It has been a minute since I've been here, probably before the pandemic so early 2020. They have redone the place and it looks wonderful, especially the ladies restroom! Beautiful and super clean! We were seated immediately in a booth as the picnic like tables are gone. Our server quickly got our drinks to us and gave us a minute to look over the menu. He kept a good watch over us the entire time we were there. My friend had the 1/2 fried shrimp and 1/2 fried oysters with fries and a house salad. Everything was really good except the shrimp were over cooked. Don't you hate when your seafood is overcooked and it's tough? But it was edible...I had the 1/2 fried catfish which was DELICIOUS and 1/2 buffalo shrimp which I'm sad to say were also overcooked. As a vegetarian, it's pretty hard to go to a place like this and find something that you like on the menu, but the staff was very nice and ready to accommodate. I ended up ordering the garlic noodles with a side of veggies. They actually cooked everything all together., But the garlic noodles were not flavored enough so we had to ask for lemon pepper seasoning to season things up a bit. The restaurant was clean. Sadly I was not satisfied with my seafood boil. The sauce was horrible I almost choked on the clams they were extremely tough like I literally thought I was going to choke. Corn was overcooked the best thing on the plate was my egg. Just extremely dissatisfied. The server was cool but really jittery and not even giving me a chance to explain. I guess he tried to make it right he took the clams back bc they were not edible and put a 10% military discount which took all of $3 off our bill. Now, years later, thought I'd give it another try because I heard they changed owners and the location is conveniently close by. For a weekday 3:30 PM, the place had a good foot traffic of customers. Service was great and quick. I ordered the Cajun Parmesan oysters, 2 servings of the "small" boiled crawfish, side of garlic noodles, and "small" boiled mussels. First glance, everything looks great! Oysters were delicious, but the cajun crisps (?) at the top made it a little too salty. The crawfish came out easily, which goes to show that it's fresh. However, all the sauce went to the bottom of the plate and not really submerged within the crawfish. It was still good because you can just dip it right into the sauce. For a small (approx 1 lb), it was very fulfilling for one person. My daughter ate the mussels and garlic noodles and enjoyed it just as well. This was my first time hearing about this place , I so happened to be in the area and decided to try it while i was waiting on my show to start across the street. Food : I ordered the fried rice combo which came with shrimp , chicken , beef , onions and carrots i dont believe it had any eggs cause i don't remember tasting any , The rice was a big portion I'm telling you you can definitely share it with someone or eat half now and the rest later but definitely not in one sitting i can guaranteed you will be pleased with the proportion the over all rice i give a 4/10 and that's cause it was a decent amount but the taste it tasted like nothing i had to add salt , pepper and requested for soy sauce to make it taste like something . They give you a little sauce cup of something that looked like yum yum sauce but tasted like thousand island salad dressing I'm not to sure what that was about but I bet yum yum sauce would of did this rice justice. We also order chicken nuggets and sweet potato waffle fries for the kids which the nuggets were to oily and had no taste the fries were hot and fresh . We had chicken wings for a appetizer, which was a sweet chili flavor that happens to be hot and fresh but i probably would of recommended them to be fried hard . Okay we came here on a whim and were truly blown away with the quality, quantity, and flavorful mastery that is Red Crawfish Seafood restaurant. To start I must commend the restaurant for their heavy pours of wine. Our party was very pleased with only have to order a single glass instead of a couple. This should have been an indication of how the rest of the meal would turn out... We had the calamari as an appetizer, which was perfectly seasoned, light and crispy. We all ordered our own serving of crawfish etouffee which in hindsight two of us probably could have shared one bowl it was huge! The Etouffee comes with clam chowder but I subbed gumbo for it, it was definitely not a cup but a bowl. I made the mistake of ordering a side of garlic noodles. I only say mistake because I was so full that I barely made a dent in any of my meal!! This all said, today I have been day dreaming of those noodles all day and cannot wait until I can eat my leftovers! Another in our group ordered the garlic noodles with shrimp. This meal was delayed a little bit so the server comped a seafood dynamite appetizer for the table, which was so tasty. However we barely touched it because of how full we were! Always a great time every time we come by. We usually visit the Loganville location since it is a little closer to home but we always look forward to visiting the original location. Recently stopped by to celebrate my brother getting recruited for college football. There was only one person for the whole dining room but another lady came to help. Despite me seeing that this restaurant had a 3.7. I still decided to stop by because it was so close to my hotel. I have been on a seafood kick lately, but it definitely ends today. I think this place is more designed for pick up than dine in, although I saw other customers coming in to dine. The seafood boil was pitiful. It only had three muscles in it and about five shrimp. It contained a lot of crawfish and a cluster of crab legs. I wanted garlic butter, but you cannot select your own sauce. The only option is a house mix but you are allowed to select the spice level. Customer service was mediocre. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. The bathrooms were clean by the way. I was starving after a long commute to get down here and I was moving around all day. They could have bought me an empty plate and I would have eaten it but sadly, I'm wondering if the empty plate would have been better. Half of my plate was lukewarm and the other half was cold, nevertheless I still finished the majority of my food because I was famished. I don't suggest this business. i've been eating at this restaurant since high school as it's one of the original Cajun boil restaurants to open in the suburbs of atlanta. Recently I revisited after a hiatus, and Red Crawfish is still just as worth a visit like any other times. Prices are reasonably priced - crawfish fresh and decently sized. Mussels were really meaty. Service was very attentive. This is also one of the very few cajun boil restaurants I know that allow you to substitute your add-ons for free (instead of corn on the cob, you can substitute with sausage or potato for free, for example). read more

Sunday, 11/18/2020 - Ate lunch-dinner at Red Crawfish Seafood & Wings. Upon arrival, plenty of parking. Restaurant was nice. They seated us at a table enough for 4. There's 5 of us. So they moved us to a big table to fit all of us. We set our food family style so everyone can try a little of everything. Here are my thoughts on this restaurant: Pros: 1) we didn't have to wait to get a table. Seated us right away. 2) hostess was nice. 3) waiter was nice. Even took a group photo of us. 4) staff walked around to check to see if tables needed water refills. 5) they provided plates, napkins, silverwares, and plastic bibs. 6) the foods we ordered were ok tasting (in my opinion). I've had better where it was more flavorful. But it was still ok here. 7) there's only 1 stall for the women's and men's bathroom. Women's bathroom was clean. 8) chicken wings were nice and meaty. Cons: 1) Seafood platter was pretty salty. The spring roll is technically a fried egg roll. Parmesan oysters was on the saltier side. 2) was expecting a little more crab in the seafood platter for 1. Our kids have loved this restaurant over the years and have always loved the service and food. This year, on the first day of 2022, my family went to this restaurant and was very, very, very disappointed. It didn't taste as good as it used to, the sauce was already too burnt and dark, the seafood was all dry, and the crab was cold. The fried rice was salty and pressed, so it wasn't fresh, and the crawfish were dry as if they had been in the refrigerator for a few days. The yum yum sauce wasn't even the old color, and the taste and smell were completely different. The gumbo was also salty and smelled so bad that I couldn't eat it. The raw oysters and clams were okay though. My family only ate raw oysters and clams, tasted everything else, and left it all. I complained to the workers, but no one said sorry, and Lui Wong, who looked like a manager there, was very rude and treated customers like that if you don't want to eat, don't come. My family came out with almost all the food untouched and paid over $100. Money isn't the problem, it's offended that I was treated like that on New Year's Day and ate such tasteless food. The attitude of the staff was also really rude. I feel very bad for something like this to happen at a restaurant I have loved so much over the past few years. It is understandable that these days, food costs are rising a lot and restaurants are having a hard time finding workers, but our children and our family couldn't eat such garbage. They should apologize first, but that attitude was really bad. If I don't like it, I don't go.
