Food allergies are not simply a preference or something that should be taken lightly--they can be a serious health and safety issue. What is especially disappointing is that I frequently visit another Pappadeaux location and have always had a much better experience. That location follows proper procedures when I inform the staff about my allergy, which shows that accommodating and protecting guests with food allergies can be done. I hope management takes this situation seriously and provides additional training regarding food allergies, communication with the kitchen, and how staff should respond when a guest has an allergic reaction. I enjoy this restaurant chain, but this experience was unacceptable and made me feel that my safety and concerns were not taken seriously.
