Ambiance A, Service A, Price A Menu options A Enjoyed dining here found the food was good while the interior was a comfortable and surprising in metro style with booths also it was quite and nice to be able to carry on a conversation without a lot of background noise. The menu options were many with a nice overall variety.

I think this place lies about their prices. This ticket says a large soup is $4.95 but they charged me $9.70 ,and I went back and asked and they couldn't explain it and tried to say it got to $9.70 because of taxes. I then said taxes wouldn't make it equal $9.70 and then he kept saying a small is $3.50 and a large is $4.95. I continued saying how is it coming out to $9.70 if a large is $4.95 and he switched and said no a large is $8.50. I am not going back there because $10 for a soup is ridiculous and lying about it is even worse.

There's not a lot of flavor honestly. I've tried coming here a couple times and each time I'm reminded why I don't like it. So I'm leaving this review more as a reminder. First time I ordered sushi here and it was all gross and super warm. I don't mind their bang bang shrimp, not the best but not horrible. Their lettuce wraps are okay as well. We tried some new things this time and the wontons were the worst I've had in a while. The 'stir-fry' chicken teriyaki had watery sauce and super plain. And the lemon chicken wasn't for me. Just not recommend unfortunately

Because of this I felt reasonably confident that they understood what "vegan" means and would be able to accommodate me. Well things didn't start out great as we asked our server about vegan options and they didn't seem to know what could be made vegan. We asked about the "wok favorites" on the menu (you can choose marinated tofu as an option) and were told after we ordered that the marinated tofu could not be made vegan. So about half the menu we'd been eyeing was not available for us at that point. I ordered a noodle dish with plain tofu (the only vegan protein available). I made it clear that I would like the dish to be vegan and it came out made with eggs. They remade it for me, but it just wasn't good. Wasn't good before they remade it when I took a bite and realized it had egg and wasn't good when it was remade. The noodles were way over cooked and slimy and the flavor wasn't great. Disappointed with this place in every way and would not return. And on top of everything else it's way too expensive for the quality of food.

Got the grilled chicken & steak, which was solid. The grilled chicken had a great char flavor, while the steak tasted like something you'd eat at a hibachi restaurant. The fried rice wasn't oily or dry, best part was how's the portion was. Got a side of 6 piece gyoza which was meat and vegetable filled; that was also non oily and fried just right. Took about 7-8 minutes for the order to come out which was a fast then around. Plenty of room for dining & facilities were pretty clean. They also have other menu items like bubble teas and ramen. The atmosphere looks nice, if a tad plain. But some of the tables had to be scooted out to get into the seat and they were heavy on a granite floor so loud screeching accompanied the otherwise silent room. Fast food style service and the annoying receipt signing which fast food shouldn't have was present. Also, the toilet wouldn't flush. All over, I'm not sure it really earned the star I gave it.

The food still felt authentic and full of true Hawaiian flavor. Coming from a family with roots in the Big Island and Maui, I can appreciate when a place captures that genuine island-style taste and atmosphere. One thing that really stood out was how they start you off with fresh in-house made pork rinds, similar to how Mexican restaurants serve chips and salsa when you sit down. It was a unique and welcoming touch. We ordered the spicy poke, Spam musubis, and a mixed BBQ plate with two scoops of mac salad. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The mac salad especially had that classic island-style taste that's hard to find done right. The staff was friendly, the decor looked great, and the restaurant had a warm, inviting feel. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for authentic Hawaiian comfort food.
