We were here for lunch today with another two couples. 11:30 on a Saturday. Immediately seated in a corner booth and the waitress was quick to take our drink orders and entrees. We ordered won tons and sweet and sour soup, General Tso's chicken, Bourbon Chicken, Broccoli and Chicken, Another Chicken dish, Thom Yum soup and a seaweed salad. Our friend didn't like the taste of her Bourbon chicken (and at first thought they served her the wrong dish). The friend with the soup and won-tons liked it a lot. The General Tso's chicken was also said to be good, as was the Broccoli Chicken. My Thom Yum soup didn't fare that well. I thought it tasted like it had too much lime in it. I usually have had Thom Yum with a shrimp or two, but this was with chicken. It had a little bit of a bite but was not near as good as I've had in other restaurants. I wasn't a fan of the seaweed salad. I had three friends order that here the last time I was in and they all raved about it. I'd never tried it, so it was a first for me. I guess I'm just not into it. Overall, everyone had varied ratings of the place so I'll give it a 3.0 for the group. Amongst us I think the ratings went from 1.5 to 4. Our lunch group of 10 went here for the first time today. Opened at 11AM and we were seated immediately in the back area where they have a nice room that pulled together two tables up to the long bench for seating us all. A lot of the guys were surprised that this was a full blown restaurant. For some reason they had the impression it was more of a take-out, quick serve place. They were impressed with the look and ambience. The waitress was quick to take our drink orders and came back shortly to take our lunch orders. Great pricing...most of the lunch specials are $8.95. We ordered quite a variety off the menu. A couple of the spicy Tangerine chicken with rice or fried rice, General Tso's Chicken, Beef with Broccoll, Spicy Thai Chicken wings and an order of "sea weed" (which was great according to the one that ordered it, Udon Noodles, Miso Soup, Egg rolls and spring rolls. Everyone thought the food was great. There was a lot of food and i thought I could've shared the tangerine chicken and rice. I had the fried rice and it was good. I had a couple of comments saying that they would've like a little more heat on the entree. I noticed that they don't have the little red "hot pepper" icon by any of their meals. Another Tangerine Chicken guy said he would've liked more heat, as did the spicy Chicken Wing guy! I tried a cup of miso soup, as I usually do when I go to Japanese/Asian restaurants and found it not as good as others I've had. Not sure what it was, but it seemed to be more of a cream color than what I normally get. That was my only complaint. Overall rating for the group was a 4.4. I the ambiance here. The table setting were arranged where you could be seated at a table or a both in an open setting or more private area. I placed my order for spicy mango chicken fried rice and a spring roll. The plating left something to desire. I was not really sure why they would place my crispy spring roll on the same plate as my main dish that had a sauce that covered the entire plate making the spring roll mushy. The flavors of the spicy mango chicken was definitely on point And my drink the tsunami was everything I expected. My server seems to be new so I will not be harsh. Let me just say this...The photo is NOT the actual photo (this one is from Just One Cookbook) but looks pretty similar. My plate looked so delicious that I dived right in before snapping a photo! The shrimp was super jumbo and plentiful. The scallops were great too but not many. The stir fry veggies were perfect especially the broccoli. I like a nice crunch without it being totally raw, The sauce and favor were excellent and the crispy noodles unlocked a core memory from childhood! Now on Sundays and Mondays, they have a $5 kids meal special. We always order the sesame chicken and the chicken seems day old every time (hence the 4 stars). The service was also great! Food Poisoning and Unprofessional Response at Your Restaurant Dear Management/Owner My daughter and I dined at your restaurant on Monday afternoon. Shortly after starting my meal, I noticed a bug crawling out from under my food (after I had already eaten an egg roll and two dumplings). I immediately brought this to the manager's attention, and while he offered to replace the food, I declined. On my drive home, I began to experience severe diarrhea, forcing me to stop at a local restroom. Unfortunately, the symptoms worsened, and I continued to have diarrhea while driving. Over the next several days, I developed severe vomiting, dehydration, and weakness. I was later diagnosed with food poisoning and dehydration at the emergency room. When I felt strong enough to communicate again, I called the restaurant on Sunday to report what happened. The woman who answered was extremely rude, questioned why I waited to call, and then placed me on hold without resolving the issue. I am deeply disappointed by both the condition of the food served and the lack of compassion shown by your staff. Their food is OK. I've never actually had a complaint about the non-sushi menu. The prices are not cheap, but they're not the most expensive either. However, tonight I purchased two of their monster rolls for takeout and was severely disappointed . The total with tax came to almost $31 and the amount of food you get for it is severely underwhelming considering it's on their premium sushi menu. The amount of batter was more than the size of the shrimp. I have had it many times, but not as bad as this. I ate 1/2 the shrimp and there was still 1/2 plate of batter left. I called, gave them the APPROXIMATE number of children (so they can honor the discount) and told them how many adults. Me and my daughter tried this place for the first time. We were very impressed. I got the Christmas roll from the jumbo specialty menu a miso soup and a peach cocktail my daughter had the kids sesame chicken with lomein noodles. We are often out eating sushi many places but this has to be one of the best rolls I've had! It came out fast and very fresh! My call in order was house fried rice with 12 lemon pepper wings. My request was for the wings was to have lightly seasoned. Because last time they basically poured the entire bottle of lemon pepper. The wings had NO season. Plain. Not a drop of lemon pepper. We live 15 miles away from Red Bowl. So wasn't going back. I called and explained the situation. I even sent this picture to the women.
