Took some friends that were in town for dinner after a lot of folks have told us how great the food was and man they weren't kidding. We started with the spring Rolls and you could tell they were made with fresh ingredients and arrived at the table hot along with some sweet chili sauce. We ran into some other friend there who had ordered the Mushroom Pepper fry app and hey raved about it so that's on our list for the next visit. I ordered the Chicken Chettinad and the waitress offered a medium spice level to start with which I stuck with her suggestion. It was very flavorful and nice and spicy but I'm glad I stuck with the medium spice level. We also added an order of the Chilly garlic naan with the dinner and the naan was very flavorful and nice and warm. We all left with leftovers for the next day. My wife ordered the Veg Vindaloo at the medium spice level and it was also very flavorful and she was happy with the spice level. The restaurant was busy but we were happy with the speed of the service and the waitress was friendly and very helpful. It's in a strip mall but the food clearly makes up for that fact. read more

We tried this family run place on our recent trip. The place was packed, luckily we hot a table immediately. But it can get busier so if you are a big group- reservations are a must. We tried few things- Bhel (was okay nothing great) they were out of other appetizers so we got Bhel. Paneer Angara and Naan were really delicious. Mango Lassi was also not bad. They were so busy but food came out on time. It was on Christmas day so lots of places being closed, there was an influx of people. The staff needs training on communication and how to handle people. We were seated close to the entrance and people were hovering near us while waiting for tables. They should ask them to wait outside. Food is delicious so highly suggest you try this place. read more

Excellent Food, Poor Dine-In Experience I've been a regular takeout customer and have always loved the food--flavorful, generous portions, and the option to add extra chicken is a great touch. However, this was only my second time dining in, and unfortunately, it was a significantly worse experience than takeout. Let's start with the positive: the food remains excellent. Well-seasoned, satisfying, and consistently good. If I were rating just on flavor, this would be a 5-star review. That said, the dine-in experience was disappointing, to say the least. The most glaring issue was the presence of gnats--lots of them. As soon as our food arrived, they started swarming our table. It was extremely uncomfortable and ruined the ambiance. We considered leaving almost immediately and only stayed briefly because we couldn't relax enough to enjoy the meal. This is something the restaurant needs to address urgently, as it creates a really poor impression and takes away from an otherwise great culinary experience. Other minor feedback: they bring out bottled water as soon as you're seated, feels like a bit of a money grab, and it's wasteful from an environmental standpoint. In addition, on our first dine-in visit, they served papris at the beginning of the meal--a small touch that made the experience feel welcoming- we were not provided any this time. In conclusion: I'll continue ordering takeout, but I won't be dining in again unless I hear about some big changes. Great food, but the dine-in experience needs serious improvement. read more

The food was absolutely delicious! We got the samosa as an appetizer and it was flavorful and the dough crust was cooked to perfection! The mint sauce was flavorful and balanced well with the potato and pea filling of the samosa. I feel like I could drink it its so good!! My husband ordered the tandoori (chicken tikka) and he said it was really good! He'd never tried Indian food and doesn't like curry so I was happy he loved it. It comes out on a sizzling plate like fajitas but its better!! Promise! I ordered the chicken tikka masala because thats my favorite! It was rich and flavorful. It's always my go to and it did not disappoint. The service was good. But they were a little sloppy with actually serving the food. When they placed the food down some of the sauces ended up on the table cloth. But the food was good so im not holding it against them. The place has a cute updated decor...the seats for the booths are pretty comfortable and its nice and cool inside--a must for the florida heat! Highly recommend this little gem! read more

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. We walked in expecting a good meal... and walked out completely blown away. Every single dish we tried was a masterpiece--bursting with flavor, perfectly balanced, and somehow better than the last. Just when we thought, "this is the best one," the next dish would arrive and prove us wrong all over again. You can tell this isn't just food, it's passion on a plate. We tried both veg and non veg dishes which all of them were amazing. Their home made ice cream was bomb. We tried kesar pista, mango, kaju draksh, and pistachio flavors. All of them were delicious. Incredibly insulted by the owner's defensive response. I brought my family here for Mother's Day dinner and we paid in full--we even turned down their offer of a 10% discount, so implying we wanted a freebie is ridiculous. We enjoyed an excellent meal at Chillez last night. I loved the coconut soup. It came very temperature hot which I appreciated. Just a lovely simple broth but so good. Also my butter chicken and the naan were spot on. We've been to Chillez a few times and I always complained about the service of water in a plastic bottle . Now your water is on the table in a glass. The food was delicious but I think it was expensive (no lunch menu although there are items on the menu not available other than at lunch) for a weekday lunch meal. During my vacation, I visited this gas stations and was recommended from the attendant who end up being the wife of the place she recommended me to, it was an Indian restaurant approximately 15 minutes away. I highly recommend this establishment. The food, hospitality, and ambiance are exceptional. We have another winning Indian restaurant. In our region, some Indian restaurants are great & some are not. This one is for sure excellent. The restaurant is clean & the server did a good job. My only complaint was the menu. The font was very tiny & so the menu was hard to read. Plus the menu had a shiny plastic veneer over it which reflected all the lights. Lol, this was one of the worst menus I've ever seen. Ahh, but the food was the star. I ordered Paneer Tikka Masala. It was truly one of the best versions of this dish I've ever had. The dish was so spicy it was inedible.(I understand Indian spices but this was completely inedible) It completely masked any other flavor. When I called to share feedback, I was told to drive 30 minutes back so the chef could taste it. Probably had some trust issues. First time today. Takeout. We had Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikki Masala, plus buttered Naan. Delicious. Loved it. Yum. Super healthy servings of a very light/fluffy rice. We will be back! The sauce on these two dishes were very similar. Next time I'll get just the butter chicken and try something more obviously different. I waited by the counter for a couple of minutes. Let me start with the food: Absolutely amazing. We had an appetizer and entrees and absolutely everything was flavorful and prepared to perfection. The server was attentive and very helpful without being condescending. We must have asked a hundred questions and he answered every question in a friendly manner. He obviously knew the menu and the food. We were seated in a booth which was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was quiet but then again they did just open and it was lunch. My wife and I are always looking for a new dining experience in our local area, but it is rare to find one worth a second visit. Fortunately, we found a great one here. Red Chillez is located in a nondescript strip mall, but the inside is simple and a bit spartan, but pleasant. We sat in a booth, but we noticed that the tables were set for 3, not 4. We were seated by the owner, who was very welcoming, we found out a bit about the place in a brief conversation. He explained some of the menu options. We had chicken tikka as my wife prefers boneless chicken, it came out very quickly and it was delicious. I had lamb vindaloo, my reference dish in a new Indian restaurant, and hands down it was the best version that I have ever had! The lamb was flavorful, and actually cooked in the vindaloo sauce as opposed to being tossed into the sauce at the last minute. We had an order of garlic naan, which was good. Other reviews have said that it is too thin, but I didn't find that to be the case. The meal was enjoyable and inexpensive, and the overall experience was positive. We will be returning, and I look forward to exploring more of the menu. read more

Red Chillez is definitely my go-to Indian restaurant. I've been there four or five times since they opened last year and have never been disappointed. They have a new menu that explains what the various Indian dishes are. My last visit I had chicken mango curry that was outstanding. Six of us were there and we all enjoyed everything we ordered. The fun part is letting everyone at the table taste everybody else's food. Warning: some of the food tends to be very spicy so you have to ask them to cut it back if you're not into that blow-your-socks off feeling. The portions are very large which means you get to enjoy this food again at home a few days later, something I truly enjoy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the restaurant is clean and like I said the food is terrific. What else could we ask for? read more

I have only tried a few Indian Food dishes before but this place has opened up a whole new world of great things to try and so far they have all been so flavorful and tasty! My favorite appetizer is Bhindi Masala which is made with Okra. The Chicken Mandakini was an awesome new try we usually get butter chicken but I think this our new favorite! For those eating with less sauce try Chicken or Salmon Tikka which is cooked in a clay oven with a great flavor. read more

PHHew, the best indian spot in st. pete. The food is so flavorful and they make it HOTTTT. Service was great, stopped here after hurricane Milton and they were kind and the ambiance is nice. I can't wait to try their paneer mahkani again. My only tip would be to add, the paneer tikka masala or paneer mahkani to the menu.... no everyone wants chicken tikka, paneer is the bomb! Just wow! So happy this place has opened close to the beach. The service was excellent! We had a main server but it is clearly a well oiled team. Quick, clean, polite, and explained a dish (plenty of options, large menu) if we hadn't had it before. Healthy portions, we shared our leftovers for lunch the next day. Naan (ordered the garlic) is thinner than the naan I've had- and it was delicious! The atmosphere is comfortable, decor is pretty and modern. Music was loud enough to enjoy and able to carry on a convo. The only downside is really no place to wait if you want to order to-go. This is the second time we've eaten here. We enjoyed the food enough to return on a Sunday afternoon. We were a party of three. We ordered the chicken korma and lamb tikka masala and enjoyed both. We also ordered a vegetarian dish, Navaranta korma, which was ok, it had potatoes. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with cloth linens. It wasn't too loud although it was three quarters full. The server who took our order and the gentleman who brought our food were helpful and professional. However, the young man who showed us to our table and took our payment, not so much. The dirty dishes and empty beer bottle were not removed even though he passed our table a few times and handed us the bill. Just wondering if this is how they operate? read more
