Parking was packed, but we got lucky finding the last spot and some street parking. We were warmly greeted and offered a complimentary sip sample right when we walked in, which was a great first impression! The place was busy with the World Cup on, but we quickly found seats at the bar. Our bartender, Riell, was awesome! He was patient, friendly, checked in on us throughout the evening, and made us feel completely welcome. We ended up staying for over 2 hours because we were having such a great time and never felt rushed. Another staff member kindly surprised my friend with a birthday dessert and sang to her, which was such a thoughtful touch. Riell also let us try a sample of his crafted "Morning Mist" cocktail, and wow--it was so refreshing! Overall, we had an amazing first experience and can't wait to come back next month to celebrate my birthday!

The signage is small so keep an eye out. The owner, Jeff, is a riot! We did a tasting that was curated by him and our love for libations. He makes all of his spirits himself. His distillery started with gin which is why I'd never been because I don't like gin for any reason. I would love to say that I remember the different cocktails that he whipped up for us but we drank a lot and that was months ago. LOL. I can say everything was outstanding! My favourite was this fluffy daiquiri ice (Baskin Robbin's ice cream I love) flavoured cocktail that was indescribable but so stinking delicious. When our tasting was done we all lined up to purchase bottles. I bought a bottle of rum which was my favourite libation of the evening. I've been told the maple syrup and the pancake mix he sells is a must to buy so definitely go check it out. Looking forward to our next tasting, Jeff!

On one visit I ended up trying a whiskey made from beer -- something I'd never come across before -- and it ended up being one of my more memorable pours I've had there. That kind of discovery is exactly what keeps me coming back, and it speaks to the range they carry beyond the usual whiskey offerings and rye-focused selections. There were four of us and we were at max capacity. Mike the owner is really nice. He explained all of the whiskey and bourbon and how it was made. He also makes moonshine. When I say this stuff is strong!! Please believe!!! 3 tastings and we were lit! This was something new and I enjoyed it. Mike is a cool dude. Similar to Bailey's, or even more so, Jamaican rum cream. Very versatile cream you can sip on the rocks, in coffee, or how Mike suggests, over vanilla bean ice cream. It is deep in East village and there are quite a few people experiencing homelessness on the streets outside. You will get a text stating that parking can be tough and they recommend getting a Uber/Lyft to drop you off right at the door. We had dinner nearby so we opted to drive and park. We were about a block away and it wasn't the best walk but no one bothered us and the doorman got us in right away and then checked our reservation. Look for the big red metal door! Once you're inside you are truly transported to a nautical themed speakeasy which is serving their own gins, rums, and vodkas. It was incredible! My friend got the gin flight which isn't on the menu and it was great to experience the different botanicals and then try them in cocktails. Loved the experience!
