If I could give zero stars, I would. I had a very disappointing experience at this establishment. When I went to check out, there was an older man at the register who seemed odd. It took him nearly 10 minutes just to ring me up, as he kept fiddling with the POS system for some reason. It felt like he didn't really know what he was doing or was deliberately stalling. I had 1.66 lbs of yogurt with a few toppings, but my total came out to around $22, which is absolutely outrageous for what I got. The yogurt itself was just okay--not terrible, but definitely nothing special--and the toppings were clearly stale, possibly old. Some even had that dried-out texture, like they'd been sitting out far too long. What's worse is the pricing. There's no clear signage or explanation of how things are being weighed and charged. I genuinely believe there's something shady going on here, and I wouldn't be surprised if prices are being manipulated behind the scenes. It feels like they're taking advantage of customers who don't notice or don't question the charges. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to check their receipts carefully--if you still decide to go at all. I was parking my car in busy downtown Oceanside, and my son (10) really really had to use the restroom. I let my son run ahead while I parked my car and he came right back out and said he wasn't allowed to use the restroom, it was for customers only. My son told the man working (owner I presume) that his mom was just parking the car and we are customers. The owner still refused to let him use the restroom. I parked and followed him in and let the owner know that we are in fact customers, he asked "what your child doesn't carry money with him? The restrooms are for paying customers only" We ended up getting yogurt and the fruit was clearly very old and had been sitting out (specifically the strawberries looked very slimy and had a strong smell) and the yogurt was very watery (not creamy like it should be, felt like frozen flavored water). Honestly very disappointing and unpleasant experience. We live like 5min away and will never ever come back. For a place that's main customer base is children and families, definitely not family oriented or inviting. Let the kid use the bathroom. read more

Also love that there's a wide variety of toppings. Seating: A lot of the small shops similar​ to this one don't really have outdoor seating. BUT there is a bunch of indoor seating in here! I guess they have to be strict with customers here due to the transients at the nearby train station, but as an honest customer I didn't like all the rules here. I've never been to a self serve pay-per-ounce frozen yogurt place that didn't give you free tap water, but I was told only bottled water is sold here. There's also a key to the bathroom with an awkward giant keychain that keeps falling off! Also, they have signs saying that samples cost 25 cents unless you actually buy something. Pretty unfriendly although it didn't apply to me because I bought a full cup at 49 cents an ounce. What annoyed me was that 3 of the 4 samples I got were super watery coming out of the yogurt dispensers. The flavours were plentiful & the prices lower than Canada where I am from. We checked in on the Yelp App and discovered a BOGO 50% off deal! Favourite a of mine included cake batter & cheesecake. My daughter went for the Oreo and chocolate. Toppings were plentiful but it would be nice if they had signs telling you what everything is & I didn't find any whipped cream. I'm giving them a solid three stars because it's not as good as Pink Berry. Tart will always be my favorite so I'm not a big fan of all the crazy flavors. The location is not too big and they only have a few tables inside. There are some tables outside but then you have to deal with homeless people asking for money and some of your yogurt. Given this shops specific location in combination with the pretty sketchy people that probably roll up in there from time to time that's how he has to be to protect his business. I've been here many times and from what I have experienced the yogurt is decent. The only really creamy thick flavor is the triple chocolate. This frozen yogurt shop is not even remotely as wonderful as the one in the mall in south Escondido of the 15. I'm admittedly a novice about frozen yogurt but I can tell you what was missing: Nicely frozen froyo. What I mean is.... one of the flavors I selected was almost a slush. Thick like.... a milkshake, not soft serve. The others all melted REALLY quickly and it wasn't particularly warm out. The texture of the most solid flavors wasn't as thick and creamy as what I'm accustomed to, either. The flavor of some was good... but others had a mild, but present, chemically taste that was off putting. While they have a decent selection of toppings, it's not as many as I've become accustomed to. The samples are 25 cents each if you don't buy the froyo in the end. I think they should at least offer one for free to see if you like it whatsoever. I can totally understand they don't want overheated people from the beach wandering in and sampling all day long... I get that. But... the first sample seems like it should be free. I might come here again if I'm in Oceanside and I *MUST* have frozen yogurt and the other places I've already tried and they're worse. SOooooo... yeah... probably won't return. Their only saving grace was the obviously fresh selection of fruit. If I loved super healthy junk food that would lift my skirt right up! Red Cup was not crowded when I was in need of a frozen treat of some sort and so that's where I went! I have a problem with always getting too much... I know, how do you really get too much? But it's a little pricey. They need smaller cups to save me from myself! So, the way that I can tell that a yogurt place is good is quite simply this: Is one of the available toppings Captain Crunch cereal? If the answer is yes, this is a good yogurt shop. If the answer is no, I may just leave. For me, yogurt is all about getting to eat Captain Crunch cereal. So, Red Cup, GOOD JOB! On this experience I went with the boring and usual TART YOGURT topped with CAPTAIN CRUNCH... but, I did sneak a taste of some kind of berry yogurt in there, too and I gotta say, it was tasty. I fully enjoyed this experience. For two yogurts it was $9 and I think that is pricey, but heck, I'd pay that at Cold Stone, so whatever. I liked you Red Cup. Delicious frozen yogurt. They also have these cute dividers for your cups so that you don't blend all the flavors. I got the strawberry mango, which was between the strawberry and mango. I also got the Oreo milkshake which was vanilla and Oreo. Pretty standard, toppings and then pay. The ladies who worked here were really nice as well. Bottom Line: I've eaten yogurt all over North County and this place is ok. The Details: They had about ten flavors of yogurt and then a counter full of toppings. Some of the toppings, like Fruity Pebbles cereal, seems so gross to me but I assume they appeal to kids. My go-to yogurt selection at any place is cake batter with some sort of crushed candy bar or Reese's Pieces. For some reason the cake batter yougurt here was very watery and icey.
