My friend and I went early on a weekday morning hoping there would not be any cigar smokers at 10:30 a.m. but we were wrong. So just know if you go there there's a good chance you will smell cigar smoke. On the special team in you no prices are listed which is very frustrating. Two drinks was $18. I have driven by a number of times, but didn't know there was a coffee shop adjacent. We were wandering around and I could use a pick me up, so we stopped in. There's a number of baked goods too but the surprise was adult coffees! I ordered the Sweet as Taboo, in honor of my Queen, Sade. This was a really good coffee drink! Rum, coffee and sweet cream...can't go wrong with that! They have a number of outdoor seats, but we sat at the entrance in these comfy chairs. Cako greeted people who came up. She really liked it here because she laid down. Definitely work checking out! If coffees not your thing, there's a cigar lounge next door. Such a Cool vibe here! Relaxed and casual but also eclectic! I stopped here on a Tuesday around 10am to meet a friend. It was not too busy at the time. I got a good seat indoors (it was a tad drizzly) but had a great view of outside with the open area I sat in and a breeze came through which I quite enjoyed. I didn't get a drink other than water. I am a regular customer here and come in frequently with my dog. The cashier who usually takes my order is always incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. She remembers me, gives my dog treats, and has consistently provided excellent customer service. This review is absolutely NOT about her. This review is about Natalia. Before my own interaction even started, I witnessed another customer let Natalia know that the restroom was out of paper towels. Instead of simply saying thank you or that she would take care of it, Natalia grabbed the paper towels and practically threw them at the customer. The customer even looked visibly uncomfortable by the interaction. A few moments later, my drink was called. Because there is loud construction happening outside, I had already clarified my order with the cashier to make sure she heard me correctly. When I received my drink, it appeared to be missing the oat milk, so I politely asked Natalia if she could top it off with oat milk and even stated that I had no problem paying for it. Instead of simply helping or explaining the charge, Natalia immediately became argumentative and condescending. She repeatedly told me that I "didn't order a latte" and proceeded to lecture me about how I should order next time. I wasn't asking for a free drink, I wasn't demanding anything, and I wasn't rude. I was simply asking if oat milk could be added which I did not mind paying for. What really bothered me was that Natalia then started directing her frustration toward the cashier who took my order. I immediately stepped in and told her it was not the cashier's fault because the cashier had actually clarified my order with me. The cashier was professional and did everything right. Natalia's attitude was completely unnecessary from start to finish. When I asked for her name, she gave it with the same attitude she had displayed throughout the interaction. As I was leaving, I told her to have a wonderful day, and she responded with obvious sarcasm. I've always supported this business because I genuinely enjoy coming here, and one of the biggest reasons is the excellent service I usually receive from the staff. Unfortunately, Natalia's behavior was unprofessional, dismissive, and rude enough that it completely changed the experience. I normally won't go out of my way to leave bad reviews but to be rude to a customer at 9:30 in the morning on a Monday wasn't on my bingo card for the week. The cashier deserves recognition for being friendly, patient, and professional. Natalia could learn a lot from her example. To be honest if Natalia is there when I come back for my morning coffee I'd rather go to another place than deal with her ugly attitude in the morning. Service is impeccable. They noticed it was my first time here and gave me the lowdown on the drinks and events happening in the space. Took time even though there was a line building up behind me to make my experience personalized. Didn't get any food but them cookies on display looked huge and delicious. Looking at the menu, their teas actually sounded more interesting than their coffees. But it was the beginning of my day and I needed some caffeine. So I went with a Strawberry n Cream coffee with oat milk. That was smooth. Not my favorite but the oat milk was the right choice. It enhanced the flavors just right. I also got a Chocolate Frosty with coconut milk and that was so good I wanted to turn back and shake the baristas hand. That is a must if you come here. About 20 spots to sit down and do so work. Bring headphones if you wanna listen to your own music because they do have 90s music playing which I was a fan of. Didn't make note of any outlets however. Later on in the day, you can order beer and wine there as well. It's a tiny place but powerful. It's BIPOC owned as well. Only downside is that parking is terrible there. Really laid back atmosphere with patio seating for the cigar smokers. I noticed they also had propane heaters on patio to keep you warm. Service was quick since it was in the evening and there was no one in front of us ordering. Iced coffee had more milk vs coffee ratio but you can still taste the rich bold flavor of the roast , I got a capuchino and I think since it's a smaller portion it has less milk and was super enjoyable for me! They had some desserts available in a small display on the counter but they didn't look that appetizing- (it was a little dark in there) They also had nice R&B flow of music going inside and a movie playing outside I could definitely see myself just hanging around! If you want to charge your appliances, there's outlets on the seating facing the street. The staff is nice and chill. They seem to enjoy their work! The plant store next door is cute as well. I got the ube latte and the chocolate cream cold brew and I think I'll be getting The chocolate drink from now on! Homegirl up front is friendly and warm. When I got overwhelmed with the number of pastry choices she was patient and helpful. I had no idea until I got there, so it caught me off guard to all of this and I wondered if I was in the right place. The place is small and open air, a great place to people watch or go sit outdoors next to the street and enjoy the weather. The person working there was super kind and patient, and I very much appreciated it. He also explained to us how the shop is a family run business that started as a pandemic project, which I thought was very cool. I ended up getting the Princess Peach, a peach tea with peach purée. He even let me smell the tea before I ordered! It tasted like a peach gummy and it was super delicious. My friend got a vanilla latte and also thought it was really good. I pop'd in here during an early morning walk around the hotel where I was staying. The space was inviting and chill and has some relaxing sidewalk covered seating.
