    Roasted chicken

One of the few restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre and overpriced. We had the mixed platter and the roasted chicken. The entree comes with a complimentary roll and either soup or salad. We chose salad. The vegetables weren't even mixed together, just thrown on top of each other. The flavors of our dishes were a bit lacking and the portion size was small for the price.

Came here with Mountain Based Tours - we had Cherie as our waitress. What a fun and delicious dinner! Our dinners came with salad or soup and we also tried the bean dip with chips. We also had the spaghetti with boulders and the fish with pinenuts. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was great! Would definitely return here!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The views are stunning but all the window seating was taken.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was awesome and so friendly. We had the sweetest waitress. We got right in around 6:30-7 with a party of six. We all ordered totally different things - so I'll speak on my food first. I loved the Mahi Mahi and roasted squash. My husband didn't like his cowboy steak and ended up feeling bloated from it later. My daughter ate almost all her spaghetti. Her friend said the pesto pasta had too much sauce and she likes a lot of sauce. The Cesar salad was finished so I assume that was good and my friend didn't finish his trout so didn't seem to love it. I'd come here again but I don't think I could talk my family into it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated right away and had a table by the window in the back and were able to enjoy gorgeous views for sunset.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was quick and food was great. Salmon was cooked as requested and it was very well seasoned. Steamed vegetables were delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was busy in the restaurant but not loud at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommended if you are passing through Capitol Reef!

Went to dinner in Torrey. Not a ton of options in this town. Food overall was fine. Not necessarily noteworthy but not bad. The salsa tasted fresh, but had no spice. My salad was fine added chicken, that was grilled well. Again nothing wow special. My spouse did really enjoy his steak with sauce. He says was cooked well. Dessert with the pie was good, a little fresh whipped cream would add a nice touch over the canned stuff. Service was good though. Friendly staff. The restaurant is old and could some updating but the views are top notch.

I was there one month ago. Wonderful place. I stayed in that hotel. This restaurant is belong to the "hotel"/motel". 1) Decor is very traditional look and nice 2) waiter, waitress are super nice and helpful 3) One night got steak dinner, one night got spaghetti. Steak dinner is better and the mash potato are so good. Amazing. 4) Very nice ambience and relaxing.

Pork chop (blob of applesauce on top)

One of the worst meals have had in a long time. I had chicken- the thinnest chicken with the skin on and wings attached. It was awful. Spouse had pork chop that had a blop of applesauce on it - looked awful. Pork was chewy. Buns were dry and hard. Plus the meals were pricy- $27 each. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was good & it was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only saving was I could watch a humming bird.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It gets a 2 because of the staff & hummingbird. Otherwise it would be a one.

Amazing hospitality at the Rim Rock Restaurant. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped in the door. Staff was delightful with just the right amount of "checking" on how we were doing. Steaks were delicious and prepared just as we requested providing generous portions. The sunset here is out of this world! If you happen not to be lucky enough to grab a window seat, don't worry...most seats in the lower dining room have a great view. My ONLY suggestion for change is to add better lighting on the window tables. Once the sun goes down, those tables are DARK and the little candle doesn't do the job. I saw several diners using their phone flashlight to read the menu. Overall...100% get in here!

We had a great dinner here with friends on our last night of group travel. I had the trout and seasoned fries. DH had steak with acorn squash. The views were great and the service was perfect.

Rim Rock has a few different restaurants. We had pizza at one of their restaurants and it was delicious. There's tvs, small inside area, a bar/bar seating, and an outside area. The food was delicious but didn't list what is actually on the pizzas. We got a vegetation one that came with policies and mushrooms which we both don't like, that's on us for not asking directly what was on it. The service was friendly and quick! There's not a lot of restaurants in the area, so it was quite busy but didn't affect the service in anyway.

We ordered a medium Hang'em High pizza with Canadian bacon, sausage and pepperoni and it was exceptional. The Tucson tamale was packed with flavor and tasted homemade. My youngest ordered the baked pasta but swapped the marinara for pesto and it came out perfect. Everyone left happy. The service is what really made the meal stand out. Our server was incredible. She never let my Diet Coke get empty. Not once. She was friendly, fast and the kind of person who makes you feel taken care of the entire time. She was the definition of great service. The place has a relaxed Torrey vibe and the pricing was fair for what you get. Hot food, good portions and a team that clearly cares. If you are in Torrey, Rim Rock Patio is absolutely worth stopping for. Great food and even better people.

They even gave us a whole bag of ice for a small injury. Our waiter was the absolute best, bringing all the energy and made us fell so comfortable. The vibes here were perfect, with a pool table right in the center. It did feel a little empty, though, with the tables all on the sides and a big empty space. The bathrooms were nice and clean with sinks outside. It isn't a vast menu, so we were able to try a little bit of everything. The portions are a good size, so be careful if you are sharing, as we may have slightly overordered. The Santa Fe Salad is a great portion, even without chicken, surprising for salad we even took some home. It was completely packed and flavorful. We also got the Mac N Cheese, nothing special. The real show was with the meats. We got a full rack, and they were delicious. Nice and juicy and easy to eat. We asked for extra BBQ sauce, and it was great. This was definitely my favorite, followed by the Smoked Brisket Sandwich. This was packed to the brim, and dipped in the BBQ sauce really made it. We also got the ribeye steak; this wasn't too fat, if anything, more on the thin side. This and the ribs came with a roll and baked potato. For dessert the cherry pie was so good, it was a little pricey for a piece of pie I cannot lie but I still enjoyed.

My family stopped by here and our way to the National Parks and are so glad that we did. As my dad said, "this was the best meal of our trip so far", comparing it to fine dining in Seattle. Circle D is a relatively small establishment overall, and so we had to wait for a table for about 20 minutes or so. The owners and a young waitress whom they had hired a couple weeks before were the only front staff. All of them were very friendly. As far as the food, we ordered the smoked tuna Niçoise salad, the bone-in pork chop, and the lemon chicken. We also had the truffle fries for an appetizer. The TRUFFLE FRIES were super flavorful and packed with umami flavors. The cheese was perfectly melted on top giving it an extra rich and savory flavor. The SMOKED TUNA NICOISE SALAD was also excellent. The fish had a well-rounded smoky taste and the salad was HUGE. All of the vegetables were extremely fresh and crisp; they included tomato, avocado, red radish, green beans, and olives. While the smoked fish was the star of the dish, the baked potato was by far the BEST baked potato I've had in my life- crisp and browned on the outside and soft in the inside. The BONE-IN PORKCHOP was the highlight of the dishes. I don't normally like porkchop as I usually find it too dry but this one was super moist. The apple and parsnip compote was BOMB. This is the must-get dish if you come. The LEMON CHICKEN was wonderfully tender and came with the amazing potatoes as described above and fresh green beans. It had prominent olive and lemon flavors and reminded me of the chicken my mom bakes in the oven at home. The atmosphere is cozy; and homely. They have about 10 tables in total or so. It is clean and they have an open patio if you want to dine outside. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere
