    Sirloin steak
    Anna L.

We had dinner at this restaurant and inn. The food was decent. I got the steak and fries. The vegetables were a bit plain but good. The steak was decent and too much for me. The fries are uniquely shaped and fried perfectly but a bit oversalted. We also had the creme brulee which was good at first but then became too much for us.

Kids top sirloin with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. Generous sized portion for kids. We took half of it to our hotel.

Food, ambience and service are all 5 stars*****!!! We dined there this past Friday and were amazed at how everything tasted so delicious! My sister and I split the ribeye and my child had the kids sirloin steak. From the strawberry lemonade to the dinner biscuits to the Caesar salad and main entree, everything was seasoned to perfection!!! Our order was brought out in a timely manner after the salads were finished and our drinks were always refreshed (we really appreciated that, especially after a long day of hiking 5.9mi. @Capitol Reef) ***The location of this place was relaxing and so cozy*** I would definitely dine hear again and next time try to stay at this Inn***

    Peach cobbler

We got dinner here one evening while visiting Capitol Reef National Park and it didn't disappoint. Our server was great and our food came out quite fast. They started us off with biscuits and butter. We got the beef brisket which came with coleslaw, seasonal vegetables, fries and the sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. We got the peach cobbler for dessert with vanilla ice cream. Would highly recommend stopping by when in the area.

Tasty well seasoned steaks, cooked to perfection. Friendly, attentive service. We also stayed at the motel, which was spotless, with comfortable beds & pillows. Would stay there again if ever in the area.

My wife and I wanted a steak and this was the closest to our hotel. I fact it is located at the broken spur inn. Had the potato skins for an appetizer. I have had them all over the country and I have to say these were the smallest I have ever had. Looked like they cut off the end of a potato and put cheese on them. They looked like stuffed mushrooms. I ordered the ribeye l, and the wife the sirloin. They cooked the perfect. They were a bit tough for an expensive steak. The taste was just average or below. In the plus side the service was excellent and the food came quickly. All in all it is not terrible but when you pay high prices you expect a little better quality.

Don't let appearances deceive you! This place is a diamond in the rough landscape. We were seated almost immediately and brought warm homemade biscuits to start. We ordered the loaded potato skins to start...a perfect start to the meal. Everyone ordered a different steak-all of them delicious. The Salisbury steak was especially delicious. I ordered the petit tips with garlic shrimp. The steak was perfectly cooked (medium rare). For dessert we had homemade peach cobbler, which was so good that it was practically inhaled. We also ordered 3 scoops of homemade ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, and coffee) for only $5! Super yummy meal at a very reasonable price.

The Broken Spurr is one of the few restaurants in the area. The food was okay, which it was better but was a good choice for one of our last nights there. We went on a very busy night so the wait was about 45 mins. With being a small town, going out to eat can be tricky. The burger was good, but nothing special. The pasta was also good with the shrimp added. Alcohol is not served here.

Ribeye is excellent. Also the local plum apple cider. Nice waitress. Cute dining room cowboy wooden style

Staying in Bicknell after visiting Capitol Reef National park and needed a place to eat dinner…read more This place had lots of positive reviews so this was our choice. Wow! Reviews didn't lie! It's located in Torrey- you can spot the gravel parking lot with lots of cars in front. In fact we actually didn't see the restaurant because there were 2 rows of cars parked in front-a good sign! The menu was varied- from pizza ( more about that later), steak, salads, sandwiches, trout, mexican food. Good selection of alcoholic drinks, beer and soft drinks and even ice cream floats. The meals came with a choice of salad or soup and choice of baked or mashed potato, fries or vegetables. I ordered the steak sandwich which was strips of steak with grilled vegetables -onions and peppers, cheese and a spread of guacamole. It was served on crusty ciabatta bread. I asked for no added salt on the steak and they graciously accommodated me. It was nicely seasoned and didn't need the extra salt. The meat was nice and tender. Hubby ordered the starter dish taco (2) and it had a large piece of battered fried fish. It was crispy and moist. It could be an entree! I saw other diners order the burger and it was thick and large. Another party ordered the large pizza- let me tell you it was huge-almost big as a lazy susan. It could easily feed four or more. And the price was so reasonable- $23 for the premium pizza and $22 for the others. Looking around, all the meals that came out were generously portioned. No wonder the place was full! In spite of the steady flow of customers, the staff was very friendly and helpful and came by to refill waters. We didn't have to wait too long for the food in spite of the busyness. For those wanting a good meal after a day in the park, come here!
