tap which is fun.

    Cool merch area!

It's $25 at regular price with no Old Fashioned (sad face), but holy cow was it deeeeeelicious! Get the peppercorn sauce. TRUST ME. That sauce deserves its own Instagram account. Seriously, bottle that stuff and call me--I'll buy it by the gallon. Omgeeeee yummmm. My friend's plate? Yeah... a whole different story. The birria was so dry, and no consomé on the side? Rude. Definitely wouldn't recommend or order it again. Also, shoutout to the lone ranger working the restaurant/bar. This guy was taking orders, mixing drinks. When he forgot our drink refills, I was like, "Dude, you've got enough on your plate." Poor guy was straight-up doing the most. Someone give him a raise. Parking was good for a weekday and ambiance was really chill. I'd definitely come again. Come check them out! You can thank me laters!

A friend at the table ordered the Zombie Cocktail from Sin Ship Spirits. It was 19.5% ABV but tasted delicious. Dangerous!!! Glad I wasn't drinking lunch that day... I would not have survived. Service was excellent and our food came out super fast. The indoor/outdoor layout made the place feel airy. There were tons of different seating options from bar seats, to booths, counters to stand at. Street parking wasn't too bad either. In addition to the great alcohol drinks, they had a self serve soda machine and a few other nonalcoholic options.

The vodka cocktails are great! They're refreshing, well-balanced. The food is pretty good, and I appreciate that the portions are generous enough to actually leave you feeling full. Their daily $6.19 happy hour menu is great too. The atmosphere is what really sets this place apart. It has a fun indoor-outdoor layout that makes it a great spot to hang out, especially on the weekends. They also host events like comedy shows and other entertainment, which keeps things interesting and gives you another reason to come back. One feature I don't think gets enough attention is the selection of board games available for guests. It's a simple touch, but it makes the space feel more welcoming and encourages people to relax, stay awhile, and have fun with friends.

There were four of us and we were at max capacity. Mike the owner is really nice. He explained all of the whiskey and bourbon and how it was made. He also makes moonshine. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the place reeked of smoke when we walked in. That was off putting. But all in all it was a good time.

Mike Curphy has been distilling alcohol for 5 decades. His product and stories shows that. Mike allows three tastings of any of his selection with the purchase of a bottle. Each selection has a story behind it and Mike brings the bottle to life. I tried many of his spirits but often find myself leaving with a bottle of his sipping cream. Similar to Bailey's, or even more so, Jamaican rum cream. Very versatile cream you can sip on the rocks, in coffee, or how Mike suggests, over vanilla bean ice cream. Great service and selection will keep bringing me back for more stories and a sip or two of his finest.

It is deep in East village and there are quite a few people experiencing homelessness on the streets outside. You will get a text stating that parking can be tough and they recommend getting a Uber/Lyft to drop you off right at the door. We had dinner nearby so we opted to drive and park. We were about a block away and it wasn't the best walk but no one bothered us and the doorman got us in right away and then checked our reservation. Look for the big red metal door! Once you're inside you are truly transported to a nautical themed speakeasy which is serving their own gins, rums, and vodkas. It was incredible! My friend got the gin flight which isn't on the menu and it was great to experience the different botanicals and then try them in cocktails. Loved the experience!

I made sure every trip back I had a layover at their distillery. When I moved back I told everyone I wanted to be closer to family but being closer to Y&Y is a close second! First off, they're woman owned and Laura is the epitome of a BAB (yes I follow her on IG religiously). They're also one of the first woman-owned distilleries in the country, meaning they make all the vodka and gin swirling around in those shakers. I was not a gin fan until I had their Sunday Gin. It converted me...but now I won't drink any gin but theirs. Seasonal menus will showcase some special cocktails, for instance their Winter Salad, but there will always be their classics year round like Prized Pony or Rhubarbie's Dream House. If you're entertained by nail polish names you're gonna love reading their menu. And if you love a drink enough they probably have a recipe card of it to make it at home (something that came in handy on the East Coast). Secondly the distillery is such a vibe. You know that friend with the gorgeous kitchen that hosts all the girls nights and parties? Plush seats, marble for days, great lighting and cute glasses to take pics of and post immediately? That's the vibe.  I've been fortunate enough to see Y&Y evolve over the years. Starting distilling tours, adding a food menu, hosting cocktail making classes (during lockdown they hosted these online and I could not have signed up fast enough) canned cocktails that now grace the shelves of stores! There are so many memories and experiences I could post here about that feature Y&Y but I'd be robbing you of the opportunity to make your own. So if you're deciding on if you want to stop by for a drink, you do.

There are quite a few events that they hold, so I would suggest to follow them on Instagram.
